Yeah, he's all for the Vendetta, he'd just prefer that the Iselsi don't go extinct over that, which is likely to happen if they stay the course when the sky is falling.

Sadly, the actual Iselsi didn't get that memo, and he doesn't have so much influence that he can dictate terms to them--he keeps them from getting caught and being noticed by secular authorities or the Bronze Faction bigwigs, not giving them orders.

...huh. This leaves open the possibility of Grace and Maia being turned against each other, but in a way I didn't expect. With Grace fufilling a debt by assisting the Vendetta and with Maia likely to be in the way of the Vendetta now (since she just wrecked a plan to assasinate V'neef with a tampered with first age weather machine).

That's unlikely. Maia and her hearthmates are distinctly part of one of the major realm factions. Dogara doesn't want a civil war, and most targets maia would stick her neck out to keep from being assassinated are the kind whose deaths could prompt the civil to start.
