Alas, instead we only got a dad who was around to congratulate Ambraea on her triumphs and be there for her after her mother disappeared. How tragic.

I know CFC was a late 2022 KS so it was already way out of of the question, but I do wonder if an hypothetical Fire Aspect, Star-Blessed Ambraea would have been able to initiate into The Path of Celestial Design or a similarly themed sorcerous initiation through her heritage.

Pretty easy, I think. I intended to represent her being Star-Blessed by her just having a knack for Divination, and would have given her like, a tendency to do card readings frequently. Mechanically, that'd be a thaumaturgic divination variant of the two dot Reading the Tea Leaves ritual from the corebook, as described on page 278 of CFC. You don't technically need to pay for the Thaumaturge merit if you're already a sorcerer, although you could still throw down the merit dots for it if you're modelling her before she initiated or it's really important for your immersion. In practice a Fire Aspect Ambraea would probably have been written really differently, but I can only really speculate on that.
