A Typical High School Life Filled with Supernatural Battles

[X] Go see who your secret admirer is after school. After all, getting a love letter and having a girl be the one who confesses her love to you is enough to earn one of life's trophies, according to Zane.
-[X] Call Lucille and the ORC and have them follow you as there is a chance that this is a trap.

[X] Ignore both letters and head to the ORC to meet up with Lucille. You want to see what's her take on Ichiyama's war declaration.
-[X] Show her the letters and get her opinion on them.

Ignoring both letters just to show them to Lucille accomplishes nothing that going to meet one of them while getting the Club members anyway doesn't.

This will look like Lucille is jealous. At least to non Gifted.:V

Part of it is that I'm not particularly interested in fighting the idiot who can't even write a proper challenge letter, and part of it is that we already have best waifu, so we don't need another girl.

Part of it is that I want Luci-chan to trust that there is no chance that we'll leave her behind for some hussy.

And part of it is that I'm far more interested in going after the asshat who defaced the school.

Which is why going to meet the "admirer" is a better choice?

Which is why I would suggest also taking Lucelle to meet her.

If it's a trap, great, we brought back up, if it isn't, we got an ally. I can easily see we getting the worst of enemies if we snub a genuine admirer. Hell, that's the entire plot of Iron Man 3.

Only Lucille is empowered, the rest of the club isn't. Why are we bringing them somewhere we expect there would be a supernatural fight?

Also, walking into a trap with a backup is inferior to not walking into a trap, unless you want to get something specific out of it.

Ignoring the letter does nothing to the relationship - I can come up with a dozen of excuses of why we would do so. An one-sided invitation is not an obligation. It's not like we agreed to the meeting and then ditched her. Involving Lucille, though, would be a cause for animosity if the letter is legitimate, but the chances of that are close to zero.

-[X] tell Lucille our location so she find us just in case.

Bringing people along on a possible confession tend to be a bad idea. My romcom anime says so.

Calling in the ORC to back us up is going to necessitate telling them why we feel like we need 3-4 people to come with us to a love confession. Any decent explanation we can give involves revealing why we think we might be targeted, which means revealing our powers, which our character has been reluctant to do.

Plus, the declaration of war makes talking to the only other Gifted we know pretty important. It would probably be a good idea to make sure we're both on the same page in regards to preperation and response as soon as possible.

As a note I edited my post to have the OCR secretly follow us. That makes more sense than them just coming with us.

Why are you bringing the entire club? Is Lucille even strong enough to help?
Perhaps bringing the entire club is not the best idea, but we could of said that Lucille would of been useless against the golem and we all know how that turned out.

So the OCR probably can help in some way, and if it is out of their league they can run. And Lucille, while weaker than us, does still have a power that will help in a fight. And any advantage is better than no advantage.

I would agree to bring Lucille (this is close enough to what the competing option is offering except that it forces a confrontation on the "admirer's" terms), but I am not ready to involve the rest or let them know about our condition.

Who (the golem) was distracted and by itself. It also didn't show any special powers other then being real good in the physical department. This guy might turn out to be multiple guys and not as easily distracted. They are also probably a lot more dangerous.

A fair point, but the point I was trying to make is that they can still be useful.

If it was a realistic option I would honestly prefer to leave both letters and not go to either meeting. But that is not really an option. It is better to gain an understanding of at least one of the variables at play, and all we can do is minimise risk for now.

Honestly I hope we find someone with a scouting ability we can team up with at some point. Or perhaps develop a similar ability ourselves. That would really make these situations easier.

Sneak attacks perhaps, while an enemy is busy smashing our face in they could run up and hit them in the back of the head with a hammer.

But as I said, they should run if the person, or people as the case may be, we meet has a troublesome power or is so much stronger. They can help with weaker opponents, stronger ones should be left alone.

Besides, having more people helps with intimidation. And there is always the chance that after seeing we and Lucille have powers they might think the rest of the club might have some as well.

On a more meta level, I will admit meat shields are attractive.

As expected of SV, you people are too paranoid. I'll just say this, someone really wants to meet you.

[X] Go to the cherry tree by the school lake after school. Even if it turns out to be a fight, it'll only make you stronger. After all, receiving a challenge to a fight after school is a man's romance. Right after giant robots of course.

Letter in the white envelope was a love letter from a secret admirer apparently, written in girly handwriting and scented with a sweet perfume. The letter was filled with a lot of purple prose but you manage to get the gist that they were asking you to meet them in Room 301 after school.
Meeting someone in an isolated room. Ambush.

Almost certainly a dude.
The other one looked like some kind of fight challenge...maybe? The handwriting was atrocious and you couldn't read half of it. It seems like the sender of this letter wanted you to meet them by the large cherry tree near the school lake after school. It had been signed but you couldn't read the name.

Meeting someone under the cherry tree. Romance.

Yeah I am going to go with Veekie here.

The sender is obviously so shy their handwriting shakes everytime they try to write about James.:V
