A Typical High School Life Filled with Supernatural Battles

I can see it now, us leading the resistance movement made up of the small horde of supers who just want to be left alone when the inevitable factions rise and attempt to assert their dominance over the city ala Academy City from To Aru.
Indeed. Why not start with our club?

Also, us heading the resistance? Nah, that's too much bother. Lucille could manage it, though, she is already a leader.

However, she starts giggling uncontrollably as tears of joy pour forth from her eyes. The shaking soon stops and she slumps against you, her knees having given out in relief over vindication of her hopes and dreams. Her weight pushes you over and you find yourself lying on your back as Lucille lies on top of you still laughing, her arms around you as she rests against your chest.

"I'm never letting you go." She says suddenly as she snuggles against you.

Also, Building on the new Ship is now taking place.

Everyone but Lucille getting powers seems to be a recipe for disaster. That character arc goes in one of two directions, and the second is rarely pleasant.

Sorry, not sure what you try saying here. A researcher searching for something that always was under his very nose is a common theme. Take SOS-dan, for instance. In more meanings than one, too. A group of people with a certain trait lead by someone who does not possess it is yet another common trope.

What character arcs and what directions are you talking about?

Researchers of the supernaturals are rarely supernaturals themselves, for fairly obvious reasons. You don't want Lucille to lose interest in what was her life's passion since she was little, do you? Others are in no danger since they never had that passion to begin with.

I am genuinely confused.

Because this is a quest, and we are naturally going to become involved in conflict. While I am not disputing that she will enjoy researching the supernatural, if everyone but her gets powers things can go badly.

Sure she may be perfectly happy and just accept it. Or she could start to feel useless, but even then accept that she is useful in other areas. Those are two common character arcs.

There is also the arc where the character feels useless, and as their friends go of to do what they cant they start to despair. As I said combat will be likely and if everyone else gets powers but her, then how would it feel to see everyone else getting hurt. Granted their are positive ends to this kind of character arc. But just as often you have something along the lines of, well...

It can end badly is what I am trying to say.

[x] You wish you knew how to be happy. In general, you mean.
Because I interpret us to be a deeply, existentially bored person, that dosn't know how to not be or act apathetic. Even when we want to help somebody, we don't know how to act except as though we don't care - we barely know how to feel that way. Or at least, that's how I want to interpret it.
Also, it sidesteps the problem of turning happy by making us not us by letting us know how rather than just making us happy.

[x] You wish for a coat, its a bit cold.

We Robin now.

...Actually...

As I've been saying, I highly suspect this is something of a pseudo-monkeys paw. We'll sill get our wish granted, But something will happen that means incoming suffering.

So based on that, I'm gonna go for the safest option:

[x] You wish for a coat, its a bit cold.

Rule Number One: When given a potential monkeys paw wish, don't try and make a complex wish that covers the loopholes: Wish for someting so simple it can't possibly be fucked up in any meaningful capacity.

Also, I can see us just being completely satisfied with our life at the moment.

-[X]Maybe another one for Lucille?
-[JK]Make it a trench coat. You vaguely remember a show where the main character wears one, and it looks badass.

You smiles and thank her. She blushes ever so slightly before shaking her head and gets to her feet.
Ah, gotta love the scent of fresh shipping in the morning.

Monkey paws can make ANYTHING bad, even something simple :p

Man our pc's power is Paper Manipulation, just like a lot of manipulations it can get REAL op :p

On the one hand, Coat Wish is pretty cool and probably going to win. On the other hand:

[X] You wish that you could do this every night.
