If you want to benefit two companions at once, Upgraded Amazing Grace for Hyper Reactor + Grace of the Glaze + Elixir Grace should allow Gisena to directly induce a High Sorceress Ascension in Aeira, Adorie or Letrizia. She'd also be able to create Elixirs capable of a wide variety of medium-strength buffing effects, worth a few stat +s at Hunger's level.

Letrizia - Imperial or Devouring Sorceress
Aeira - Threnody or Guillotine Sorceress
Adorie - Winter Sorceress

You know, that does sound pretty dope, and more graces can solve more of our problems or provide extra mitigation for our curses.

[X] Amazing Grace
[X] Aeira
[X] Nightmare Flight

Issue with Amazing Grace is that while it's really good, it also stops us from spending our Arete. As such it is just a no-go, sadly.

One thing that I think has been overlooked, so far, is the existence of the Maiden sealing graces. This suggests, to me, a pretty quick and viable path to powering up nullity in order to get Tier III apocryphal mitigation. We should probably plan to power up Gisena next month in the RoE if this is the case.

But we can spend 12 Arete on it? Granted, that's not nearly as much as we could spend via Always Forward, but it's something.
Yeah, but it's not enough. You basically exit the Pillars with Decimation going on, Apo primed to proc and EFB worth of Arete sitting around doing nothing until you get picks(which are likely to be related to that Apo proc). It puts us in a very awkward situation.

As I thought, my Snow Queen write-in didn't get much traction as I expected, not that have been arguing in favor of it much, really. Simply put, it has hard to argue that Adorie's inexperience with combat will have worse effects than the crack in our Blade, and picking both means we leave the Realm with no personal power or even Fisher King. There's just too much we want to do, really. Hopefully clearing out all the "basic" actions will let us unlock better stuff next time.

I have no idea what our actual current speed ISH Is but feel like I should math things to ensure this is considered properly. Word of Rihaku in the Discord General on July 21(Circa a Fire Woken, establishes our speed as 1.4 to 1.6)

Exact words:
your speed right now is like tier ~1.4-1.6

Our speed at that point was 41*(1.3-.05 for the punctured Soul penalty) for agility, combined with 7*1.15 for willpower with the punctured soul penalty to account for Cut Through, leading to a total of 59.3 Agility

Our current Agility is 61 with a 278 percent buff that'll probably be 280 before too long when grievous exertion fades, combined with 22 Willpower with a 158 percent buff that'll probably be 160 before too long when grievous Exertion fades.

Aobaru provides some mix(I don't know exactly), of a 70% Physical Attribute Buff, a .1 ISH Agility Buff, or both. Haeliels Favor provides a .2 AGI buff on the ISH in military situations.

Our Agility before Aobaru and ISH buffs is (61*2.78)+(22*1.58) = 204.34, that's roughly 3.446 times our Agility Circa a Fire Woken.
Our Agility After Aobaru but before ISH buffs assuming he provides both is (61*3.48)+(22*1.58) = 247.04. That's roughly 4.166 times our Agility Circa a Fire Woken.

ISH Scaling is presumably hyperlogarithmic. I have no idea how to math that part. So the question is, what is our current Speed ISH? Is it 2 already or is it 1.7, 1.8, 1.9?

Can we just talk for a minute about how absurdly strong pillars is in the long run? To the point where I'm kind of disappointed we didn't heroic upgrade it for more time. This first pillars run, while having to deal with multiple fires, is still extremely productive. And we get to do this every month, gathering more skill each time.

A Favor And A Broker

With the attainment of the ability to mitigate the Decimator's Affliction via fish, alongside it's mental bonuses, Hunger once again found himself in a frozen moment. "I must admit, I have never seen fishing used to mitigate a Curse before." The Accursed commented, the ghost of a smile upon his face.

Hunger managed to kneel more slowly this time, thanks to the mitigation of Tyrant's Doom by the Realm. Thus he didn't resemble a servant panicking at his lord's attention.

"Is there any possibility of using it for yourself?" he asked. If it could be used on a portion of a Curse, then, logically...

The Accursed nodded. "Some. This alone would be enough to prove that my investment in you was well-spent. As such, I am prepared to offer you some Favor. Not enough for another Remittance, but enough for minor items and abilities that might be granted to-" he paused.

"Hm, actually, there's a been a slight rewriting of the local omniverse in recent meta-time that could be fortuitous. How would you like to meet my new/old adjutant's adjutant?" he asked.

"That sounds interesting. I assume they also offer deals to certain individuals?" Hunger reasoned.

"Yes, for the moment he is unoccupied, allowing me to stretch out what might ordinarily constitute a Favor and bring him here. Though none of his powers are especially potent when granted to a normal human, several factors make that less of an issue. Even ignoring the Progression you possess as a Cursebearer, Gisena's Grace studies would benefit immensely from mental endowments, and more magics would offer her insights even if she might lack direct synergies with them. Further, a few of his powers might qualify as a Lesser Remittance under certain circumstances. Then, of course, there is the factor that your companion Adorie has pocket change of 100 Mythic Platinum." The Accursed explained.

Hunger blinked. "I assume he charges that for the abilities in question?"

The Accursed made a gesture that left image spots, but also got the point of a hand waggle across. "Mythic Copper, Mythic Platinum, and Mythic Jade. Each is worth a million of it's common counterparts, and each is of immense value to him and those he sells the coins to. I can allow you to trade in a Favor for 10 Jade apiece, but you would otherwise be limited to the Platinum, and you lack enough of it to fill out the entire list for all of your companions even ignoring what you could only buy with Jade." he explained. "I can arrange it so that you may trade the Favor for Jade as he arrives, if you wish. The combinations are likely to be in line with several Enhancements worth of progress, and not only for yourself, but you may well wish to save the Favor for Remittances or Wishes. The choice is ultimately yours."

Hunger needed more power now, as he would need to spend his last week here either Sating the Decimation, or restoring his blade, meaning he would be little stronger than when he arrived in the absolute sense. Ironically, Aerie and Gisena may have gotten the most out of the Realm so far, as Aerie's progress in her Imaginary Element was of significant value to her and the group as a whole, and weeks of uninterrupted research were incredibly valuable to Gisena both personally and as a unit in the party. Letrizia, Aobaru, and Adorie had certainly benefitted, and the former reported that Verschelgorge was pleased, but so far they had all gained relatively little. The choice was clear. He nodded his acquiescence, and time resumed, with a different figure, one much, much weaker than the Accursed to the point he actually looked like a normal human if you couldn't feel his power. Hunger suspected he might be able to take this being in a fight if he were at his peak, but that was not his goal so it was irrelevant.

"Uh, hey Hunger. Who's this guy?" Letrizia asked, the group having been nearby when his interaction with The Accursed began, and thus present for the Curse Broker's appearance. It felt strange to have this interaction play out with time flowing beyond himself and the merchant.

"I am the Curse Broker." the figure nodded at them. "Hunger has called in a Favor with by benefactor's benefactor, that I might sell you my wares." he raised four fingers. "Transmogrifications, which directly improve your bodies, including immortality and eternal youth. Color Magics, which affect your personality as they bleed directly into your Essence, but also provide great power if wielded properly. Numeracies, number-based magics with many beneficial effects. Verses of the Higher Tongue, which are generally more esoteric, but each you know grants you greater knowledge of that Tongue, and in turn make it easier to learn more."

"Oh, I see, we could all use more power." Aobaru admitted. He was clearly down about how the group was generally falling behind Hunger in power.

"However, my own Curses prevent me from simply giving these powers away, so I will be needing some of your Mythic Platinum in exchange. Most powers cost no more than two, so there is no need to be concerned with running out unless you spend as much as possible for each of your companions, particularly since the Transmogrifications are of no use to the Armament, based on the human body as they are." he explained, though Adorie still sighed as she pulled out her coin purse.

"That would imply the Color Magics, Numeracies, and Verses would be useful to him." Gisena pointed out.

The Curse Broker nodded. "Color Magics and Numeracies work with any being able to wield magic, which is generally any being able to think and/or in possession of a soul. Verses additionally require speech, gesture, or rune, but that should be little issue for an Armament, and some of the side effects are beneficial even if you cannot use them." he turned to Hunger. "The agreement made stands, so I will also show you my Jade wares, though your lack of Mythic Copper means that those will be barred to you."

"I assume each type of coin has specific uses the others don't." Aerie commented. "Otherwise enough platinum should be something you could trade for Copper or Jade." she pointed out.

The Curse Broker shrugged. "That is possible for some items, but yes, there are certain things I can only use one currency for, and so there are things I only charge one currency for. I will explain the basics of my tags for my wares, and then you may peruse the list.

The powers on offer grow at different rates, but I've divided them into convenient categories as an aide to decision-making. This only measures how long it takes for you to progress within the ability in question; a weak system that's easily mastered could have Fast Progression, while many of the mightiest arts suffer from Slow Progression because each tier represents a vast gulf of power. Color Red is an exception, having little in the way of a ceiling and Progression swift enough that under the right circumstances a Cursebearer's growth could be rivalled.

Refer to the purchase descriptions for specifics on that purchase's capabilities. All times given assume the practitioner makes a reasonable, but not obsessive effort to fulfill the requirements for advancement, which is not necessarily a good indicator where a Cursebearer is concerned, particularly since you may well purchase multiple Progress-enhancing abilities per person. Normally, however, the character is actively seeking targets/wealth while leveraging their magics, or training for several hours a day, but not devoting their life to the practice. Extreme talent, diligence, or serendipitous circumstances can influence growth rates significantly.

For example, a character with the Numeracy ability of Ten Thousand can practice with full alertness, concentration, and meta-analysis at all times, which may translate to a full tier increase in Progression Speed for mental-only skills, and perhaps half of that for physical ones.

Slow: Unlikely to reach more than Initiate level / double baseline ability in the first few months. Adept level / noticeable gains within years. Master level / very large improvements within centuries.

Average: Initiate level within weeks, adept level within months, master level within decades, grandmaster level after a century or two.

Fast: Initiate level within days, adept level in weeks, master level within a few years, grandmaster level within a decade.

Note that each tier of Baseline, Initiate, Adept, Master, and Grandmaster takes exponentially longer to achieve, but is also an exponential improvement. A Master of Color Red, for example, might have region-scale Essence manipulation, where a Grandmaster might have continent-scale, though full reality manipulation will be significantly smaller in scope.

Now, my wares, and keep in mind that you possess 100 Platinum, and no Jade of your own.

My Transmogrifications may alter your physical bodies, but requires a base form compatible with them, so machines, even the likes of an Armament are ineligible. Transmogrifications are also incompatible with each other, so you may only take one regardless.

Half-Beast [2 Platinum] - Become a were-beast Ethereal, with the power to assume human, hybrid, and Shadow-Beast forms. Your Beast form resembles the animal of your choice and possesses five to twelve times human speed and strength. Larger forms are mightier; smaller ones are swifter.

Regardless of form, you possess supernal flesh; resistant to magic and impervious to physical force, save that inflicted by your critical weaknesses of platinum and jade. Platinum cuts through your flesh as though it were butter; jade, as though it were air. This proportionally reduces the effectiveness of any magical defenses, as well. Do note that magically charged versions of these substances are even worse in this respect

Can grow in power by feeding on the essence of other magical creatures, much like your Armament. Variable Progression, usually Average. Base lifespan of ten centuries, with youthful vigor for seven. Shapeshifting in either direction is rapid and painless, but you revert automatically to human form during the day, so you will spend 8 hours or so in human form whether you wish to or not, at best, on most worlds, barring mystical interference.

Elysian [1 Jade] - Your ideal physical form within human bounds. Tailored to your specifications, lifted from your imaginings, or any combination of the two. Elevated to the functional peak of human physicality, free of all illness or malady, and possessed of eternal youth, ageless immortality, and regeneration both swift and comprehensive. Powerful magics, or annihilation on a molecular level, can still bring about your end. Note that this alteration applies to your base form, so outside regeneration effects and magical maladies will also be affected, while base-form amplifications like VigorFlame will treat this as your new baseline.

Color Magics are, in a sense, partners. They will bend you to accommodate them, but do their uttermost to preserve your life in return. Ordinarily, I would warn against choosing more than two for risk of the Mental Contamination shattering your mind from the pull in multiple directions, but I am only offering two.

Gold [1 Platinum] - The Resplendent Gold has powers twofold, each formidable in its own right. Its wielder may project constructs of golden light from their body, and her fortunes outside of combat are substantially improved. Advances in power by accruing material wealth, most efficiently in the form of precious metals, though artifacts such as Hunger's Ring also count for quite a bit. Construct strength is purely a function of advancement, while proficiency in use relies on a combination of advancement and skill.

At baseline, the wielder may create two constructs each the size and strength of a limb. With a minor lord's treasury, they could conjure ten constructs the size of a full-grown man. With a queen's, they could emplace entire armies with Color magic alone. The secondary power of good fortune accumulates more slowly, but at high levels can reach soundly implausible levels of benefit, such as finding true love in a year, or winning sizeable jackpots on a weekly basis, and can theoretically mitigate the Apocryphal Curse by virtue of making it more difficult to achieve the complications it causes, reducing the severity of it's procs in effect, even if mechanically nothing has changed. Its greatest strength is its Majesty, often being found in nobles and royalty, its greatest weakness its Arrogance, as is the most common flaw of leaders besides Greed. By the same token, nobility and royalty frequently find themselves with a distinct advantage in terms of both base ability with this Color, and in ease with which they might gain greater wealth and by extension greater might, though Old Money families also see such potent talents in this regard.

It generates warm golden light that solidifies when deployed in construct form.

Red [1 Jade] - The Emperor Red, mightiest of all colors. Its remit is nothing less than Essence itself, and may amplify or diminish the fundamental nature of all things according to its wielder's desire and skill. By compounding his own essence the wielder may steadily enhance the power of his spirit and magics, including his command of Colour Magic. Spiritual attributes such as charisma and willpower, as well as all magics under the wielder's command, will improve at a geometric, then exponential rate, even if the wielder takes no action beyond passively circulating the Red about his body.

He may drain the essence of foes by touch to accelerate this process, and eventually affect first nonliving, then even abstract or conceptual objects: depleting a fireball as it strikes his skin, unmaking magics that target or encompass him, even reducing the effects of plagiarism upon his repute, or age upon his form. Effects that physically touch his blood are much easier to affect in this way. Conversely, by expending essence he may reinforce the fundamental existence of his body, implements or allies, augmenting their physical and spiritual power to superhuman heights. Infusing essence into an attack, he may amplify its effective damage; into a verbal argument, its emotional salience.

Eventually the range and finesse of this ability will improve to the point that, by carefully modulating the relative essences in the people, objects and phenomena around him, he can effectively exert total control over local reality. This can be used to resist diminishment effects inflicted upon the user, such as Decimation, though Curse mitigation requires at least master-level ability for any significant degree of it. The Ring of Blood has an extremely strong affinity for this Color, both by virtue of similar abilities compounding directly in your manipulation of one or the other, and because it's Bloodcasting may piggyback off of this effect, and the reverse. Even a modicum of skill with this Color vastly improves Bloodcasting for this reason, and the reverse is also true.

Fast to Extremely Fast Progression, depending on activity. Though this power has nigh-limitless potential, it offers very little in the way of immediate might, and would be unsafe to rely upon alone in the short-term. Its greatest strength is its Ambition, and its greatest weakness, the same.

Though there is no external manifestation, the wielder's blood glows brilliant red in wounds and cuts, diffusing into nebulous light if spilled.

Numeracies are number-based magics. Generally very direct, as math is a very hard field, but they can be extremely potent due to that. While they do not, for example, benefit your Astral Rank beyond what having access to more mystical abilities would do, they will usually provide major direct bonuses to performance, and as such allow you to resist anti-Rank effects better due to more Rank-independent power. I understand you have a bit of an issue of relatively bloated Astral Rank and lower personal strength, correct? These would be excellent for mitigating that problem.

Seven [1 Platinum] - Brute elementalism, control over the Classical Elements of Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, Wood, Metal, and Void. You may manipulate one body mass' quantity (volume for Void) of each with adequate dexterity, power and control both improving with practice, but not to an enormous degree. A master of brute elementalism is perhaps five times as potent as a beginner, and may wield his constructs with millimeter-level precision, but will never break into the molecular scale from this power alone. Average Progression.

Can control existing sources of a given element, but cannot create them whole cloth. For example, wind manipulation may be used to generate a usable void. With superb multitasking, it may be possible to control all seven elements at once. Cannot directly manipulate elements within living beings, but the undead are usually fair game. I will admit, I'm curious how this might interact with Imaginary Elements, particularly ones that already have access to one of the elements Seven grants access to, if in a modified form.

Ten [2 Platinum] - Tenfold strength, speed and resilience, stacking multiplicatively with your baseline parameters no matter how great or deficient, and the fine control to use this power without inconvenience. A power that is as uncomplicated as it is essential, for many. Note that this stacks with VigorFlame, it doesn't multiply, meaning you will only get a roughly fivefold increase to your parameters compared to before. It may be possible to modify VigorFlame so that it multiplies instead, but the Numeracies are generally inflexible, so I expect little progress on that end.

Ten Thousand [1 Jade] - Perfect multi-tasking of up to ten thousand instances simultaneously. Allows you to act as if devoting your full attention to each task, with only physical limits constraining effectiveness, and 'stacked' instances improving mental stamina for that task. Type twenty essays at a time, one with each finger and toe, while remaining as alert as if you'd devoted your full attention to each quadrant of each sense individually, while mentally training every magic system you possess, while reading two books (one with each eye) and holding a conversation, while meditating, day-dreaming, collating learned information, brainstorming your next creative endeavor, and making contingency plans for the next thousand most feasible scenarios given current information.

Pit instances against each other in adversarial hypotheticals to game out likely responses to feints, techniques, stratagems and conversations. Control every consciously-available muscle simultaneously in perfect unity with the precision commensurate to your full attention. Attain enlightened perspective with the speed of one engaged in meditation with functionally limitless mental stamina for every waking hour. Act at full mental capacity at all times, in all relevant tasks, without the accompanying boredom, fatigue, or lack of executive function.

Verses are not on the level of Universal Truths, being more akin to Words of Power which combine to form a Higher Tongue. Indeed, it is likely you will encounter beings capable of using them, or at least with knowledge of them, such as that Astral knowledge broker you have previously encountered. However, the price for such knowledge is generally steep where it is available to begin with, and access does not translate into talent. It can be to work of a lifetime to fully understand a Verse. This makes sense. Even a faded, degraded form of a working done by The Accursed's ally's ally is a thing of incredible power and complexity. Should you purchase them from me, I will grant you expert-level understanding of the Verses you take, allowing you to use them with proficiency immediately. Their Verse-length determines casting time, regardless of the means by which they are cast.

As I mentioned, each Verse you know makes it less difficult to discern others, and to upgrade ones already in your possession. Given that even all four available provide less than half of Average Progression, and the effect is exponential, if you buy a Verse for someone, seriously consider buying all of them for that person."

Step Up [1 Platinum] - Short-range teleportation and personal augmentation. Any who learn this Verse experience a fundamental step-up in their mental parameters, improving general intelligence by roughly one standard deviation. By taking a single step the caster can move to any unoccupied space within twenty meters. Up to five pounds of belongings may accompany them. No cooldown if individually invoked; three-second cooldown per invocation with Long Verse.

All aspects of this Verse - cooldown, intelligence bonus, recitation time, range, type and degree of spatial manipulation - can be improved with training (Slow Progression) with no apparent upper limit. In a far eon the caster might demonstrate total mastery of space out to an infinite distance, not merely teleportation by oubliettes and pocket realms, spatial transposition and simultaneous manifestation, with an intellect towering incomprehensibly beyond the reach of mortal men.

Verse: One phrase.

Long Verse: Twenty sentences to activate this as a passive enchantment for the next six hours. The user may teleport without invoking the Verse as a passive ability, subject to the cooldown above. May not invoke the Verse normally while active.

Stitch in Time [1 Platinum] - The user may skip, pause, or rewind time by up to nine seconds. Skip: the user, or an object they touch, is projected forward in time by nine seconds, retaining their relative spatial position. Pause: the user freezes time. They are unable to move for the duration, but can think freely. Rewind: the user rewinds time, retaining their mental state from the affected time. Can't travel further than nine seconds back from the user's present; three rewinds would allow one to re-attempt the same task three times, but not travel twenty-seven seconds back. Entities of immense power may resist this Verse.

Nine total uses per day, with additional uses accruing mental fatigue:

Skip & Pause: Moderately fatiguing
Rewind: Highly fatiguing

Verse length: One word.

Second Fiddle [2 Platinum and 1 Jade] - This exceptionally costly Verse grants a power unlike any other. The user will be attracted into the life of an exceptional individual whose combination of wit, courage, pluck, fortune, and outrageously unfair abilities will see them carried to the commanding heights of power, respect, and socioeconomic success. The user will forever play second fiddle to this Heroic individual, but will find he gets along with them especially well, with near-immutable bonds of mutual loyalty. The largesse, assistance, or mere incidental circumstances of this individual will see the user elevated to a level of success only one tier below the Hero's own, but the user themselves will never attain power, fortune, or position to truly challenge their Hero's.

Two caveats apply to this Verse: first, once invoked, it cannot be disabled, ensuring forever that the user will be lesser than the Hero. Second, the user's intervention somewhat disrupts the Hero's fated triumphs, causing victory to be highly probable rather than guaranteed, especially in the case of Cursebearers. Users must take care not to undermine their Hero's efforts. There is also an extremely minute risk that the Hero will be slain by a being wholly beyond the remit of Fate - which is the only way to de-activate this Verse. Cursebearers qualify for this.

Verse length: One phrase.

Perfect Storm [5 Platinum or 1 Jade] - A Verse that can shift on demand to become one of a substantial collection of sub-Verses offering a broad variety of effects. Contents include:

*A single-word Verse that conjures a crackling barrier the size and strength of a heater shield, which moves according to the user's mental command
*A five-sentence Verse that conjures a fortress of four winds capable of withstanding a nuclear blast in mundane force, an archmage's volley in magical force, or some equivalent point along that gradient implied
*A two-sentence Verse that grants the caster the illusory disguise of any reasonable humanoid form -/+30% their present volume
*A one-hour Verse that transforms the caster into a being of blazing actinic energies, capable of fighting evenly with high-tier Ethereals. Lasts fifteen minutes.
*A single-word Verse that stows or retrieves one item from a portal of swirling winds which leads to a closet-sized pocket dimension
*A one-sentence Verse that conjures a mystically potent blast of Wind, Water, lightning or ice, though considerably weaker than Bolt from the Blue
*A two-sentence Verse that, when spoken in the presence of a reasoning being, renders them awestruck and highly impressionable, though this can be resisted
*A two-sentence Verse that grants swift and highly-maneuverable flight, protected from inclement weather and the resistance of the winds
*A variable-length Verse that can summon rain and strong winds within seconds, thunder and lightning within minutes, hurricane-force gales and cyclones within hours, and catastrophic nation-leveling typhoons within days of concentrated recitation.
*A five-hour Verse that grants scintillating, breakthrough-level insight into a problem of the caster's choice, at the cost of permanently disabling one other sub-Verse of this collection. Problems of sufficient difficulty may not be wholly overcome by a single insight, no matter how scintillating. Some of the more difficult Graces, for example.

Now, what will you purchase?"

Adorie was quick to notice what she wanted most. "Numeracy Ten Thousand would make my rule much, much more competent." she pointed out, which was a fair point, as much of the reason for her presence as one of his companions was in order to rule holdings of his. "Also, If Gold Magic can turn wealth into power, then my kingdom should qualify, correct?" she asked, to a nod from the Curse Broker. "That would mean Letrizia and Lord Hunger should also gain a great deal from it, as respective heiress and ruler of significant holdings." she added. "My bloodline should be enough to keep any mental effects from getting too severe as well, so you should be able to combine the effects of Lustrous Gold and Emperor Red without significant worry, though if you have to pick one, I would prefer Numeracy Ten Thousand to Emperor Red for myself."

"No need to worry, unless anyone has any objections, I had planned to buy Elysian for everyone but Verschelgorge, and Emperor Red and Numeracy Ten Thousand for everyone. If no instances of Half-Beast are taken, it's impossible to spend the full 100 Platinum without spending it on people who aren't here." Hunger stated. 6 pieces for the Elysian, and 7 for Emperor Red and Numeracy Ten Thousand. It would require burning 2 Favors, but still. "Every other choice that requires Platinum combined is easily within reach. Though I'm debating Second Fiddle. It's not especially useful to any of us, so taking it would be purely for the sake of faster Verse research." he explained. Not to mention the only ways to get it were either to burn another Accursed Favor.

"I'll have more than enough avenues of research with just what you'd planned to purchase hun." Gisena noted. "Not that I'd object, but..." she shrugged.

"I'm happy with what I'm getting, honestly." Aobaru said, scratching at his head. "You're already being really generous getting us those Jade things. How are you getting those anyway?"

"Cursebearer Hunger recently gained 10 Favor with The Accursed. 1 was spent to meet with me. 10 Jade may be gained for each Favor spent." he paused. "I apologize for revealing that without permission, my Curses force me to answer questions of my buyers if they could reasonably extrapolate the information." he added, with a look at Gisena.

"Yeesh, so you've only got 9 of the things and no way to get more reliably? Second Fiddle's not worth it." Letrizia shook her head.

That was good enough for him. He hadn't been married to getting Second Fiddle anyway. 77 Mythic Platinum changed hands, and two Favors were spent, and in turn, the party reaped a bounty of new abilities and increased strength the moment the Curse Broker disappeared. The widening of their minds alone was incredible. They dispersed to get a feel for their improved performance.

"Hey! I can turn my fire into normal fire and back now!" Aobaru reported, overjoyed. Having a modified version of one of the elements Numeracy Seven granted had drastically improved the effectiveness of both, and his impressive control over his Imaginary Element had benefitted his mastery of Seven.

Letrizia soon reported a similar boost to Sharpbright, but much weaker, as the Imaginary Element didn't directly correlate to anything granted by Numeracy Seven. By the same token, the Elementalism Numeracy had boosted all of the Imaginary Elements of the remainder of the party a bit, but not much.

Of more interest was the vast legions upon legions of Gold soldiers Adorie could now wield. She was somewhat awed by having an entire army she could make on command. Hunger was a bit annoyed to find he was actually the weakest of the top three with Gold for a very simple reason: his domain was the smallest and least wealthy, even with the detriment of Letrizia not actually being ruler of the inheritance she was headed for. Still, Adorie's personal combat power had been improved immensely by this and Numeracy Ten.

Speaking of which, they had gained well over 5 times the speed and strength they'd possessed yesterday. Discounting Rank, the Aobaru of today might actually have been able to put up a fight with the Hunger of yesterday even if he was taking it seriously, which was impressive on it's own merits.

Gisena happily pranced over, placing a hand on his blade, and the crack shrank nearly in half. "With all the insights Color, Numeracy and Verses have given me, and my now towering intellect," Hunger felt he may have miscalculated. "I've completed the Grace to fix your sword. I'd estimate about 5 hours per Grace until I run out of the easy ones." The gleam in her eye was downright manic. He supposed he could relate to a desire for power, but this was that and an endless curiosity rolled into one. He may have created a monster. "You've officially spoiled me rotten hun." Gisena commented with a smile, apparently seeing something of his reaction on his face.

"No issues interfacing with Verschelgorge!" Letrizia thankfully offered respite. "It looks like both of us having Ten Thousand keeps us from having any problems there, though if I weren't immortal now," ...And the sinking feeling was back. "I'd worry about my heirs having issues using him. I can't wait to have him healed." A smile that wasn't quite vicious stretched across her face. "If Verschelgorge had been this much stronger back when that Beast ambushed us he'd have ripped it to shreds. Once he's back to full strength, he might be the strongest Armament in the Human Sphere. There's maybe two Armaments whose Shrouds are specialized enough that I'd put money on them winning instead, and since Red can make him better, I wouldn't give that a year before it stops being true." she stated, glee radiating off of her like a child who'd been promised ice cream and received an entire carton for themselves.

"Once I've finished Clarion Grace and Mental Apex, I'll work on making you girls Sorceresses." Gisena told Adorie, snapping her out of her entranced state.

"Oh, that would be excellent! We can't train with it until we have it, so Ten Thousand won't benefit them... unless you've got a Grace to let it apply retroactively." Adorie speculated.

Gisena thought it over, then shook her head. "No, that would take the full three weeks, and I don't think Apocryphal will give me that long without a very big distraction. You'll have to wait until next month."

"Would you be able to develop new Graces from ours or would we just be getting Graces the Maiden already had?" Adorie asked, not seeming to particularly mind the extreme reactions everyone else was having, and apparently immune herself. Her Astral self imposing a queen's grace, or just her nature since she'd been a higher Rank than almost anyone else in the Realm practically from birth and was thus less prone to being affected by power?

"It probably varies!" Gisena shouted as she walked off. Hunger managed to catch her saying, "With all the unusual circumstances and magics in these girls, they might well get Graces I've never seen before. I wonder if I can unlock unique Graces for them based on those, and for me based on their Graces? A virtuous cycle of Grace building..."

Hunger decided to distract himself from the madness he'd brought on himself by devoting even more mental instances to mental sparring to try and get his skill with the Forebear's Blade up to par. With the boost from Ten Thousand, he was sure he could actually train effectively. It also meant that constantly training was now an option for him. It wouldn't work with Praxis, he'd have to actually do the physical side, though all the extra effort he could expend via the extra instances might make it easier to train more in one sitting. Just about anything else? He could amass skill fast enough to actually compare to the might he was gaining. Even with all the powers he'd gained, he could train them all simultaneously without even cracking half of the parallel processing he now possessed. The Graces Gisena was making were very potent, but he suspected he'd granted her a boost sufficient to make up her own. Given he'd be here for the next 2000 years, he also suspected she'd be doing so within a century or two. The chance of recursive Grace development, developing Graces that bolstered her research speed, in order to achieve godlike power was well within her remit with the boost he'd granted her.

Rewards: +++ all companions as while they might not truly know the scope of what you paid, they are aware that you paid a large sum to empower them all. Additional + to all companions besides Verschelgorge due to severely increased stamina both mentally and physically, immortality and eternal youth, with a second to Letrizia as you have handily solved her reduced lifespan even should something happen to you. Additional + to Letrizia and Adorie, as Numeracy Ten Thousand drastically improves their rulership qualities. Additional + to Aerie due to improved business acumen from additional intellect from Step Up Verse and Numeracy Ten Thousand. Additional + to Gisena and 2 to Aobaru, the former from additional insights procured from the Verses and Numeracies. The latter from the massive amount of power and the boost to his progress from Numeracy Ten Thousand and Seven's benefits to his Element. Additional + to Gisena from massive benefits to her research and artifice from Numeracy Ten Thousand.

All companions gain significant Condition Resistance from Elysian, Emperor Red, and Numeracy Ten Thousand. Hunger will require significant training or Pick/Arete investment for benefits beyond Exhaustion resistance. The same purchases and the mental benefits of the Step Up Verse also provide at least ++Progression to everyone but Verschelgorge, who still gains a + to Progression, provided the skill is mental, and half of that for physical skills.

Emperor Red will slowly improve all attributes over time. This process is automatic due to Numeracy Ten Thousand, though dedicated training can still accelerate it. Adorie's Bloodline effects will drastically limit any Mental Contamination that arises from any and all Color Magics, such that taking a third would merely result in a + Mental Contamination, rather than insanity. Hunger will shortly gain the ability to repair Verschelgorge in full, and it's own repair efforts have been vastly improved by access to Emperor Red.

Gold Magic significantly improves the luck of Hunger, Letrizia, and especially Adorie. Being the ruler of a kingdom is more than sufficient to form a legion of Gold, and Adorie rules no ordinary kingdom. Hunger's fortunes are improved somewhat less, as the Elixir Kingdom and his holdings in the Temple of the False Moon are significant, but the Evening Realm does not yet count as part of his holdings as theoretically stealing his Cloak would be enough to allow access. Further mastery of the Realm may change this, and the Apocryphal Curse will be slightly mitigated by his improved fortunes regardless. Letrizia, as heiress rather than ruler, appears to have taken a significant hit to her advancement in Gold despite ostensibly ruling multiple worlds, as she is currently heiress rather than ruler, a princess as opposed to a queen if you will, but her advancement is somewhat further than Hunger's, a case of quantity exceeding quality with the exception of Verschelgorge. Aobaru, Gisena, and Verschelgorge all gain comparatively minor benefits, though Gisena's research is helped somewhat by even a minor increase in her fortunes, which has led her to spend a few hours of research allowing her Color Magics to work despite her Nullity, as Numeracy Ten Thousand has made many such projects trivial.

Hunger and all companions gain at least 5 +'s to their Might and Agi due to Numeracy Ten, Emperor Red, and Elysian, and a similar bonus to their mental Stats due to massively improved planning ability from Numeracy Ten Thousand. Emperor Red provides a relatively swift means of further growth in all areas.

All Imaginary Element bearers have had their Element gain : Seven. Effects vary, but the fusion is universally beneficial. For example, Aobaru's True VigorFlame: Seven extends his control over his VigorFlame to this new branch of Elementalism, granting him the 5-person volume and millimeter control mentioned as mastery immediately. In addition, he may now switch between normal flames and VigorFlame at will, which is extremely beneficial when he can produce the latter at will, vastly increasing his combat options, as he can attack with his flames directly now, and the upper limits of his VigorFlame are treated as the upper limits of his access to normal flames. Generally, the remaining bearers gain less direct benefit from this, but Aobaru is quite pleased with his new powers.

Gisena estimates the insights from other magic systems, the mental benefits of Elysian and the Step Up Verse, and Numeracy Ten Thousand have accelerated her research speed 10000%. She estimates 30 Graces will be completed by the end of the last week in the Realm, including an Edelross Grace for Hunger, as well as the Imaginary Elements of the others, and a number of Graces inspired by what she's learned from her new magics. Graces now previously out of reach as the work of years have been reduced to weeks in difficulty, and impossibly difficult decades-long projects reduced to single digit months. Only work in realm of centuries is out of the scope of her reach due to Apocryphal's interference, and that's assuming none of her Graces accelerate the process, as Clarion Grace + Mental Apex would. It is likely that Maidenhood will be in the cards for Letrizia, Aerie, and Adorie by the end of the week, barring significant 'tech tree' unlocks drawing Gisena's attention. Further, the next time the Realm of Evening is entered, and a full uninterrupted three weeks are available to her, she will make progress of roughly to 5.769 years of her previous speed, assuming no research-boosting Graces are taken. Even the Apocryphal Curse would struggle to escalate at a sufficient rate to match that.

Verschelgorge's boosted physical and mental performance allow it to fight at a level akin to it's old strength, even without any further gains from Emperor Red. If fully repaired, it will be able to gain Rank above it's original 12 as Emperor Red improves every facet, though this will take quite some time due to the difficulty of gaining Rank at this level. The Verses channeled through even Rank 10 might are also quite potent, though Numeracy Seven isn't very powerful due to the soft-cap that must be broken through.

AN: So, basically, Hunger decided to burn 4 Accursed Favor to massively power up himself and his companions, as he felt what he'd gained from the Realm wasn't enough. Most of the powers are as much sidegrades as anything else, but the Jade powers are immense bonuses for everybody.

I feel Color Red and the Ring of Blood would work very, very well together. Letrizia and Adorie gain a lot from Numeracy Ten Thousand, in regards to ruling, while the latter gains a lot of combat power in general. Hunger, Aerie, and Aobaru all gain a lot of skill training from it too. Gisena, however, already being a Peerless Genius, has her research speed become impossibly fast. While Ten Thousand does hit diminishing returns as the number of mental instances goes up, the benefits to mental stamina and focus are enough to push it back up to the point of practically a 1% bonus per instance. That means she's researching 100 times faster, and Step Up's escalating bonus will only improve that. Obviously, Rihaku won't let us do this because we'd break the game. I mean, she goes from three weeks for her new Graces to 5.04 hours. She'd get 33 done in the last week, even without the speed boost from the combo Rihaku has in the update, assuming there are enough easy ones for that. Even if the difficulty goes up by an order of magnitude once you go from I to II, she'd need to hit III before they went back to their old timetables, again, ignoring any bonuses from research-boost Graces.

By my calculations, the Word count taken from Rihaku's Furthermost Reaches update is 2463, meaning that will need to be deducted from the word count.

Subtracting the words taken from Rihaku (6949-2463) this Omake is 4486 Words, discounting this line.

I have no idea what our actual current speed ISH Is but feel like I should math things to ensure this is considered properly. Word of Rihaku in the Discord General on July 21(Circa a Fire Woken, establishes our speed as 1.4 to 1.6)
So, an elaboration.

The quantity of our speed isn't super relevant to ISH, but the conceptual basis behind the power that grants us the speed does. So 1.4-1.6 is what we get from Scepter-boosted Accretion as a baseline, though TSH means this isn't set in stone.

+0.2 ISH in military situations, +0.1 ISH from Aobaru places our physicals at ISH 1.7-1.9 in combat.

Getting a +0.1 now from the Aobaru social would bring our physicals to ISH 1.8-2.0, which means our speed would be at ISH 2.8-3.0 with Refinement of Quickness active.

This is a really big deal, to put it lightly, since ISH 3 is where effects comparable to perfect effects in elevation begin to show up.

I'm aware of the conceptual side of things. Accretion is not about Physics though. It's about concepts IIRC. We had Rank 5.3 and several agility buffs from our panopoly/edeldross buffs(1.3 at the time before debuffs). 8 Echoes of the Forebear(8 Agi), Uttermost(2 Agi), Cut Through(7 Willpower added to AGI), Weapon Defeating Stance(5 AGI), Hero-Defeating Stance(2 AGI), Quickening(7 AGI), 3 Fierce Quickening(6 AGI), Hungry Vim(3 AGI), Amaranth Star(3 AGI), Triumphal Gleam(3 AGI), Fall of Night(1 AGI). That's 40 Agility before the willpower bonus, which is close enough to 41 that I'm not going to hunt for whatever it was I missed.

[ ] Accretion - A farmer's boy. A sword of fable. A perilous quest. Death or glory.

A form of symbiosis between wielder and object, integrating shared experiences, mythic archetypes, accumulated legendry and personal craftsmanship. The result is a being greater than the sum of its parts, not a man wielding a sword but Arthur with Excalibur, the blade closer to his being than his own sword-arm. That deep conceptual weight, wearing a groove in reality's current, permits the slow unfurling of impossible feats as a product of the partnership.

The power of Accretion is rarely replicable and never easily defined. Its greatest masters turn the tides of battle simply by taking the field, their presence an inexpressible radiance, sharp light beyond sense or reason, that erodes the existential basis of those who would oppose them. You will find them at the crux of fate, the critical point of inflection; there does that power reach its apex, starshine become a blazing sun, light and fire and fury as to bring the world to its knees.

*A power that is somewhat agnostic to the strength of one's foes. Battle Magic will never deflect a supernova; a master of this art might, though they'd have near equal difficulty deflecting a tank shell.
*Operates on a level beyond physical causality. With few exceptions, does not enhance physical parameters at all.
*With time and many shared tribulations, some of a union's powers may become relatively consistent and explicable. For example, the hero wears a suit of dark grey plate, and nothing may slay him short of annihilating the armor entire.
*Forbidden Art: Abduction. The forceful seizing of another's armament, inconsistent in applicable and terribly risky, as aspects of the prior wielder may impose themselves upon you. The hero stole into the Tyrant's Catacomb and emerged bearing the sword of the Tyrant's progenitor. That blade now lies broken, and with it its wielder.

My point is, I'd be very surprised if we had 1.4 to 1.6 ISH at the beginning of this Quest. Hunger's Agility has nothing to do with his muscles if that's what you're going for.

Pay 24 arete and picks for .1 to .2 ISH for Hunger? Everyone goes wild.

Pay 0 arete 0 picks for .1 ISH for literally everyone in the party and maybe anyone else as well? Meh.
i mean, it's not just 0A0P. It's skipping the gateway to the sharkey/Aeira lesser wish (???), or skipping the opportunity to double the Signs boost with Adorie plus ???

Aobaru's blurb doesn't even have a mystery box!

Edit: I will say that it's a good point to note that Aobaru's buff affects the entire party. It seems unlikely that Adorie's ??? would be party-wide. Aeira's shadow cloaks apply to everybody, so there's at least a chance for her ??? to be a group buff.

a few other ideas: King of Thieves, Iron Curtain, and Tenfold Echo

So I just had an attack of hindsight with regards to when I was pushing Companions of the King/Heroic Crimson Flare. I forgot about Aobaru True Vigorflame buffs on other people. Ignoring Companions of the King and the up to 50% all stats buff and just Accounting for Aobaru buffing everyone's physical stats by .1 on the ISH and 70%?

Strength: Closest Analogue is In Wake of Silence Hunger. He had 59.3 After Buffs/Debuffs at that point. She'd still be noticably stronger then Post Sten Fight Hunger though from a strength perspective.
Constitution: Closest Analogue is A Fire Woken Hunger. He had 70.95 after buffs/debuffs at that point. She'd be about as tanky as A Fire Woken(Post Rotbeast Fight) Hunger in Constitution.
Agility: Closest Analogue is A Fire Woken Hunger. He had 59.3 after buffs/debuffs at that point. Adorie would be slightly faster than A Fire Woken Hunger's Base speed.

For context, It takes an Agility of roughly 45.55 to be able to casually go Mach 40, attained by subtracting 5 from Hunger's Agi in In Wake of Silence to account for the Fierce Quickening+HDS+Echo of the Forbear we got at that point and then recalculating the Agi and Willpower buffs(30*1.25 + 7*1.15) to get his AGI in The Ultimate Price. Is it just me or is it a travesty that we're the only massively hypersonic combatant in the room?

We could have made EVERYONE massively hypersonic.

Word Count: 920 Words.

Verschlengorge: What am I, merely an Implement to you?

Wait a minute. Would it be fair to assume everyone has +3 to all stats from Hunger having Ennobled them? I realized I forgot to include that in the calculations if so.

Edit: And let's not forget Undying Vanguard.

Edit: Though I suppose the First Flare Buff replaces the +3 to all stats ennobling buff, it's still useful data for knowing our current party's abilities.
