A Shining Beacon in a World of Shade

Am I mildly disappointed my power is Controlled? Yes, am I mildly disappointed a lot of the hypothetical stories I wrote are unlikely to turn out to be true, of course. Am I mildly disappointed minions that should only be capable of building, can apparently give me bonuses on literally everything letting me do anything with a +15 bonus? Of course not. That does allow for constructions with any number of powers involved after all, and should make regular walls better, and allow me to make all kinds of other variants on said built constructions.

One word: "Training"

Uh, should have asked this before but how bad is tue situation. Let's have be a scale form 1 to Everything is one fire. How is the situation?

So, there's a reverse training where you become remarkably less proficient with your power? Because that's really what it would come down to.

Note every story, was showing incredible incompetence in the power, and it blowing up in her face one way or another.

I guess I misunderstood what you were saying.

I suppose you could take the route of writing stories about her having off days or prior to the game starting when mischief was more likely.

Or take the approach of 'the results are what happen when everything is said and done but turns out the road to get there was a lot more difficult than anyone realizes'.

Thanks, that is actually a really valuable insight.

I can't wait to get into some comicbook style shenanigans
The guy with the sun head!

When you've got a sun for a head, I think that everything is a 'Comicbook style shenanigan' by default.

You wouldn't even need to be a superhero. I could easily imagine getting entertainment value out just "It's a slice of life comic about a guy who has a sun for a head"

Frankly, it's the kind of thing where I wonder why one of the thousands of new anime/manga stories that come out every year hasn't already done the concept.

I'm almost 90% certain I've actually read a manga, with an incredibly similar concept, if not the same concept. However, that's going to be tough to actually find it seeing as how It's been a while since I've read it. Ah well, I do agree with what you're saying though.

Woo! I'm on the right track

Not as bad as you think, Africa's currently getting its act together, the Moon is going well.

America is busy but prosperous,

South America...I'll get back to you on that. But Tree lady is angry

You'd be surprised how much Slice of Life I'll squeeze out of your characters. At the end of the day their people.

Anthony feeds ducks some mornings, usually following especially trying or especially vindicating acts of Justice(though not necessarily heroism). he's not one to seek out company himself but he'll hardly vacate his bench or rush off if a stranger takes an interest.

That's great to hear.
Considering where my head space has been at this entire time?

The General conceit would be, I can't imagine Amber out of a slice of life type of situation. It's the minions that I can imagine causing trouble, and
I guess fixing trouble her errant power causes would count? But, if she's in a fight, she loses. She has nothing to do in a fight, she's better than her minions in that regard, but she has no powers related to combat, so she'd be entirely reliant on already built structures, which implies several things, one she knew people were pursuing her, and two, she'd still not be in the fight, it would be the structure itself that would be.

Probably This:

[As the segment closes, the mood shifts again. From the cold darkness of space to the vibrant, green wilderness of the Amazon rainforest. The screen fills with footage of towering trees, waterfalls, and exotic wildlife, but it's not the lush landscape that catches the viewer's attention—it's the figure that moves swiftly through the jungle.]

Voiceover:
"Meanwhile, in South America, the Amazon rainforest has a new protector. Who is the scarlet-eyed avenger battling to restore nature's balance?"

[Images flash of a masked figure, draped in earthy tones, with glowing red eyes cutting through the thick canopy. The protector is seen effortlessly leaping through the treetops, fighting back loggers and industrial forces encroaching on the rainforest. Environmentalists are hailing this mysterious hero as a potential savior for one of the world's most endangered ecosystems.]

Voiceover (continued):
"Local sources claim that the Scarlet-Eyed Avenger, as they've come to be known, has single-handedly driven out entire corporations responsible for illegal deforestation. But their identity remains shrouded in mystery. Is this a new breed of hero, or is there something more ancient at work in the heart of the Amazon?"

[The camera zooms in on the figure standing atop a high tree branch, surveying the dense forest below. The protector's eyes glimmer with an otherworldly light before disappearing into the thick foliage. The broadcast shifts once more, the world's focus constantly flipping between the farthest reaches of space and the deep wildernesses of Earth, as humanity grapples with the dawning of a new age—one fraught with both hope and conflict.]

Well someone that LIVES in the Amazon rainforest.

I will keep that in mind, he needs a better hobby?

Never discount Home Alone Style Traps and their abilities against Superheroes...

Hell they were effective against aliens in power armor.
As long as it's legal and ethical, Hanzo will do anything to raise money for traveling. Go ham with that.
I can already see he being that "One Anime Delivery Lady who shows up at random times", IN OTHER people's adventures...no matter how absurd.

it's more of a morning ritual than a hobby. it's not something he does on the regular. but when life has been difficult, or when victories are going to his head, he takes a morning to just feed some simple creatures and let the big picture in the back of his head just fade out of focus for a little while.

on another note "Hobbies? bloody hell. people actually have those, don't they?"

I don't disagree that she could build dangerous structures, she's just not very likely to be face to face to the person seeking to defeat her in said situations, she is knowleadgable about how to make a lot of it electrical, and there's a ton of ways to make things trigger even without electricity being involved, it would be more her, just not being present in a one to one battle, which would be the superhero battles, i'd more typically imagine.
