Norway is in chaos. Ivar the Boneless is dead, meaning any outside power that can take over Norway will now no longer be interested in it, because England is a more valuble target, both for raids and settlements.

The Danelaw has been Established, meaning that there is enough farmable land for norse colonists.

Now with no one after the Norwegian Clay... The Norwegians can decide their own destiny for the first time in a very long time.
