A Play of Blood and Shot (ASOIAF NG)

Actually is there a good list of vassal houses to join in as. It would help me as a more limited focus would let me ease into nation games (only played a few between various forums).

I just realized that Volantis has a pretty solid grasp on the southern Essos trade routes. Most trade for a good portion of the way is going to pass and enter Volanteen territory. Man we are so rich....

I suggest the Manderly's, the Mallister's, or the Marbrands. The main vassals of the Vale and the Reach would also be interesting.

So @Velasco ,

How much of the Westerlands traditional houses are we assuming have perished?

Or a better question.....which houses still remain?

The Farmans and the Presters were relocated when they lost the war in the first game. The Kennings went into exile. I don't see any reason for anyone else to have perished - you restored the Kennings to Kayce, Joanna Lannister is at Feastfires, and you can probably do better than inviting the Farmans back to rule Fair Isle.

I think what may be easiest is once the various Lord Paramounts have been claimed if there are any that would like a player vassel for them to let me know and I can take one of the houses under them.

Indeed I shall to think on who I would have invited to Fair Isle in that 5 year period. Can I assume a second son of most houses would jump at the chance as long as the house is not a Paramountcy?

You'll have to check with Ceslas and Texan on the mechanics of that, but you might also want to confer with King Orys - he may want a say in Fair Isle's destiny. After all, the Westerlands has no meaningful fleet and it'll largely be other people kicking the Ironborn out, and Byron is indebted enough to the Targaryens as it is.

Especially if he fulfils the idea I had fifteen minutes ago of creating a new Paramouncty along the west coast, including the Iron Isles with Fair Isle and the Arbor

I ask because the island was reclaimed 5 years before game start and.....would be strange for it to be empty that long.

You mean no fleet when it was captured I suppose?

Harrenhal has been empty longer in canon - it may well have been kept as a forward base for the Royalist Fleets without an actual hereditary Lord named to it. Lordless isn't the same as empty.

It's unlikely the Westerlands has managed to rebuild a nice fleet in winter, given how viciously bludgeoned and, to put it politely, ass raped you start off.

I will see what the extra information for the Westerlands is if I get it from Texan at game start.

I never planned on it building a large navy itself in that time.

You had that readied a long time before this I feel. :p

Also...could I have Bastion instead? I don't want to butt heads with Theravis.
