A Play of Blood and Shot (ASOIAF NG)

*Braavos strokes its treaties and guns and gold lovingly confident it doesn't need hacks*
*Faceless men awkwardly hide behind curtains*

I do like the idea of the ISOT game, I think it could be fun. We could have it occur as a Second Doom as it were.

I feel it would be fun we just need to do some modification and put in place some territory restrictions.

For example:
  • Dragon numbers are capped at the Targaryen Pre-Dance numbers
  • Territory ISOT can be no bigger then the original home territory of the nation. For example:
    • That game that had the Baratheons conquer the Crownlands would only be able to bring the Storm Lands, if they want to play the Storm Lands.
    • New Valyria could only bring its Volanteen territory.
    • The many Ghiscari Empires would only bring their home city.
Not sure what to do for Dothraki though.

You all keep the talk of making a new game to the other thread. This game is doing alright, just needs some replacement players in Westeros.

Turn events will be posted by Monday. So if you have not done a turn post, go ahead and do so.

OK....

What?

The God Mod already rolled by and unilaterally cancelled the game because he's busy and quite literally can't give a shit.
Are you specifically stepping in to take over as God Mod and breathe life back into this game?

I actually did not read the previous page, so I did not know that. I guess it makes sense why no one was posting in the game or rp threads.

Most of us seem invested in this game, especially those who have played since the first part. As I began this game, I would like to see it continue.

Who is "most of us"? @Ceslas is gone, @ByzantineCaesar is gone, @Sidheach seems gone, @kızıl sultan seems gone, and tbh isn't particularly active at the best of times, @EliudFS1 hasn't been doing anything much with the Starks besides very sporadic incremental magic and "everything is perfect and amazing in my colonies!" updates, I have little do with Dorne bar imprison and gaslight assorted Summer Islanders, @Mortis Nuntius is left picking up the pieces of a weakened Braavos, Pentos is...all that you've made it, and then we have @Atomicwalrus in a Qohor that can make Valyrian steel, defeaet the world and open gateways to hell, and @EmperorCasey rebuilding the Freehold from Volantis. How do we move forward? Do we even have enough people who want to move forward? Why recruit, what are we recruiting for? How/where are we going to be recruiting? Do we continue with the game as is, do we try to tidy up a little? Considering the cornerstone of this present scenario is unprecedented magic and technological development and a random peasant OC called Brea Waters magically escaping (as literally any prisoner when you are Mod) and somehow stealing cross-continent to the Far East and becoming an immortal Qarthene warlock, maegi, whatever dedicated to screwing over the Targaryens and Westeros how on earth do we restructure things in a way that makes sense and maintains and attracts player interest? Do you intend to keep things the same, or change things in some way?

What are you proposing and wanting to accomplish here?

I've been trying to circumvent the globe for the past month or so.

Almost made it, got to East Yi-Tii

Couple of more turns and I was sure I would have made it!

I'm sure this was somehow a good thing to share in your mind, but for crying out loud. You really can tell when the Mods have chucked it in and don't give a flying shit anymore.

Speak for yourself! Do you know how much it took for me to get that far! Ironanvil and I had tried to do this since last year!

And the obstacles, the storms the slow progress. The King of the straight that demanded tribute to pass. It wasn't a walk in the park.

Not only "Winter is coming", but you're actually coexisting and intermarrying with the forest gods, have all kinds of magical weir powers, prophetic insight into the future, and you're focusing the North's surplus resources on sending men, ships, food and weapons far far away on some bullshit stab at colonialism and exploration?

OK.

Lmao. Chill out mansa musa.

You call 4 ships surplus resources?
That was my exploration fleet.

Four ships is major investment, but it wasn't the only thing - what about the "cities" in your colonial empire, which you, after significant discussion, generously diminished to "towns" later on?

It's just silly. I don't understand why pick a faction and then throw out all its history and identity out the window.

And while we're at it, Indy Stark? Marie Stark? Seriously? Why not Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle Stark while you're at it? There are so many brilliant in-universe names, or medieval names to lift from and adapt, why name characters with modern names that so clearly don't fit?

I thought Marie was cool. Like a medieval Mary.

Also you are not Innocent yourself. You also have colonies, wierd magic, wyverns, and dragons.

I will continue the game if most of you still want to. I do not like arguing, so for those of you who just want to be negative, do not expect a reply.

- Stupid colony I don't give a shit about and inherited from previous player
- revived Rhoynar magic in a world where magic has bloomed and flourished to unprecedented levels, again inherited from previous players
- wyverns as small fire-less dragons aren't particularly exceptional, I feel, a more accurate criticism would be me bothering with longstrider dinos
- dragons are canon

=/= Mary-Kate and Manhattan of House Stark.

And oh my word I've just remembered the whole playing Children of the Forest as being mentally/developmentally actual children......help me Lord, whyyyyy....:cry:

No one likes arguing, but we do like solutions. Burying one's head in the sand and going "falalala!" doesn't fix anything, Texan. Why not try hearing people out and trying to find solutions for a change? You might actually like the result.

That last one is fucking weird.

I was going to mention this in the other thread, but I will mention it here. After all our differences, I think two things can be said.

The first is, for all your complains, you tend to join any ASOIAF based nation game.

The second is, we have different opinions on plenty of things on this genre. From the settings, to game rules, to how these games are run. There does not seem much of a point in arguing, as all it does is make things awkward for the other players and wastes posts in the ooc threads.
