You're not debuffing the warp are you? Those four Chaos gods are literal manifestations of emotions from sentient lifeforms throughout the galaxy and possibly beyond. They are conceptual entities, aren't those suppose to be pretty badass in comic settings?

Chaos gods are galactic in scale at the very greatest. Their are a boatload of figures in DC who are out and out Universal Scale threats. If the chaos gods make a major push they could likely win against a great deal of the main line heroes of earth, but there are more people out their who could easily deal with them.

Do note, Lucifer is on Earth, as is the Sandman, the literal embodiment of all Dreams, and various other horrors besides that.

edit: Then there is the Green Lantern corp. While they seem not up to scale, do not that they are a police force that literally patrols the entire universe, and draws power from the emotion of Willpower. And the various representations of emotions in the DC universe have been contained before.

Elsewhere: The Epic Invasion of the Kathraxian empire!
The Epic Invasion of the Kathraxian empire!

or

Some Aliens in an Alternate Universe Watch TV!

Deep within the bowls of space the dreaded Kathraxian Annihilation Vanguard (K.A.V for short) lay waiting for orders from forward commander Haydrax, then they would begin the invasion of the pitiful little green/blue rock called H9F-94D/X-03.

Unfortunately for them, they were going to be waiting for a long time.

*K.A.V, forward commanders office*

Haydrax the Somewhat Frightening (he was still waiting on that promotion to 'The Dreaded), sat ominously in his command chair as he waited for his second in-command to ask what he was doing.

Any second now...

Any second now...

…What was taking him so-

"Sir, what are you doing?" At last!

"I am observing the data recovered from our preliminary scans of the little dirt rock we plan to invade." Haydrax the Somewhat Frightening proclaimed. "While doing so my most excellent intellect allowed me to notice a disturbing trend!" He gestured to the computer screen.

"The inhabitancy of this planet have faced invasion from intragalactic empires like ourselves before, and they were so successful that they have created 'Alien invasion movies' to be distributed among the population as propaganda. With how many of these 'Alien movies' the computer has detected this planet must have fought off invasions like ours a dozen times before!" Haydrax waved three arms around dramatically to emphasise his point.

"That is very bad sir." The second in command said. "Perhaps we should return the K.A.V to the rest of the fleet and inform them of this discovery?"

"NEVER!" Haydax yelled, his foot slamming against the metallic floor of the ship as he did so. "I will make the people of this planet rue the day I, Haydrax the Somewhat Frightening laid eye's on it! No, instead of your pitifully idiotic plan we shall plan our invasion by watching these 'Alien movies'. Once we know how our enemy fight our victory shall be inevitable!" Not waiting for his second in command to respond, Haydrax turned to the command panel and questioned in his most dramatic booming voice.

"Computer! How many 'movies' do you still have to scan and upload from H9F-94D/X-03?" He had to wait a few seconds before the machine replied, seconds which he spent letting his black and red cape flap dramatically behind him.

"Time till task completion is: ERROR 114 (Task time constantly increasing.)" The computer outputted audibly.

"WHAT!? Computer why?" Haydrax screamed at the machine while pointing at it with his third arm while the other two shook with rage.

"The amount of [TARGET DESIGNATION 'movies'] on H9F-94D/X-03 is a constantly increasing variable, completion time cannot be estimated."

"How can that be..." Haydrax began pacing around the room while muttering to himself, until an idea struck him. "Computer, are you recording the data from every single 'movie' in a physical storage device on H9F-94D/X-03, even if you already have the data from the same 'movie' from a different storage device?"

"Correct commander." The computer responded immediately.

"THEN STOP DOING THAT AT ONCE! With how many 'movies' this planet has that task would take forever!"

"ERROR 371 (Cannot halt process until task completion)." The computers proclamation was met with complete silence for only a few seconds, until...

"SON OF A GOBSRAK!"

Thus the invasion of earth by the K.A.V was massively delayed by the power of alien invasion movies.

Alan Scott is the first human green lantern and has faulty power battery that Scarecrow can use his device to detect.

I really like it, made me crack a smile.
+5 for an Elsewhere Omake. Great work @Burn-The-Candle

Thanks for making it Elsewhere-canon. I hope it was as fun for you to read as it was for me to write.

Originally I intended to write a much more serious omake about Mr Freeze, but then this idea hit me and I just couldn't resist.

Alright vote closed! I'll either start writing later today or tomorrow.

Okay, I'm going to tell you all the roll now so you can discuss it if you want. You rolled a 41, as I said before below 50 are the harder ones generally.
You got Zod.

Ouch. Well, at least we have a kryptonian to fight him?

Any magic users or psychics joining the fight against him?

And did he bring any tech?

Okay, I'm going to tell you all the roll now so you can discuss it if you want. You rolled a 41, as I said before below 50 are the harder ones generally.
You got Zod.

KNEEL BEFORE YOUR NEW GOD ZOD!

...Eh, could have been better, could have been worse. If we're lucky then Zod will do something incredibly loud and threatening that doesn't really harm us but gets some of the larger players to take him down. If we're unlucky he'll do the aforementioned loud and threatening thing right in he middle of Gotham, which would bad because Gotham is where we keep our family (and our stuff!).

Zod will most likely head for Meteopolis, he has one goal after all and conquering the Earth is just an added bonus for him.

His robots on the other hand, they'll head anywhere to conquer it.

Can we capture some of his robots, upgrade them and use them against Zod?
Or even better, can we make super hacking machine that will hack and take control of all of Zod's robots?
I know it sounds really ambitious, but is it really that hard?
I mean, the very first thing we did was giving ourselves superpowers and manufacturing potion that can turn anyone into super-human, all while trying to make a single bulletproof vest.

There are much worse things then the warp out there.

Also the warp is pretty weak in most comic settings. Zoom could kill the Chaos Gods, it wasn't the Emperor it was him. It was him all along.

But seriously if the Warp trys to worm its way in there are way too many things/people to consume it for a power up.
It's scary to think what both Zooms could do to the universe if they weren't focused mostly on testing/torturing the Flashes.

[O] Alien Invasion Table

Alien Invasion Roll!
1D100= 41!
Zod has come!

Date: April 25th 1999

POV: GENERAL ZOD!

Earth was finally within your reach, the planet didn't really matter in the long run. Perhaps you would use it as a new capital for the New Kryptonian Empire, or perhaps you'll just destroy it and use one of the empty planets in the system. No matter what you'll have to deal with the Martians.

Leaning on your consol you look over at your robotic servitors going about their given tasks. "Unit 1A, come forth and give me a report."

The machine strut forward like an Earth bird, the years of neglect have caused some damage to it's motor functions. "Unit 1A reporting… Commencing Report. The Majority of the planet called Earth will be easily conquered, the only point of resistance being located on the continent known as North America. This is because the up tick of those known as 'superheroes' and 'supervillains'. Kal-El is believed to be the hero known as Superman, and is located in Metropolis."

As the robot finished it's report you couldn't keep yourself from smiling. "Good, Kal-El will have the phantom zone projector and with it I can finally see my family again. The other Kryptons trapped inside will serve us, and make up the new Kryptonian race." You looked down onto the map of Earth.

Headed for Metropolis!

"Very well, Metropolis it is then. I can't afford to let a Kryptonian who doesn't serve me know of the secrets of Yellow Stars live, and since he knows where the projector is all my primary objectives will be accomplished in one fell swoop." You stroke your beard as you stare down at the map before turning back to the robot. "Take shuttle craft and invade all other cities with these 'superheroes' and 'supervillains' with a small number of robots. If they fend well enough capture them so they can serve me."

Does he invade anywhere else?

Even more where?

Ebirah the giant lobster!

"Is there anything else Master Zod?" It's voice is starting to irritate you, its voice box must also be failing it. Oh well, once you have conquered the humans you'll have them look it over.

"Yes." You reach down and tap a small island chain that's barely visible on your map. "The Xiliens I took this map from have this area marked as high interest. Investigate it, take some of the machines not used to invade North America, but not all of them. Now… Leave me."

POV: Adrian Cobblepot

The fires have gone out be now, or at least they should have with Dr. Fries' aid. You should probably check on him now that you think about it, so you flip the switch on the radio you have in the lab as your staff crowd around you. "Doctor Fries, do you read me?"

For several seconds there is static until the line quiets down. "This is Fries, I read you…" His voice was cold, far colder than it usually was.

"Doctor what's wrong? Did you find your wife? Is the gas getting through the filters?" You were frowning as you spoke, something was obviously wrong.

"Nora, she's injured. Heavily. I've managed to save her, and put out numerous fire along the way but… She's in Cryogenic Stasis now. I may be able to save her, I'm coming back to the lab right away have the-" Fries was cut off as static overtook the radio, and a new voice cut through it all.

"People of Earth, my name is Zod, General Zod, and I am your new ruler. Kneel and you shall be spared, kneel and I shall usher in a new dawn of prosperity for your primitive planet! Rise up against me, and be weighed down in chains that shall crush you so utterly that you'll have no use as a slave, and will only be kept alive in a mockery of life as punishment." As he spoke you unsealed one of the windows and looked outside, you hoped there wasn't going to be a spaceship out there, and it was all a prank of some sort.

"Know that North America will the first to be conquered and be made an example of. Kneel when my robotic servants arrive in your cities and you will be spared, resist and you will no longer have the mercy of Zod!" The radio crackled once again, and you could hear Fries' voice.

"Did you hear that?"

"I think everyone did, and if we both aren't losing it then aliens are invading with robot armies. Get back here with Nora as fast as possible."

The battle outside was loud, you probably could hear the sound of lasers, bullets, cars crashing, robots breaking things and being broken, and spacecraft crashing from at least a mile outside of the city. You don't think you're exaggerating at least. "Alright people, once Doctor Fries and his wife are inside we're going back into lockdown!" Some of your staff seemed a bit upset about that for some reason.

"But my wife! I mean I know I should have been worried about her earlier, but we live in a good part of the city where there wasn't any fires or gas. Alien robots won't care about that though!" Okay, you could understand that.

"I want to study alien technology!" You couldn't really understand that reason in the middle of the invasion. Before you could reprimand her, the door was killed open and Fries walked in carrying his wife, Nora, who was now tinted a shade of light blue.

"Help." His voice was cold as usual, but there was a warm edge of emotion to it. Probably hope.

"Alright everyone! We can talk about braving an alien robot invasion later, right now we need to save a life!"

After the operation you and the rest of your staff waited under lock down, two of your scientists built a jury rigged TV to pass the time. So you all watched, and waited to go home or for Nora to wake up.

The battle of Metropolis partially broadcast and highlighted how little you all knew about weird costumed people running around. Apparently there are a lot heroes running around, more than anyone knew at all. Like the Flash, a man who can run so fast all he leaves in a red blur, or Green Lantern, who is apparently a space cop of some kind because he read Zod some weird rights before hitting him with a giant green boxing glove. There are of course Superman, Batman, and Wonder Women who everyone knows about.

There is also a report of bird people flying across the country fighting robots with maces.

What surprises the most however is that one of the Kryptonian ships, because that's what Zod said and Superman confirmed, was being chased by a giant lobster!

With all the excitement from the jury rigged TV, the explosions outside, and Mrs. Fries operation you've tired yourself out and can't help but to drift to sleep in your lab surrounded by your employees.

When you wake up a lot of Gotham, and parts cities are destroyed. What do?

[] Buy some of the destroyed areas. Costs $750,000

[] Donate money to help rebuild the city. Costs $500,000

This fought me hard. Thinking about either getting rid of combat mechanics and making it purely narrative, or taking this as a lesson killing this quest/putting it on hiatus for a bit while I rework things.
Of course this could just be my high blood sugar talking. Next up is an interlude that's the Metropolis fight, or maybe not IDK I'll sleep on it.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with how the combat rolls went in this instance? Seemed pretty thematically appropriate: Supers win while the average joe gets shit on, and the 'good guys' win in the end because friendship is magic.

On a side note, we have enough money to fund both options-- would that be applicable or no?

or she could make a lair under a Malt shop to change into their costumes

don't really care about Nora we already have Fries loyalty we did help give him the tech to find his wife and the we help save her and buying destroyed areas will help expand our territory and business

I think this is pretty fun as far as the story goes.

As for the mechanics, really up to you. You are making the quest and you decide how things work. I will look forward to the next part regardless.
