[X] Hello Professor – Stay for another few minutes and try to talk to Professor Flitwick. You have not had the chance to talk to your Head of House since both of you had been thrown against his office walls like ragdolls.
@Tabula Rasa is it possible to be so good with magic that mechanics of the fights change? Like, overwhelm the opponent with offensive spells, getting several consecutive attack rounds, or research contigency shielding charms, that allow rerolling one's defense rolls for example?

I have to admit that the rivalry actually has me pumped. Before the rival comment I was more than satisfied to just go through the list and learn our mandatory year end spells. But now? Now I want to learn less mandatory things like Protego.
[X] Wands up – It seems as if for the first time in your life there is someone that sees you as their rival in something other than academic prowess. Tracey Davis is working hard to keep up with your dueling progress, you can tell. Go and talk to her.

Yes, but not in the way you are thinking. There are trinkets and other things and spells that can allow you to tweak the system. One example would be the points introduced as Time Echoes.
But you will have to choose a path that fits and discover those ways yourself if you ever get there.

Tabula_Rasa: Ok, then lets start with the easy roles
Tabula_Rasa: Please roll a 1d100+10 #Reparo Training, DC 20 (Charms + INT + CRT)
Brom rolls 100+10 = 110
Tabula_Rasa: I dont want to let it count, because the name and text is missing
Tabula_Rasa: hmm
Tabula_Rasa: it counts
Tabula_Rasa: nat 100
Varder: Brom the Archmage
Tabula_Rasa: haha
DarkKing98 rolls 1d100+10 = 45 #Avifors Training DC 50 (Charms + INT + CRT)
Tabula_Rasa: Well, new DC is 5 then
Tabula_Rasa: Now to the Secret passages. You are spending most of your free time to locate them
Tabula_Rasa: There are 7 known passages out of Hogwarts in canon, you already know Lupin's exit. DC 100 to get the rest of the 6 and DC 120 to get an additional one, which neither the Marauders, nor the Weasley twins ever found.
Tabula_Rasa: Ok, then. As a Nazgul you know your ways out of dark corners
NumenoreanNazgul rolls 3d100+6 = 193 #Searching passages out of Hogwarts (INT + CRT) DC 40, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 120
Tabula_Rasa: Congratulations, you are now the single most knowledgable student in matters of the castle structure
Tabula_Rasa: One of the tunnels collapsed early in the 1993 schoolyear, we'll see if you can advert that.
Varder rolls 1d100+2 = 82 #Collapsing tunnel (+ LCK) DC 70
Tabula_Rasa: fuck off
Tabula_Rasa: Due to the new exits you can visit Hogsmeade outside of their specific weekends, which allows you to raise the fees. You now get 15% of their spending fees.
Tabula_Rasa: Please roll a 3d5 #How many are interested?
Brom rolls 3d5 = 8 #How many are interested?
Tabula_Rasa: ok, lets see if they have any money
DarkKing98 rolls 1d20+2 = 6 #How much do they spend on average?
Tabula_Rasa: you get 7.2 Galleons out of this
Tabula_Rasa: Please roll a 1d12 #What changes?
NumenoreanNazgul rolls 1d12 = 8 #What changes?
Tabula_Rasa: Ok, noted. You'll get to know what it is with the update
Tabula_Rasa: Ok, then lets start with the easy roles Brom rolls 100+10 = 110 #Reparo Training DC 20 (Charms + INT + CRT)
Tabula_Rasa: Well, I didn't expect a nat 100 so early in the game
Tabula_Rasa: But well, magic has its ways DarkKing98 rolls 1d100+10 = 45 #Avifors Training DC 50 (Charms + INT + CRT)
Tabula_Rasa: Well, new DC is 5 then
Varder: does overflow go into smth?
Tabula_Rasa: you don't have much luck with the first spell training roll. Reparo was the second try as well
Tabula_Rasa: Overflow is not accounted for normally. But the nat 100 will have an effect
Tabula_Rasa: You'll see
Tabula_Rasa: Ok those were the boring rolls
Tabula_Rasa: Now it gets more interesting
Tabula_Rasa: Now to the Secret passages. You are spending most of your free time to locate them
Tabula_Rasa: There are 7 known passages out of Hogwarts in canon, you already know Lupin's exit. DC 100 to get the rest of the 6 and DC 120 to get an additional one, which neither the

Varder: watch as we find horcruxes
Tabula_Rasa: Congratulations, you are now the single most knowledgable student in matters of the castle structure
Tabula_Rasa: minus Harry maybe
Tabula_Rasa: He still has access to the chamber
Brom: I forget, do we already know about the RoR?
Tabula_Rasa: no knowledge about the RoR
Tabula_Rasa: You have now access to 8 exits out of hogwarts
Tabula_Rasa: of those the Twins and the marauders know 7
Tabula_Rasa: One of the tunnels collapsed early in the 1993 schoolyear, we'll see if you can advert that. Varder rolls 1d100+2 = 82 #Collapsing tunnel (+ LCK) DC 70
Tabula_Rasa: fuck off
Tabula_Rasa: haha
Tabula_Rasa: congratulations, I didn't want to change canon with that one
Varder: do we know about secret passages within the castle?
Tabula_Rasa: Yeah, you have a pretty good knowledge about those by now
Varder: Like, kitchen, general ways hidden by portraits
Tabula_Rasa: Due to the new exits you can visit Hogsmeade outside of their specific weekends, which allows you to raise the fees. You now get 15% of their spending fees. Brom rolls 3d5 = 8 #How many are interested?
Tabula_Rasa: around half
Tabula_Rasa: ok, lets see if they have any money DarkKing98 rolls 1d20+2 = 6 #How much do they spend on average?
Tabula_Rasa: you get 7.2 Galleons out of this
Tabula_Rasa: Ok those were the normal rolls, thanks to your luck I am in the trouble to have to give you something for the nat 100
Tabula_Rasa: Please roll a 1d12 #What changes? NumenoreanNazgul rolls 1d12 = 8 #What changes?
Tabula_Rasa: Ok, noted. You'll get to know what it is with the update
Tabula_Rasa: Thank you for joining me and testing the waters. Its a good practice for when we roll for the really interesting things
DarkKing98: Like avoiding a collapsing passage way?
Varder: so we keep the trend of being an adventurer who gains little cash
Tabula_Rasa: And saving the castle
Tabula_Rasa: bit by bit

[x] Detached from this world – Both Tracey Davis and Cedric Diggory are only part of your world inside the club room. There it is the circumstances that make them interesting. Outside of it, they don't matter to you and Professor Flitwick knows to respect your silence. Go, take a shower and and head out to explore the castle again.
