I don't think that's the only reason. I haven't reread the quest, so my memory is a little fuzzy, but I think Lupin is also showing major favoritism to Harry to the detriment of everyone not in Harry's class. Like, of course there's the fact that he did his best to teach Harry the patronus but said no to us. But more than that a specific example brought up was the Boggart; Harry's class was the only one that got one. Not any other years, not even the Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw class of the same year. Only the Gryffindor/Slytherin 3rd year class got the Boggart hands-on lesson, because that's the one with Harry Potter in it.

My impression is that he's a great teacher for Harry and anyone close enough to be taught at the same time as Harry, but outside of that he's mediocre. Better than Lockhart, but he doesn't actually put any effort into any of his other classes because he only cares about one of his students in the entire school.

I really hope I'm not remembering a different story, because if someone corrects me I'm going to be very embarrassed now.

Sorry, but I think you're thinking of some other story. The Boggart was never mentioned in the class and I don't think Jacob has any indication that Lupin has some sort of connection to Harry nor has he been accused of favoritism.

Harry in question has only ever been in the background at most and rarely mentioned. Though Jacob once thought of him as 'talented but with no drive'.

- Can't get higher than 12 if not at least 5 skills are at least 12

In the short term I would want to really level up Herbology. We are going to explore the forest (I don't know if we can fit it before the lake) and that's "free potion ingredients land". But we do need to recognize the valuable ones.

So Jacob doesn't still hate himself that is good then.

The second one is much too terrifying imo.

This portrays what I would like our PC to feel quite well.
It was a heinous thing, but there is no us without it.
So we can be grateful for that in this way.
That obviously does not make it less heinous and will probably give us a perspective that the Flamels would not have had when they made their decisions.

I agree with @Varder above me, the second one is too clinical for me.
