Mad Scientist Eh?

...needs more stitches and bolts.

Mad Scientist Eh?

Now why would I put bolts on a wonderful specimen such as myself? Leaving stitches around when you don't even need them, isn't that wasteful!?

Everyone knows that the burdensome tidbits go on Frankenstein's monster and not Frankenstein. Can't blame you for loving the classics though. Although you'll find that biomechanical monstrosities are more popular these days.

I was thinking more along the lines of Stein from Soul Eater, he had a great look!

And that five wheeled rolly chair just completed it.

...

Ma'am, I'm going to need your department to create a rocket powered wheely throne.

For Propaganda purposes of course.

How attached are you to the standard wheeled office chair look?

Players and final choices
Here are the players:

-Cell Commander: Zedalb
-Chief Researcher: Lilithium
-Procurement Officer: DaLintyGuy
-Propaganda Master: Sablonus
-Operations Officer: Hannz
-Spymaster: Generic_Generica

Tallying location votes now...

Chosen Location: Eastern Europe

Okay people, just some final housekeeping before I start the IC Thread.

Resources, Infrastructure and Unit Lists:

The GLA only has the following resources to look after.
-Money
-Supplies (SP)
-Industrial Output Units (IOU)
-Research Points (RP)

Units on the Unit List for the Master Data Sheet will have the following.

Unit Name - $Cost In Money [Cost In SP/Cost In IOU]

You don't have to match all three. You can be out of cash, but have plenty of industry and supplies, so if you can meet the costs, you can spend SP and IOU to produce a unit. Remember, the cost in money will always be twice (2x) the cost of IOU.

Infrastructure projects such as defenses and buildings will always have a money cost.

I hope you are able to understand this easily.

FINAL CHOICES:
@Zedalb @Lilithium @Generic_Generica @Hannz @DaLintyGuy @Sablonus

I need you to pick TWO (2) choices from the following list.

[]The Snakes Of Africa: This world has a greatly-reduced by still powerful Domination Of Draka controlling half of Africa.
Additional Goal: Defeat the Draka.
Pros: Ready-made enemy to take on.
Cons: Draka are overpowered, and in true Drakaverse fashion, other factions will focus on you first.

[]SEAL Team 13: Do you hate Xander-wank fics? Guess what, you're in one!
Additional Goal: Become too strong for the United States to defeat militarily, and launch a strike on American soil.
Pros: You might be able to tap magic. Synergizes well with the Shadowrun option below. You might get your hands on a GMPC :p
Cons: You're in a mashup of the Buffyverse, Tom Clancy-verse, The Paladin Of Shadows books by John Ringo, and a couple of obscure TV shows/movies. You might have to deal with actual demons. Oh, and Xander Harris is leading a super-powered SEAL Team. Yay. -_-;

[]Awakening Of Magic: Oh look, a dragon just buzzed a bullet train, guess it's Shadowrun time.
Additional Goal: Unite the Middle East and Europe to prevent the Euro Wars and Desert Wars.
Pros: Magic! Synergizes with and enhances the SEAL Team 13 option. VITAS is available to research and enhance your chemical/biological weapons.
Cons: UGE, Goblinization, VITAS plagues, Dragons, the rise of the corporate and government police state.

[]Chevrons Locked: The US Air Force and soon a few others are going to be exploring a few new planets.
Additional Goal: Capture a Star Gate for the GLA's usage.
Pros: The aliens aren't that overpowered.
Cons: There are still overpowered aliens. SG1 Plot Armour.

[]Techno-Thriller Central: Isn't some of the tech you're looking at supposed to only be prototypes and demonstrators?
Additional Goal: Defeat the Cartel.
Pros: It's all tech that you recognize and with a few exceptions isn't too special.
Cons: You're chained to a group of warmonger generals, business moguls and drug lords as their pawns. Fix that.

[]I can't decide! Pick for me GM!
Additional Goal: Whatever the GM picks
Pros: The GM only uses the list above.
Cons: The GM may change small details to screw with you. :p

Once you've all made your two choices, I'll write up the IC Thread.

[X]Awakening Of Magic: Oh look, a dragon just buzzed a bullet train, guess it's Shadowrun time.

Additional Goal: Capture a Star Gate for the GLA's usage.
Pros: The aliens aren't that overpowered.
Cons: There are still overpowered aliens. SG1 Plot Armour.

I like it, I like it a lot!

I can't believe I actually get to be the Operations Officer.

Hoo boy.

[X]I can't decide! Pick for me GM!
[X]Techno-Thriller Central

I don't want no tricksy magick mucking up my beautiful, beautiful bootlegged and cobbled together Ork GLA tech!

I'll admit, I'm a bit sad that no one has made a Mulan reference yet. Oh well. My stealth ref still counts!

"Revolutions are always going to start out at a disadvantage against the current regimes , even if their advantage is only their number of tanks.
It is only fair if they share some - or?"

Physical Description:

Standing 5'8 feet height, Flandry might seem less of a threat than the more popular image of the crazed lunatics that make up the GLA ranks in the enemy propaganda - alas that impression will most likely get rectified if you watch her in the training room, trained muscles hidden under her lithe build and secure grace. Even her ruffled purple hair seems to be as daring as her personality, eager green eyes looking at problems just as another thing to measure herself again. After all - this was one of the most unique chances once could have and her determination was mirrored in those sharp features of her face.

Goal after surviving:
Actually a good question - its not like money in the mass we might end up with appears just from one day to another. At least finishing and financing my studies has become far easier and maybe I can even get the institute out of its reliance on that one businessman that finances so much for it...otherwise I guess I will use it for my family and send some abroad to the more distant relatives too, before investing the rest and living modestly from it for the rest of my life - aside from a few luxury things here and there?

Preferred Role:
Cell Commander or Propaganda Master - but as I'm ending up on the waiting list, I'm flexible when it comes to a possible role~

Huh, I'll put myself on the waiting list. I knew I should of checked earlier today...

I shall put my sheet up later, for now everyone good luck and remember that Doctor Thrax Approves:

[x]Chevrons Locked: The US Air Force and soon a few others are going to be exploring a few new planets.

I want my Evil Magitech Government, dammit!

Wait List!

User Name: Zeitgeist Blue

Alias: Josephine Black

In-Character Quote: "Tell you what, hand me that napkin, a bullet, and a piece of string. Then we'll be having a real party."

Goal after surviving: Look, I'm gonna shoot straight with you, retirement? Not my thing. I've seen old geezers with their tweed pants get up at 5' in the morning to play golf day in day out, or watch the latest sitcom in their old people's home. Maybe when I'm sixty, yeah, but I've got some decades left and I hear Thailand's amazing this time of year. Travel the world, nothing to hold you down. Now that's a real treat.

Preferred Role: Procurement Officer or Spymaster. But as Simpli said, being in the waiting list, I'm flexible.

Edit: And I know I'm not voting, but no love for the fantastic combination of high-tech and magic? Would've wanted to see how Awakening the Magic and Chevrons Locked interact with each other.

On the off chance super tech is picked, how viable would a combat suit for the Propaganda Master be? For the very rare off chance i'm shot at?

I found some armored Zero Suits.
