Yes, but Marian was showing extremely un-british behavior by showing public affection. This is just the natural correction of that behavior.I am of the opinion that shipping is stupid and you should engage in it as little as possible, but when somebody offers you a hug, especially one that sweet and caring, you accept that thing with open arms.
So there's a Druidic nature goddess time sharing in Marian's soul...Also so Marian is uh...a lot more like Rostam than we first thought, huh? Ain't that interesting?

Frankly I'm surprised it's taken us this long to summon her off of affinity.
- Young and British
- Both nearly killed by a 'superior' in the social hierarchy
- Threat of being completely eroded away
- Tutored by a mentor figure who they share strong romantic implications with
- Arm branding (which has happened to Rostam three times over the course of his life now)
- Joined an underground resistance movement
Well, Hans is a sad alcoholic stuck as a little kid which is a nightmareSo there's a Druidic nature goddess time sharing in Marian's soul...
Meh. Our Saber has to deal with possibly devolving into a giant god dragon, our Lancer had Count Dracula, No Brakes On The Impaler Train, and Literally Satan trying to overwrite him, our Assassin almost got taken over by his demonic dark side...really, Karna and Hans are the weird ones out.
(Or...are they? DUN DUN DUN)
Careful, someone might freak out when they see that fourth bullet point.![]()
Hans Christian Andersen has a dark secret. Inside him lies a terrible monster, one that he has to grapple with every day lest it finally takes control and goes berserk inside Chaldea. He hasn't told anyone of this, but he fears it is only a matter of time before this beast from his long abandoned past reappears.

A monster that wishes to write happy stories about soldiers slaying witches for riches and princesses getting their prince after a night of ordeals...
Yes, that was indeed the point

In canon Karna merged with Surya to become a god upon death, which is why his Divinity is A Rank. It's possibly the case here too.Hans does have Innocent Monster in Fate canon, and he still has at least one unknown skill on his sheet.
Karna... I have nothing for. I guess his demigod nature might count? He can kind of transform himself by throwing away his armour to get Vasavi Shakti? I think, though I have no source for this because I'm going off of some half half remembered stuff and a Wikipedia article that I just googled, that Karna is considered an avatar of Surya?
Karna Alter is really just Jinako, calling it.I imagine it is some kind of basedwelling nerd for some reason.
I think that aside from his fashion sense, Rostam would have a couple other hang ups about wearing diseased skin of his best friend as a coat. You know, I just had a thought.
If we assume that the second-worst scenario happens and we have to remove Karna's armour to save him... Do you think we could possibly harvest it for a Mystic Code?
We are specialised in protection, after all, and you cannot get a better defense than this.
Maybe we could figure out a way to skin Herakles as well...
But Magus, though.I think that aside from his fashion sense, Rostam would have a couple other hang ups about wearing diseased skin of his best friend as a coat.
Just a thought.
