The perspective is that dodge is the correct answer and everybody knows it, difference lies in those that think that both offense and defense include it versus those who think that only defense include it.

That was back in canon. And Kukaku is helping getting past that lack of aggression. And the Academy too.

Currently he's pissed at Ichigo's lack of self preservation instincts.

From what was explained in the manga, how it worked is that it took energy him before shooting it from his blade and considering how his sword was more akin to how Quincy created their weapons and not a proper blade...I think he wouldn't have it now that Old Man is gone?

So I'm a bit confused as to why Zangetsu (the fake one) is gone. I've seen a lot of people say that only the living can be Quincy or that konso removes a Quincy's powers. I'm not sure about the first one, but the second definitely can't be true. We see Quincy in Soul Society in the last arc, after all, and most of them were far too old to possibly be living humans. This seems to me like Quincy who had died, whether in combat or to follow Yhwach.

I'll concede that most Quincy lost their powers when they died, but I don't remember it being because of konso. I might be wrong, but I figured it was because Yhwach took their power back to redistribute. After all, he didn't have his empire there, so a Quincy in Soul Society wouldn't do him much good until he was ready to invade.

And, correct me if I'm wrong, but Ichigo has the same plot armor as Ishida when it comes to Yhwach stealing their powers. Neither of them are 100% Quincy, and Yhwach tried to reclaim the power of all the mixed-blood Quincy.

I mean, I'm probably forgetting something here, I'm just not sure what.

Great story, by the way! I'm really enjoying it so far.
 
My headcanon is that the Quincy following Yhwach directly are all aliens. I mean, Yhwach himself has more similarities with Chtulhu than anything human, which makes the actual human Quincy families being cults worshipping this alien. That's why the Quincy just outright different from any spirit species shown in the show.

There's also the fact that something about the Quincy powers lingers on the soul, even if its just the equivalent of a scar, since Mayuri dissected multiple Quincy (including Uryu's grandfather) to determine how their abilities worked.

Getsuga Tenshou is a hereditary thing, we got it from our dad.

I always loved the white ones deranged fighting style. Running at the enemy, evading in a nick of time, slashing and rotating the blade by the cloth strip like a windmill.

Edit: And I almost forgot the most important part. Laughing like a maniac!
