I am disheartened by the number of people who aren't listening to our sword. We aren't going to win by giving up on defense, we win by defending. If Zangetsu were fighting all out, he'd flatten us. Defense is the answer. Maybe our sword will teach us about intent like Urahara does in canon.
If there's one person whose training with Ichigo I really liked, it was Kisuke Urahara. He just didn't give a flying fuck, and he was competent enough to consistently get away with said lack of fucks, to the point where he is a known contact for Shinigami in Karakura despite being an exile.

Wait guys. I've played FF6 so I'm kind of an expert here. If you can suplex a train you can suplex a truck easily. We just gotta get to that level.
Seriously though his test makes no sense. Sometimes the winning move is not to play. And if we try to toss him away for hand to hand and essentially decide we don't need the him maybe it will instead flip things and make him prove his worth to us?
