Please tell me those aren't harem quests or something.
Also, I hate mind control. It's both something I deeply fear and, like, crude in comparison to orchestrating events such that people do what you want of their own accord.
I was joking, don't read that shit, your brain will melt.
Its trash, (And yes technically many of them ARE harems... because mind control... in some cases weird ass reality warping BS, I regret reading any of it)
Edit: It literal word porn, and the MC is almost always a sociopathic sex fiend... why this is popular is beyond me.

the word you're looking for is literotica
cus some people like dominance fantasies and/or have morals that melt as their blood warms
I am pretty neutral about morality in fiction, *real life is where I start having problems*
*segue* This also applies here, its why I kinda wanted a xenophobic kill all non Human (or Human AI) kind of Humanity. But I didn't go for that since literally no one would support it.
Its also why I don't want the Xenophile plans to win because it limits our options of interest in least were attacked (which in that plan is a worse case scenario)

While I read and vote for things that are greyer than I would permit in real life, it is my belief that all actions one takes shape yourself.

Play and games are intended to prepare oneself for the real world, for all that they are irreal. Similarly, for all that fiction is not real it is a preparation for the real world; a war-gaming of reality. Their value as a practice increases if you treat them as something real and serious - for all that they are also intended to be fun. Thus, I typically don't place them in a separate moral scope. When I do, I follow a morality diametric to the one I practice irl, so that they are distinguishable and distant experiences.

Well shit, that's completely different from me, My real life morals are pretty much left out when it comes to things that are not real. Once reality comes into the equation THEN my morals come out. Otherwise I don't really care.

Okay, it seems a few people don't quite understand why some of us vote for a Militaristic Government / Militant Trait, as explained it on my plan:
Military Republic
I seriously wasn't kidding when I mentioned that some...if not all of our greatest civilizations were militaristic to extent or another. Life in the military teaches discipline and respect to one's superiors, but also instills a sense of brother/sisterhood and innovation (for the unorthodox units especially, why else are bored members of the military so...you know?), it's that kind of attitude that needs to be taken out there into the stars. One that guarantees that every single colony or larger settlement that humanity founds has defenders.

This also helps in keeping track of the population as knowing that every single Citizen is going to join the military, you technically don't need to establish departments for census-taking as every Unit keeps track of their own, even after retirement.

Leaders who were once in the military also have an advantage, as they understand what the military needs and doesn't need, this kind of knowledge cannot in any way, shape, or form be overstated enough. Logistics is king. Especially at such a grand level as a star-spanning civilization. The fact humanity as a whole can mobilize as a cohesive military organization if need be is a massive bonus.
I voted for it because of cultural impact it would have on humanity, in the sense that EVERYONE has been raised under culture of Discipline, Respect, and Service. Which is important when Shit Needs To Get Done.

Which, despite repeated efforts, only continue to further sour me on the idea at all...

Wrong audience appeal. The compromise doesn't work because the central piece is objectionable

@Japanime I'm voting for this because I do believe that you have put forward at least fairly sound reasoning as too why you want to do this plan. While nothing against the other voters, you have a good argument for why you are picking your choices and while I do not necessarily agree with all of them I did enjoy reading what you had in mind.

So I'll give this a shot even if it doesn't necessarily mesh with some of the omake ideas I have in store.

Closing votes tonight at 9pm EST.

Even if you've voted already, I'd recommend that you review some of the more popular plans and arguments for each, and then swap your votes or reaffirm yourselves that this is the route you want to win.

The first turn update will be coming sometime before Friday, maybe even tonight if @Snowfire and I finish playing Ashes of the Singularity early enough. :p

[x] PLAN: Omnissiah's Mandate
(It's the best plan with a realistic chance of winning [3rd] for tech-heavy play; it also has psionics.)

My only problem with Swiss Equality is that it doesn't have paranoid, it the thing that keeps you alive.

I'll do it anyway
