Winter is Coming: House Stark Quest

Mercy is nice, but doesn't pay for the reconstruction of the capital... maybe all these rebels that we forgive should pay up? That way they don't have the money to build up an army to resist us - nice side effect.
btw did we inherit all the Crown's debt to the Iron Bank too?

[X] A good king is merciful. A good king doesn't punish the innocent for the crimes of the dead. Right? Right? Ok fuck it, send Edric and Dacey out of the tent.

[] Don't send Dacey out of the tent

This is not Arianne. Arianne doesn't have blue eyes. This is Tyene here for revenge. Don't kill us, people.

Um, it's Arianne and Tyene. Both of them. And iandude rolled for Tyene. She genuinely blames Aegon.

I think Tyene and Arianne are offering fealty in exchange for vengeance against Aegon the False. The seduction thing's a bonus more than anything else, since that's Arianne's MO in general and Robb can't turn off his swag for love nor money. If a Sand Wolf results because of it well, more the merrier I guess?

Speaking of, @Charcolt do we have a sitrep on the other adult Sand Snakes? I presume the kids are still in the water gardens with Ellaria, but Obara, Nym and Sarella seem to be MIA. I presume they weren't killed since I can't imagine Tyene wouldn't mention that in her tirade against Aegon but still...
They are offering it as a bonus since that's their MO but if they get kept around say with a small council job then there will likely be more considering their fondness for it and the perks of sleeping with the king, assuming this isn't an assassination attempt, though Arianne being here suggests it isn't who knows with the dornish...

Okay, so we have picked out are Capital (Kings Landing), and we have Lords for all of the Paramount regions of Westeros (we still do have Theon, right?),

I propose, we get about to selecting a Small Council, What do you guys think of this council:

The Small Council
Hand of the King: "Bronze" Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone
Master of Coin: Wyman Manderly, Lord of White Harbour
Master of Laws: Randyll Tarly, Lord of Hornhill and Highgarden (or "Bronze" Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone {if someone else becomes Hand})
Master of Ships: Jason Mallister, Lord of Seaguard (or Theon Greyjoy, Lord of Pyke)
Master of Whispers: Tyene Sand (or Roose Bolton, Lord of the Dreadfort)

You're a bit short on Stormlanders for the guy who just stole their liege lady's throne.

Obara and Nymeria escaped back to Sunspear. Sarella is in Oldtown, and the younger four remain with their mother.

As long as we have Greywind we're covered in the bodyguard department, and I'm not entirely comfortable making Dacey watch while Robb gets frisky with the Dornish. Besides, a direwolf in the room is more likely to discourage assassination than a guard; the Dornish might think they can take a human guard, but a wolf the size of a horse is terribly imposing and likely to shrug off a dagger and chew their faces off.

Edric's honor and lack of ambition was surprising, but quite welcome all things considered. It means we have a Dornish lord that we'll be able to trust, in the future; always a useful thing.

Umm, the only reason for Daceys presence is to ensure that our word is verified when we say we didn't sleep with them. Protection, really, is secondary.

I hope we're not getting poisoned by Tyene.

You do realize that Robb is, in fact, going to sleep with them, right? That's why the guards are being sent out of the tent. The vote functions as a tasteful fade-to-black implication of what's occurring, avoiding any issues the mods would dislike while also keeping true to the nature of ASOIAF as a series where coitus is a valid tool in the repertoire of its peoples.

Indeed. There should be at least one Stormlander in a major position.

Oh, and Davos for Hand.

That is a Good point about Stormlanders, here is my amended Small council idea:

The Small Council
Hand of the King: Eldon Estermont, Lord of Greenstone [A Stormlord, who is related to Shireen]
Master of Coin: Wyman Manderly, Lord of White Harbour
Master of Laws: Randyll Tarly, Lord of Hornhill and Highgarden (or "Bronze" Yohn Royce, Lord of Runestone)
Master of Ships: Jason Mallister, Lord of Seaguard (or Theon Greyjoy, Lord of Pyke)
Master of Whispers: Tyene Sand (or Roose Bolton, Lord of the Dreadfort)
Master of Arms: Ser Rolland Storm [Die-Hard Stannisite]

I was think that Davos (and Cressen/Pylos) could act as Shireen's Castellan, as we know that Davos is loyal.

[X] Well... that's all very persuasive but you're quite set on killing some Dornish. Have Dacey take these two away in chains. You'll depose Prince Doran and set up Edric when you're done with the Golden Company.
-[X] Blood claims do matter though. The other girls ought to become Septas or Silent Sisters, but one (perhaps Elia Sand) should wed him to secure his rule over Dorne.

-[X] Edric should marry Arya. She would do well in Dorne and your nieces and nephews would rule over one of the Seven Kingdoms.
[x] Edric marries Arianne Martell and they rule Dorne
[X] Politely rebuff their advances. Send them away to consider matters. Summon Edric. Impressed with the young man's moral fiber, ask him to consider a marriage to Arianne.

I'm opposed to this just because they think with a caress and bedroom eyes (and a loose cooch) they'll drag us by the nose and we'll be willing to forgive and forget. Shouldn't we distance ourselves from Bobby B's philandering ways? Also careful not to catch any STDs.

They'll be welcome to pay proper respect (heh) once we're the uncontested ruler of Westeros.

Tyene wants revenge on Aegon, not political power. And she may be crushing on Robb a bit here.

Arianne wants her birthright, and is trying to side with Robb so her father's indecision and Oberyn's antics don't screw things up for her.

That's an eleven year age difference between Edric and Arianne, I think.

And it still implies taking Arianne's seat, or at least changing who holds the power. And Edric wouldn't be comfortable with that part. Honor and all that.

I don't suppose we can retract or modify our decision to dethrone the Martells, @Charcolt?

That's what this update is. Edric just made it clear he doesn't want the job, and here is a convenient alternative.

Also, did anyone realize that she just grabbed our arm? And that Dornish are masters at poison? Hmm...people, don't think with Little Robb. Most likely, this isn't an invitation to a threesome but an assassination attempt, especially as someone noted that this is not Arianne.

No deals with Snakes.

That person failed to notice it was both Tyene and Arianne in the update.

We've been over this.

Tyene is the one that uses poison. But there was a roll for her being on our side and it was very good.
