Am i missing something? The dream lives on.
I just got us an Assassin Waifu who blames F!Aegon for our problems.
If only my grand idea was chosen.
Charcolt has accepted this as canon, btw.

Our full name is Robert. Like Bran's name is Brandon and Ned's name is Eddard. And Lord Eddard Stark sounds much more official and grand than Lord Ned Stark. Our name is not Robert, it's Robb. We are not a Baratheon, we're a Stark. Robert II implies the continuation of the Baratheon dynasty in name. If there's a Robert Stark II, people will expect there to have been a Robert Stark I. The basic rules of noble naming conventions would implore us to take the name Robert, Second of his name of House Baratheon when we marry Shireen, which is something I'm not and never will be in favor of. Our name is Robb and House Stark shall have domain from now on. It's best that everyone gets that into their heads as soon as possible.
Um, no. Bran's name is Brandon, and Bran is a nickname. Ned's name is Eddard, and Ned is a nickname. That's explicitly stated in canon. Nowhere is it said anywhere in canon that Robb's actual name is Robert, because it's not. Certainly Robb was named for Robert, but his name is Robb. Nothing more, and nothing less. And so it should remain. Our full name is Robert. Like Bran's name is Brandon and Ned's name is Eddard
it's a matter of if he wants to frame this ascension as a rightful continuation of the Baratheon claim (even if named Stark) in King Robert's namesake and goodnephew, or a new dynasty elevated by acclamation from the Lords of Westeros.
I don't think we should change the name our parents gave us.To clarify, Robb's full name is Robb. But Robb is a regional variation of Robert (akin to Ferdinand [German] <--> Fernand [French] <--> Fernando [Spanish]) so it's a matter of if he wants to frame this ascension as a rightful continuation of the Baratheon claim (even if named Stark) in King Robert's namesake and goodnephew, or a new dynasty elevated by acclamation from the Lords of Westeros.
