My Magical Warrior Best Friend can't find out my Secret!

@BungieONI any chance you'll swap back over to the werewolf prince? Mad Scientist is getting abit close and Werewolf *does* have a lead over Sin and iirc your okay with either of them winning.

And i'd really like to not be yet another RnD PC in a Quest frankly. SV chooses them a lot.
Ehh why not.

[x] The Werewolf Prince: The son of the Lady of Savagery and the Lord of Shades you are a powerful fey abomination capible of utterly destroying most who oppose you...and that's without a full moon boosting your power.
[x] Beautiful Fairy Princess!: Descended from a line of good fey the Fairy Princess attacks her enemies using a variety of confusing magical attacks.

Full Romeo!

I still prefer Sin honestly, if this becomes a romance quest I'm out.
Not looking for romance tbh. More looking forward to the utter hilarity of two sides finding out who each other really are and all the fae politics shenanigans that result from that.

And. Well. I personally cant really see how the Sin can not be outright evil.

Edit: Also Hilarity from having a father who's a Troll.

And I literally couldn't give a shit about politics.

Also, you know, maybe the same way every other character can not be evil, by choosing. I mean, the Werewolf dude is still a fey and as such has some inhuman mentality, while the Sin was originally Human and still holds a human personality.

That has everything to do with how we play the character, not which one we pick. Because it can happen with any of them.

No matter which one we pick... We've got a Beauty and the Beast set up, where we're hiding who we are as the world goes to utter shit. The three ways this goes are: She kills us (because do you want to be the kind of person who knowlingly kills their best friend?)... She finds out and we stay friends, or she finds out and because we're pretty much the only other person in her main social circle that knows all the weird crap that happens in her life (and have likely helped both cause and resolve some of it) we suddenly move to the top of the "eligible bachelor" list.

Actually, now that I think about it... Wolf Prince is the one who's most likely already engaged...

Probably not honestly, and even so, then we'd have to deal with politics. And not just any politics, Fae politics.

With mad scientist we have by far the most freedom.

Just runs the risk of unleashing abominations on innocent people and getting a lot of people killed when the Mad Science part inevitably comes to the surface.
I'm pretty sure we could just as easily go the whole affably evil route if we want. You know, adding a really obvious self destruct button on the robot or making the giant killer bunny a pacifist.

I'm not really that picky on the enemy to be honest but if I need to choose

[X] Beautiful Fairy Princess

Magic vs technology

Obvious self destruct button or not Mad Scientist is still going to be occasionally unleashing his mas creations on civilians and some will be killed or hurt before a hero can intervene.

Also, the For Science! binges will probably have a not-insignificant chance of blowing the Mad Scientist's cover. Which most likely means we get pressed into service for this or that evil organization. It'll take time for the scientist to get anywhere nearly strong enough to tell everyone that wants to press gang him to fuck off.

For Science! route is overused on SV imo.

Honestly I haven't actually seen it done before.

No, the choice with the most freedom is explicitly the Homonculus, who definitely isn't going to win. More freedom then the other two front runners though, maybe, that's arguable.

I forgot about the homunculus.

That being said, the Mad Scientist is the only one that may win with no starting allegiances to anyone but himself.

The werewolf is a member of the fae court, and a prince. Gluttony specifically serves someone else. Mad Scientist has no such obligations. (I mean, he may be press-ganged, but only if we play recklessly.)

[x] The Mad Scientist: Instead of and ancient evil or hopped up cult the source of your problems comes from your own madness, while you are decent and even helpful most of the time the fact remains that your worst parts can flare up at a moments notice, and you can cause quite a bit of damage during those instances.
Pros: Greatest flexibility, most enemies know nothing about you.
Cons: The only option that can and will backslide, once discovered other evils will have no problem pressing you into service.

[x] Lady of Gears: Using a powerful mechanical enchantment passed down through her family the lady of gears face evil with an arsenal of magical firepower!

The Mad Scientist is also noted to specifically have a certainty of backsliding. And you can't rely on being able to keep from being discovered since you know, Mad Scientist's gonna SCIENCE! even if it means unleashing deathbots in a city.

Really, I think people are giving too little weight to that problem. Sure, put in a easy to find obvious self destruct. So what? It doesn't stop a death machine from tearing its way through a city before the heros stop it. And we can't direct what to build from what i can tell when the Mad Scientist inevitably backslides. Make tweaks like putting in a easy to find and use self destruct? Sure. But we can't going to be able to turn a death machine into a cook bot or a murder beast into a cuddly bunny or something like that.

I don't understand why people are so damn blase about us outright losing control for a certain amount of time other than doing some tweaks.

Edit: And the other disadvantage is that 'other evils will have no problem pressing you into service'.

Mad Scientist is the squishiest of the options. Likely needs a long time to actually get strong enough minions to fight other evils off. And has a good chance of being discovered on one of its binges to boot.

Freedom of action is all well and good, but frankly isn't worth it if we end up being a fucking toy factory for another evil for much of the quest.

Really hope there's going to be more votes for werewolf, since I'd personally REALLY rather not play another damned RnD/research/stewardship/learning/intel focus hero/villain quest. Seriously.
