Success at tribute day is plenty of revenge. We can hunt him down next turn.

You know as much as I want to kill that guy it is unlikely to cause him more inconvenience that it did us and tribute day is right here, so wath you people think o leting him go now and eating him in a single bite next week ?
oh really? @Lost Star what happens if a dreamer doesn't have enough to pay the 100 gossamer reformation fee?

Always willing to have my vote changed, but would rather succeed at tribute. Though, it looked like we only needed one point more damage to kill the minions with breath weapon? If so, that might be worth working towards.

Dragon awe seems perfect for no-selling a master based enemy as well, but that's going to take some work to get.

Can we spend gossamer to improve our Form while we remake it? If so, does it cost the initial or the graft cost?

I've noticed that people seem to be intending to try for the Dreamcatcher's reward again. I'm curious why that would be a priority?

For one thing, winning three times in a row makes us a big target; is that worth doing?
For a second thing, if the difference between winning and being in the middle of the pack is e.g. 40-60 gossamer, that 4-6 cohesion and 2-3 Phantasm. Shouldn't we be trying to hoard our gossamer instead?

Dreams and nightmares made up the dream world. To acknowledge the existence of one was to acknowledge the existence of the other. Fear and terror were part and parcel of the world and reality. The Dream-Catcher had forced John to dwell in a war torn area in his dream form once. The standard nightmares around him were paltry compared to some from people who had seen family members tortured to death in front of them. Though sometimes nightmares in hospitals were close.

To get caught up in the bad parts was to lose sight of the world. It was one of the most brutal lessons he had ever learned frankly. John had learned it though.

So where others might have been dissuaded or dismayed, John had thrown himself back into work. First by remaking his dragon from.

There was a bit of an art to doing it he found. You didn't need to re-gather all the materials. You just needed to patently remember how each line and part looked. Like remembering how your body was after a long night's sleep. Piece by piece. Fingers, toes, teeth, and nose. Tail that thrashed, and eyes that glowed. A dragon's breath and wings of wonder. A dash of cute, and softness, but a lethal predator's mindset hiding beneath. His dragon was his second body, and it took just a bit of effort to remake it. Well that and some of his horde. That stung a bit.

Regardless, things went as normal for John aside from the remaking of his dragon form. This was basically the holiday stretch. Next month was Christmas, and no one was making trouble here. He'd actually get two weeks off next month too, which was nice. Santa dreams were funny, and he had picked up the cute parts for his dragon from a few plushy dreams around this time.

John might have pushed a bit hard in his dreams of wonder technique though. The devouring teeth part for his dragon form required a violent nightmare of teeth hunting and devouring something.

In this case when he had finished the prep work, he had fallen asleep and fallen out of his chair the second the dream had finished. The nightmare had been of the shadow thing he had bounty hunted, and he could have sworn he could still feel the teeth around his real form.

At least Harold had gotten a good laugh out of the entire thing. John had gotten a small bump, and a minor phobia of teeth for the next few days, but not much more.

Hunting went all right as well. Admittedly he wasn't able to find good prey, but he had managed to find it. Another Night-light. An extreme nuisance that had smacked him in the face before he had managed to find it. The things died in a single hit, but damn it wasn't irritating.

One of these days he was going to figure out a way to bite the things before they hit him, and then he'd be supremely happy. Until then he just had to nurse his wounds and feel better about chewing on what amounted to a glowing ball of light. It tasted like soda and cotton candy by the way.

170 Gossamer -90 repair = 80
Hunting action: 11 (Speed) + 7 (Ring Bonus) + (21 Night Light) =40 Rounded up.
129 Gossamer
Night Light hit for 9 by the way.

Tribute time! How much?

Here's hoping that we win. It's really either all in and get prize, or minimal without punishment so we can upgrade and get stronger. Getting extra power based on our hoard size really makes for some conundrums with upgrades...
