True enough what do you guys think are the odds that something goes wrong. Therefore causing us to create ourselves an enemy.
First we should consider what can go wrong, then we can assign the odds.
  • Stone itself is somehow defective.
    • The girl is unable to take in the power and becomes a crazy yandere/mutant/psycho/demon.
    • The wish girl made is twisted and hurts her/us.
  • Girl disagrees with serving some Eldricht Evil Ruler.
    • Maybe her friends uncover that truth and call out on her obvious evil doing.
    • She doesn't find serving us compelling either, finds newfound passion in origami and refuses to work on anything else.
  • She's already a (bored) mahou shoujo AND will rat us out to her superiors.
All of them are.... unlikely. Very unlikely, in fact. What we can expect are oddities and unexpected quirks, like changes to personality or desire to consume human energy.

To all those voting for the starting pubescent... err the middle school attendie. You're missing a large opportunity with the high school lass that's our age. Our own, devoted, tsundere; possibly even yandere. That'll cause situations that almost beg for harems to grow from.
I mean, you're assuming romance is a goal we're looking for in this specific situation. If it were, we'd have already voted for the high school girl, because the other two would get the thread deleted.

Who said anything about the MC getting involved in romance? I just said that the high school girl our MC's own age might turn out to be tsundere to our MC, or even yandere, and either would likely jump start a whole harem comedy subplot, or would weird out our MC enough to wonder what he did to deserve "this."

[X] The High School Student who comes from a rather rich family but became a delinquent. Originally started in order to try and get attention from her parents, she got addicted to street fighting but got bored of them when she kept on winning without much effort.

[x] The Middle school student who, beneath her friendly and outgoing facade, is desperately looking of a purpose in life. Having tried all kinds of hobbies, none of them really clicked with her despite her talent in many of them. Puts her all into whatever she's doing.

For some reason i have the impression of this being Yandere-Chan (Yandere Simulator) before she discovers her 'true love' \ sempai in high school. If so, Do we accidentally replace Sempai?! Good Lord NO

I was about to disagree- a 'professional', dedicated killer with little to no emotion besides love to us? Perfect!
Except... we already get loyalty through the fealty to Ebon Emperor every advisor pledges.
Remove the advantage of 'loyalty' and you are left with a possessive crazy person.
...
Could we possibly fix Yandere-chan?
Insert emotional energy into her soul? Cure her curse of apathy?
How much can we change in a person? And how reliably?
Could we hypothetically make Roselyn a meek, shy girl without completely breaking her soul?
...
Could we insert a soul into an object, thus creating a golem with full human personality?
I'd love to try that. :V*evil laughter*

Okay, can someone explain to me just why it is apparently so appealing to gain a thirteen to fourteen year old Lolita to call our MC master? Because that is what the middle schooler is going to end up calling us, especially if she's made a servant of the Emperor. While I'm certain that @shibosho would have enough sense not to make anything romantic out of it. I can't help but get the impression that many voters of the middle school student option are forgetting that this is the Sufficient Velocity message board and not Questionable Questing message board. And the only acceptable excuse for someone to vote the middle school student option is if they themselves are a thirteen to fourteen year old middle school girl. Anything else, is blatantly declaring a desire to instigate a romantic, and possibly intimate, relationship between a starting puberty young girl and a young adult male about to turn eighteen.

Yeah, yeah, I know, according to you people that voted that way, I'm reading to much into it... but look at from my perspective. A bunch of grown men, a few young adult women, voting to make the first magical girl that's going to be undyingly loyal to our young adult, male, MC; a young girl just starting puberty. What signal do you think that sends?

Many of us have already said it's because she would be the easiest to make loyal, mould to our liking, and train to do whatever due to her personality. You guys just keep thinking of ill-begotten subtexts that don't actually exist.

I agree with you it is a bit disturbing and the other reasons that people use to justify it are also twisted. For example she's easier to mold or control.

However please remember this is a story and this isn't even the worse one out there in terms or morality. Plus we would have to make the descion to seduce and have a relationship with her. So as long as we don't do that it's not ethically wrong. Afternoon all if she gets a small crush that's normal for or someone's at her age.

After all I'm sure at least some of us here have had crushes when we were that young.

Many of us think the middle schooler will be the most loyal, dedicated, and/or competent. Many others are reminded of Nanoha by her summary.

I can't speak for others, but I personally am getting creeped out and disgusted by how you critics of our vote keep on insisting the relationship will be sexual or have sexual overtones.

Hell, to respond to your idea about titles, she could call us Ebon or Boss or Sir or any number of things.

As for the undying loyalty?
1. She'll be loyal to our CAUSE if she's loyal to anything.
2. If you have a problem with people swearing fealty to the MC you are in the wrong thread.
3. We have three MG candidates and three Ebon Wishing Stars. We were going to recruit her anyway. If you have a problem with the character options bring it up with the QM and/or start making Write-in candidates of your own.

That you need to take off your shipping glasses? Accusing everybody wanting to recruit the person explicitly described as putting her all into whatever she's doing of being perverted, of all things, is debating in such hilariously terrible faith that you can't possibly be taken seriously.

That's a fair point. Were it a stand-alone story, one with even semblances of realism, I'd be slightly creeped out. But here's a thing:
This is a an "Anime Villain Quest", and it implies a few... things:
-In anime, everyone is a kid. 30 or 15, you look the same. Most animes are in high-school, but you won't see too much of a difference in earlier stages.
-In anime, 'relationships' (the broad term) with younger girls are... worryingly common. Especially the younger-sister one. Another such ship isn't too much of a surprise.
-That one is closer to quest rather than anime in general, but it's pretty lighthearted. We aren't already buying equipment or lighting the candles, it's just half-joking "Yandere-chan Best girl" talk you'll see in anime discussion freaking everywhere.
Have problem with that, you'll have problem with a big chunk of anime.
...
Also sweet Jesus, you

didn't you?

While that bonfire continues to be all consuming...

At the end of the day, let's not read too deeply into the options and draw conclusions. Let's wait for the QM to continue posting and see how this plays out.
