Death World creature quest

Can we vote to investigate more than one thing at a time? I'll adjust the following if not. Also, I assume that investigation doesn't involve actually going nearer to the thing we're investigating?

You can investigate multiple things on each update. I'll probably leave a section at the top of updates where i explain what they are. Also, you're correct in assuming that investigation is purely sight based - You do not have to approach the objects you're investigating.

Edit:
Shit, forgot to mention that you can investigate and complete an action on the same turn.

[X] Investigate the beetle corpse.
[X] Investigate the pebble-looking thing on the right.
[X] Investigate the hanging fern-looking things near the top.
[X] Investigate the weird spider-looking thing on the other side of the clearing.

fixed it btw pls have mercy from the 1 we rolled i really want to start my own brood i dont need to die turn 2.

A large (By your standards) forest clearing greets you, hosting at it's centre the corpse of an insect. Distantly you hear a soft tapping sound from behind you, like a tiny drum hit quickly and repetitively. What could this mean?
...no one else noticed the invisitext? this is a goddamn trap, with the bait in the middle of a large clearing for us, the schmuck, to start eating, before we get ganked from behind, or under, or above... also it sounds like one of those thousand legged insects...centipede? or millipede. or a unit of ants marching in line like an army.

Oh, yeah, definitely. Didn't notice the invisitext, but that beetle corpse in the middle of a pristine clearing 100% looked like a trap to me. Might be prudent to look behind us.

Invisitext?

Man.

[X] Turn around, see what's making that noise. And be ready to flee.

Prioritizing checking out that noise.

Invisitext will only be present if there's a danger that you can't see with your eyes/nose and is very faint.

This looks like it'll be interesting if we don't die immediately.

Would have been good to know.

you sneaky bastard. ;)
you realize now that i will have to highlight every thread u do from now on right.

Ayyyyy :p

Somebody roll another d20 pls.

The dice you've been rolling are noise checks - If you roll equal to or lower than your current noise stat, you will be hunted. Same happens if you decide to listen for noise, but in reverse.

Edit:
Adding this to rules post.

Both rolls are to see if someone notices you. You failed both, therefore something notices you on both occasions. (First roll was for the first post when you emerged, second was for the next one, when you travelled east.

Anyway, time to see how much noise ??? makes.
