Omake Policy
This is going to be an on-going effort to encourage player participation for the quest (and also because I like when you guys jump in and help me better define my little universe)

As the thread progresses, I'll be throwing out Word of God info dumps on you guys on stuff like factions, Magic, history and so on.

However as the quest goes on, more high risk and high reward actions will be showing up more often with low success rates and be stuck there for a while without taking certain options before hand. However, even then, there'll be options with success rates that won't go up no matter what options you take. That's where omakes come in.

When someone writes out an Omake, I'll mark it into one of four categories: Non-Canon, Semi-Canon, Canon, and WoG Confirmed. Please note, I will not explain or point out which parts lead to a given Omake being put into it's category! That's be up to YOU guys to figure out.

Non-Canon: These Omakes, while nice and enjoyed by moi, are filled with a large number of things that go contrary to what I have going on and/or active in the quest. For Example - The Company is actually run by Incubators who are insane and thus wants to help people instead of filling their Quota. These Omakes get you a +5 to agiven roll, chosen by the writer of the Omake.

Semi-Canon: Parts of the Omake are canon-compliant ,but not all of it is. More or less like above, except it's familiars that are running the Company and they may or may not be insane. These get you a +10 to a given roll, again chosen by the Omake Writer.

Canon: Full-on Canon-compliant Omakes. These can be considered actual events/dossiers/what-have-you that exist in-universe for the quest. Particularly out-there Omakes that manage to get canon-status can also net you bonuses besides the +15 they net you by default.

WoG Confirmed: These are TRUTH. Things that can be considered as to have come from yours-truly. Absolute meta-facts on the universe in general and the base mechanics involved. If marked as such, you are fully allowed to even site them during arguments or to evencall me out on inconsistencies that will inevitably crop upfrom time to time. If someone says "nope, can't do that" and one of these says otherwise, you can point at it and tear his entire argument down. This prestigious position comes with a full +25 to a desired Roll plus I'll be speaking to the writer about further bonuses that they can choose from.

I'll keep a list on what hasn't and has been spent. And yes, I'm copying most of this message from someone else's quest.

I feel like this is our safest bet so far. We upgrade our forces and get an immediate gain of money to tide us over and continue expanding our capabilities.

Martial:
We get free Shadows every time, all the time. We might as well increase their power so that when we eventually use them to leach energy for us they'll be able to get actually decent amounts of energy. Plus, they're free. Free I say. Free.
Stewardship:
Make easy Bling. Ca-ching, etc.
Better than the underground fighting ring as a source of $ because, hey, it doesn't entail revealing our fighting skills to people and gaining a shitton of attention for a mere $1k. Yes, it only has a 60% chance of success, but I'd say that making any amount of jewels and being able to sell a single one of them is still likely to gain us $100. We could just spread a blanket on the side walk and be like "Selling pretty rocks!!" and rake in the dough from parents whose kids are forcing them to buy. Maybe start making them into marbles? Eventually switch to vases? Open up an art gallery so that our originally $5 goods are going for $10k? The sky is the limit.
Diplomacy:
Ninjas = body enhancement. Also kind of want to deal with the independents. Don't want to deal with the Mages, as they'll probably know our history and want to snuff out our darkness.
Intrigue:
Convinced by a different person's argument. Rumor mill is peak necessity.
Learning:
We need a better understanding of the fundamental capabilities of our Ebon power. Plus, right now we're limiting ourselves to melee weapons. Let's get a gun.
Piety:
More Healing as opposed to messing with the gem. We need better skills before we can risk wasting this precious crit result.
Misc.:
Meh, 100% jacking the argument from the person below me in hopes that this change will change his mind.

Guys. I want to set up a spy network too, but the Vault is a for sure source of funds. let's not announce our presence just yet.

[X] Plan: Stealth and Certainty.

While I want to do Underground Fight Club, I want to go into the Vault even more.

Augh!! So many plans but I can't copy and paste on my phone:cry:

Anyway I'll just say for MARTIAL we should go with the upgraded knights for the sole reason that we have a lot of ebon power right now. The other options can be done anytime.

For STEWARDSHIP ebon jeweler looks good but has a lower success rate. We need guaranteed money so fight club all the way.

For DIPLOMACY we should not contact other factions until we can defend ourselves. Let's keep moving on the company to coopt it. No reason to make possible enemies...yet.

Finally enter the vault seems like a must if we can afford it. Money, artifacts and hero units? No reason to not do it.

I'll vote after work. I hope the vote is still open by then...

Edit: actually @buli-buli your plan is perfect to me if you can just replace the martial option with making ebon knights. Like I said we might as well do that now while we have our power boost. We can upgrade minions next turn.

you could sacrifice the misc action to get an Extra Action and set it up. If you do that I'll vote for you.

Also, why would you want to learn how to fly rather than to heal? Healing is, like... the first step toward immortality.

Ya know what would be amazing. Eather finding a way for on and off site teleportation or portals, and figuring out if we can make a commander core. AKA make the laws of thermodynamics, physics, and natural laws our bitch. Ie: make something from nothing.

I'll have to think about the personal action thing.

And I agree on the healing versus flight thing. but healing is only 40% chance of success versus 75% for flight. I'm willing to put off healing to see if we can get that higher.

Avoiding risk makes sense, and flight adds another dimension to our fights. Ebon Substitution and etc. are the most likely ways to increase the chance for healing.

I'll just wait 'till you've made up your mind on the extra action. Personally, I feel the rumors are more worthwhile than an RL increase, and presumably both can be gotten later.

Baring some unforseen and important options next turn, I'll be voting for the rumor mill.
But for now I think I'll hold off.
My plan seems to be popular and its a pet peeve of mine when plans I've already voted for get changed. so I don't want to do that to others.
That said if you manage to get a list of people supporting that change I'll seriously consider it.

[X] Plan: Stealth and Certainty.

I hadn't noticed that the Vault guaranteed funds. Hopefully it'll be at least enough to tide us over until we can get a money stream set up.

[ ] Encounter with Exorcists: These guys hunt demons and evil spirits by night and have apparently ordinary lives during the day, except for those who seems to be doing the exorcist thing twenty-four seven. See if they'll be willing to deal with a dark mysterious figure with powers that superficially look like they came from dark origins. Cost: 0 EP. Chance of Success: 50% Reward: Information on Mages in the City.

Uh, don't you mean Reward: Information on Exorcists in the City?

Also is there a limit to the +bonus we can put onto something from omakes? Or can we give something say... a +200 bonus lol?
