We returned to the Tomb, all of us being rather quiet on the way, be it from introspection of revelations, or because we were full. Mimikyu was around my throat as a silver collar-style necklace, encrusted with emeralds, which I rather liked. I'd had to have a bit of a one-sided talk with Mimikyu, who was rather unhappy with Lucian for... Ehm. Well.

Lucian and I had a talk before going back to the others. He knew that I was polyamorous, and he told me that wouldn't be a problem for any sort of relationship we might have. "Your capacity for love is deep and wide." He told me, and I couldn't help the small smile that crossed my face. "I think you are able to love many people equally. I won't go anywhere even if you ever fall out of love with me."

"Til death do we part, huh?" I asked, chuckling slightly as I resumed dragon form, and he took back his pseudo dragon form. "... Hahaha."

"Hm?"

"A Familiar bond is sort of like a marriage, isn't it?"
I mused along our link. I grinned as I felt Lucian's embarrassment, shyness, but mostly warmth and pride towards me.

When we got back to the campfire, I detected a worrying amount of bloodlust emanating from the sulking treasure chest, lurking on the edge of the clearing. Sighing heavily, I went over to Mimikyu and took them off to the side for a few moments. "You can't eat Lucian." I told them bluntly, ignoring the annoyed hiss. "For several reasons, only one of which is that I love him. If he's hurt, I get hurt too." I tried explaining to the odd being.

After about an hour, the bloodlust had pretty well died down, and I allowed them to become a wide necklace on my throat. I probably should have scolded them more, a bit firmer, but I didn't have it in me at the moment. Even that effort had disturbed the happy, if confusing emotions that had filled me after Lucian's confession.

Now though, we were on our way back home. Yes, home. Hm. I should name it, a capital City kind of name...

Once we were back at the tomb, I noticed that Kaya was, by now, even more uncomfortable than before. I hesitated. I was being kinda selfish, now that I thought about it. I was taking all this time, while Kaya was being tugged and tugged and tugged by the geas.

I went to one of the chests and pulled out about 16 gems. One emerald, and the rest were tiger eyes. I scanned them to make sure they weren't already enchanted, then took them outside.

"What are you..." Kaya began to ask me, and then stopped, eyes widening as I set the gems down on the hard soil. I drew rough shapes of bodies around them, filling the lines with bits of white stone from the rubble laying around, and gave a few of them tentacles so they could handle fine motor movements.

I started with the emerald. They were very good at holding magic, and had a history of being used by rulers in jewelry and artifacts. This one, I would turn into a high- quality Golem.

I began the spell chant, weaving my words as the stone shifted, melted, melded. Soon, I had my first Golem. It had a white stone body with fingers, and was draped with vine "tentacles" (stop giggling) that it could use to lift and move small, delicate objects.

"You will be the one who commands the others." I ordered. "We will be gone, likely for a few days. In that time, you will take the fifteen lesser golems and assign them each a job. Count and categorize each type of treasure, and then divige the gold and gems into... let's see." I looked at Tal. "If you leave your bag here, I'll have them load up your share."

Tal nodded, taking the bag off as I turned back to the attentive golem. "Three piles: 4;2;4." I said. "One of the fours will be put in this bag." I indicated his bag. "Pile 2 will be put into a small annex room, for rebuilding funds. And the rest, please pile it up neatly in the main room, and don't break anything." Hehehe, a treasure bed. I looked at Kaya. "You may choose what you want later, when we come back?"

Kaya nodded. "Yes, I want to stick around with you guys for a while." She smirked, folding her arms. "But not while I have a collar. I take it we are finally going?"

I nodded. "Sure are." I confirmed, before forming the rest of the golems. These ones could only follow direct orders, and weren't as smart as the main one. I sent them all back down the tunnel before looking down at Mimikyu. "... Mimikyu, could you stay here with them?" I asked the mimic as I glanced around. "You can help the golems not make a mistake, and I don't... think you're ready to meet many new people yet." They looked unconvinced. "... could you please wait in the hoard for me?" I asked, giving them a bright smile. "I will feel so much better knowing you are here guarding it for me."

There was a long, calculating moment before they dripped off my neck and landed on the ground, taking the form of a... um... a stout, boxy alligator- monster thing? It looked like some sort of golden statue. It snapped it's jaws once, then turned and trundled down the passage to the hoard.

We closed it up, then got ready to leave. Kaya was happy to get on my back again, I was apparently a nicer ride than Tal, who was sort of pointy- spiky. I wouldn't want to be prodded down there, that's for sure.

As much as I thought Mimikyu was cute, I was still worried. Yandere was never a genre of romance I could seriously get into. If they had a problem with Lucian, and were a threat to him, we had to work on that.

We did some more hunting as we flew over the ocean, catching large fish and catching glimpses of sails on the horizon. We arrived at the low coastal woods to the south of the Elven lands. We touched down for a rest break, Kaya excusing herself and going off to take care of business, Tal and I taking a few moments to look around at the surrounding area. We spotted a few signs of villages further down, but-

"I smell smoke." Tal said, looking in the direction of one of the coastal villages. I followed his gaze, and spotted some long ships right off the coast that looked... familiar.

"Oh hell." I hissed, tempted to knock my head against a nearby tree. Vikings? Seriously? What sort of fantasy kitchen sink was this place I got dropped into, anyway? If we could smell smoke this far away, there was a raid going on, most likely.

Was this going to be a thing for me? Run across raiders of some sort every time I flew by this coast?

I sighed. "Let's go check it out once Kaya gets back." I said, feeling resigned. Lucian floated by my head and nuzzled my cheek, which made me smile. He was so damn cute like this. "Hopefully it won't be too bad down there."

Kaya didn't seem too happy about the idea of going down there. "They're from Nora." She said as she looked at the boats. "Weird though. They don't usually come around here, and I've never heard of this clan raiding."

"Well..." I shifted from claw to claw. We could ignore it, I supposed.

Also, let us be a helpful derg. Don't want our soon-to-be neighbors to think we're some aloof asshole of a dragon who cares not for regular people.

Also, Ryu, I send hugs from a roughly north direction to you. Hope your move goes better if it is not already done.

Yeah I have a feeling our barbarian is one of the vikings raiding, but after we show him/her o̶u̶r̶ ̶h̶a̶r̶e̶m̶ ̶p̶o̶w̶e̶r̶s̶ the error of their ways we can go on magical adventures together and probably stop and ancient lich from destroying the world, you know the usual.:V
