[X][Rebellion] Provide Non-Violent Aid to the Rebels, Return With Refugees But No Lux

Oathbreaking is lame. If an oath doesn't constrain your behaviour, including in ways you'd rather not, it's hardly an oath at all.

And rules-lawyering to finesse it seems just pathetic. If you're breaking it, break it — own up to it, to others and to yourself.

This is a good opportunity for Jinx character development, how she fights her battles, what kind of revolution she wants, she can prevent herself and Sylas from becoming Silco 2.0 and examine what kind of person she really wants to become, I mean creating hextech weapons and using Pow-Pow feels cool but does she really want to become the type of person that can and will gun down crowds of people shredding their bodies with machine guns killing many people, using her inventions to explode people with bombs indulging her darker impulse someone that Lux and her friends would fear and potentially hate or does she want to be some sort of hero to protect the oppressed and her friends showing mercy and compassion to her enemies whenever possible using the oath as a excuse.

[X][Rebellion] Fight For The Revolution! Free the Mages! Down with Jarvan IV!

Changed my mind after some more thought.

Well, the difference is still a couple of votes and it can still change in the next day or so...

I just want to make sure that people understand that supporting the Mage revolution is outright oath-breaking, and that if we get directly involved with Sylas' Revolution, we will get involved in one or several bloodbaths with plenty of collateral damage inflicted on civilians... Anyone who is familiar with Demacia's lore will know how vengeance-obsessed and ruthless Sylas is...

Having said that, I have no problem whatsoever with breaking our oath with an hypocrytical Holier Than Thou asshole like Lux's aunt, I don't give a flying fuck about the lifes of Mageseekers and Demacian Soldiers that will be lost, and I barely care about the collateral damage that civilians will suffer. The only reason I want to get back to Piltover ASAP is that we left our family and friends in a terrible situation caused by our actions, and we bailed out in the worst possible moment... And IMO we have the moral obligation of trying to help them deal with the shitstorm that we caused (and if we had dealt with Viktor rescue and Singed capture before coming to Demacia I would support joining the revolution) ...

BUT I find it extremely irritating that there are so many people trying to defend that taking "[][Rebellion] Fight For The Revolution! Free the Mages! Down with Jarvan IV!" is the only way to fulfill our oath, or that "we can make the revolution as painless as possible" or that "we can convince the people of demacia that mages aren't evil monsters" or that "we can moderate Sylas worst impulses"... Don't try kid yourselves guys, you are voting for breaking the letter and the spirit of the Oath and to get a whole lot of people killed in the process.

I'm genuinely not game for doing anything other than backing at least one friend to the hilt. Or the pistol grip, as the case happens to be. We had to dodge out of the mess we started with Viktor because, and this is important, he has a whole bunch of folks coming to his... aid? rescue? He wants to be there but idk. You know what I mean. Lux? She's got nobody here. As far as choices go, this is, IMO, the least bad option. We came this far. If we're lucky, the whole Mageseeker group shows up to throw down and get introduced to the reason why guns make melee combat and bows obsolete. Maybe then we can convince her to dip.

Also: binged this over the course of like a day, really enjoying the quest, kinda wish I'd cottoned on to it sooner so that maybe we would have already kissed a pretty girl or two.

1. Convince the public that Sylas blowing up the crowd during his execution was mostly accidental, as he was panicking.

2. Make sure that if the mages won they don't go on a executing spree on the nobility and royalty.

3. End the civil war without killing King Jarvan IV and if possible the least amount of bloodshed.

These won't stop mage discrimination in Demacia entirely, but will help convince the people of demacia that mages aren't evil monsters.

In fact one of the strategies to is to capture the king Jarvan and other high ranking nobles.
Really now, considering how many deaths and injuries in that crowd, there's no way in hell would Demacia's people would listen to a foreigner and traitors whitewashing everything.
The idea of Sylas and his lot stopping their revenge is just crazy talk because Lux is one person and Jinx would be dragging the Kiramman name and interests through the mud joining in or stopping them from wiping out the nobility and royalty.
Civil war not going to end that easy in a short amount of time is so foolish, this will take bloody months at best!

Really feel like Jinx will destroy everything she build just for Lux's conviction.
I bet in the end she will have to flee leaving behind a huge shitshow with Noxus taking over and Demacia's remnants hatred of Jinx and all the mages.

Do remember the culture of Demacia's people, they're more than just mages, there's no good end game here joining Lux's revolution.
What will Jinx's family would say if she join?

I am going to be completely sincere and extremely cynical here...

As long as you join the side that wins in the revolution/civil war/dynastic dispute, you will hit the jackpot... Like time and time again in history, the Kiramman name would be exalted if we win and cursed if we don't...

I am not against killing mageseekers and Jarban at all, but I am EXTREMELY against doing it right now and leaving our friends alone back in Piltover after it became a powderkeg due to Jinx's actions...

We are already here. It will take several days, minimum, to travel (literally) halfway across Runeterra to get back to Piltover and Zaun.

No matter what we do, we are out of the fight over Viktor and the fallout. We might as well make the trip, and any losses we may return and discover we've suffered, at least somewhat more worthwhile. It is minutely possible that the gang called off the attack when Jinx had to bounce, but otherwise, it has already happened, and things either went smoothly or we were coming back to a warzone anyway.

Yeah, but it is quite a big difference to return 7-10 days after the fallout than a couple of months after it...

The timing could be critical, considering Silco's response and that Ambessa is coming to Piltover as well.

As a bit of side speculation, I think it's also possible that Silco could get word of Jinx bouncing for Demacia and the troubles there, and he might be interested in seeing what she does. He may hold off going on a total offensive, assuming Singed manages to escape our friends.

No, I don't find it likely, but he seems to have a certain interest in and respect for her, so, hey. He might wanna see if she can do the revolutionary thing.

You do realize how fucking dumb it is "is about time we commit to something even if is stupid" as an argument?

the pattern so far is
>vote for doing ''A''
>run away/retreat just when we are about to finish up "A"

im bored man,i want to actually get something done,is not real life so im fine fumbling or ruining things once in a while as long it makes for interesting reading

In fairness, blowing up the government in an act of chaotic political violence that's probably a bad idea, and all just because she's bored, is something that's entirely on-brand for Jinx.

In this case, we are doing it to impress our not-girlfriend instead of just "boredom"... I don't know if that is better or worse, though.
Or because Jinx has a track record of really, really not liking people who'd like to murder her friends in general, and over things they had no say in in this specific case...

Point of fact, she's taken violent exception to people fucking with her people from the word 'go'.
