I'm probably late but I have a question. Will this also take place during camp cretaceous?
Depends on if I actually get that far, but if I do get to the Jurassic world arc, probably. I already have some ideas and things to tie in the Scorpius rex in but it would be up to your choices to actually encounter them. Plus you guys could totally warp canon in so many ways before we even get there.

You probably answered this guy. As we the dinosaur get older do we get more abilities?

Is Morada gonna survive?
It possible? Like default options when it comes to the vote that leads to Morada's Death are her dying. It's going to take a 'write in' to save her, and I'll probably end up rolling several dice to see if she survives and in what condition depending the 'write in' in question.

Will there only be a single point where a 'write in' is necessary, or several? And will it/they be obvious in some way?

Nest Time (Skies Turning Grey) New
The skies are silent and somehow that makes your scales chafe as you exited your nest. The cove was as you had left it, the sand a stunning white, the water a lovely shade of blue while remaining crystal clear.

Yet somehow it didn't seem welcoming anymore, the crystal clear water reflecting the sky. The sky that had been a vivid shade of blue you had copied many times in curiosity, clear since you had first seen it, was turning gray. The sand despite it's beauty wasn't warm with the sun's clinging glow.

Your scales shiver, a nervous clatter emanating from them as you changes colors in a show of nerves. Yet even as your nerves increase you set out towards the water. For the first time since you had found this place you examine the water for signs of a predator, unease pulsing under your scales, and over them in a continuous mismash of shades.

Still as you force yourself into the water and sink beneath it there is sense of being watched tingling in the back of your mind. Under the water isn't better, the fish are nowhere to be seen, The pink fish so fond of sun beams is absent. The strange fish that acted as one have completely vanished.

All of them have disappeared leaving the water with a silence just as eerie as the skies silence.

Your sister however, does not seem to have noticed. The only reason you spot her is that she hadn't bothered to shift her scales, a long stripe of purple visible from where she had covered herself in sand. Yet it still takes you a moment or two to find her position. You swish your tale behind you, slipping through the water as swim in front of her.

You shift your scales in a visual call for her to follow, but she doesn't respond. A chuff of irritation hides in your throat, before you simply smack her flank with your tail.

She burst out of the sand in shock, her head swiveling to find what had just happened only to stop when she spots you. Exasperation is all that exists under your scales as you realize that in the mere minutes you had taken to follow her, Morada had somehow fallen asleep.

Despite you best efforts the chuff bleeds through your teeth, light and low as the faintest bit of humor escapes you.

The chitter of annoyance your sister makes, only makes that wisp of joy gather more momentum. You wrestle the feeling down, as funny as it might be you had come here for a reason. You shift your scales in the same visual call to follow as you chirp out the same. As one you both turn to the surface and force yourself through the water.

Author note: Hello everybody! Been a bit since the last update, and as much as I want to go through my laundry list of reason for the absence. Well I'm not going to do that, you came here for the quest not whatever is going on in my life.

However I have been making plans, discarding others and even work shopping how the heck the quest will work out of Prologue. Though I will admit the only reason I thought to actually update this instead of losing myself in a constant loop of plotting how to improve this. Well It's because I had a weird dream of Morada chasing me down a hall screaming 'where my sister!'.

I wish I was joking about that.

Regardless I do have some thing s for you guys to vote on. Mostly Meta stuff that Azula couldn't realistically effect. For one I want to be sure on the timeline, I always kept it a bit vague since keeping dates straight was never something I was good at.

So option 1 Is that the hole prologue happened as it's already planned to. Over the course of little bit more than half a year. (about nine months) with this option by the time the prologue ends Azula is a bit bigger than a German Shepard. Which means a lot of hiding, lots of planning to take advantage of your human level intelligence in order to grow until you are an actual threat. A slightly Long Dark style quest with worries over finding food and water until you make a new nest.

option 2 is that the prologue instead happened over the period of about two years. With this option you are slightly bigger than a horse, and could be considered a capable predator. You won't have to worry about much, Besides T-Rex's, and raptors. Troodons are a threat but you are a much greater one and you could probably genocide them if you take advantage of all ecological confusion being released will cause. Some sneaking, some planning around dangerous issues, but the game becomes mostly sedate. Less Long Dark, more Minecraft. Until the Spino that is.

Time Line/Azula age vote
[] Half year

[] Two years

The Next thing to talk about is the Isla Nublar incident. A lot of people want to have fun there, and admittedly it is my favorite Jurassic Park Movie. So this one is a matter of when Hurricane Clarrisa hits in the overall timeline. Before the Isla Nublar incident, or after. If it's before there will be about five years before it happens so you guys can grow up and swim over.

If not then nothing really changes.

Hurricane Clarrisa Vote

[] Before Jurassic Park

[] After Jurassic Park

Then the final meta Matter.

Morada's death clock. So the original plan is for it to happen during the hurricane, making a very difficult problem even worse. Honestly I really like this option because it's been the plan since Before either character had finished char gen.

However Morada has grown on me so if you guys want I can move it up to happen during Nest Time Instead. To be frank it doesn't really change much from my point of view. From Azula's however it changes a lot, and it's much easier to save Morada. Still hard, but not to the point of needing a god level write in to win. Though depending on how things go, her living might actually be worse if things go off the rails. Regardless it happening during the Nest Time event fits since it was already building up the hurricane. So if you do it right you'll have everything done before the hurricane hits when Nest Time ends.

Morada Death Clock

[] Move it to Nest time

[] Keep it during the hurricane

So since the next vote in the Nest time event will be heavily influence by what you guys pick above, and I have no idea how many people will even come back to check on this. Well I'm not gonna put up a moratorium or when the vote ends, both because of the already stated reason but also because it'll happen in my free time. Free time that is not scarce exactly, but not reliably timed.

Though I will be updating mechanics of the system, things like how rolls will work, an update to the mutation system. Just a lot of stuff over the next few days.
