From the Hidden City (Warhammer Lizardmen Temple-City Quest)

Can't we just share the memories of wik teaching caledor? That... seems like it'd be sufficient proof of our claims.

Failing that, we know how their magic works don't we since we taught it to them, so we should be able to use that in some way.

If we can't do the memory sharing wik would presumably know habits or the like of the students he taught that should be known by others they could check against.

Of the sort that it would take Zlatlan centuries (at least over a millenia, frankly) to construct with the resources it currently possessed.

Is it wrong that I feel this is aimed at me and everyone else talking about colonising the world, and that I take a perverse pride in that.

[X] Show them the geomantic web.
[X] Ask Thyriol if you want to annoy someone with questions.

Show them a little so they believe us but tell them to go bother another warmblood if you want more answers, we have shit to do.

Joking:
Tell them about how Caledor Dragon-tamer used to cut his hair short, because it kept catching on fire. Check with Thyriol for confirmation.:V

Actually, sounds really cool. Is this workable? Boss
No, sorry. You both would need to trust each other a lot more than you currently do.

You can take pride in whatever you wish... but, no it's not.
Actually do so many truly not know of Wik training Thyriol and others, including Caledor himself?
You've never told anyone (that didn't have scales and a strong desire to bask in the sun), there was never any sort of rule or command to the elves Wik'keer'mal taught not to tell anyone, but he has sort of just assumed it wasn't a widely advertised fact. No elf has ever hinted at the notion.

But you don't really know what they do or don't know.

Well now I kind of want it just for the wow factor of training the guy who made the great alliance with the dragons, created the second Asur kingdom, greatest of Elf mages, who created the fucking Vortex.

Why do we care about convincing these warmbloods, tell them the truth and what does it matter if they believe us. We shouldn't compromise the geomantic Web for warmbloods just to convince them.

Because we're not compromising it.
Sort of? Specific 'functions' in the Web have such protections, as you could see in the update (though most are significantly less... active than here). Most of the Web (by volume of occupied space) is 'unprotected' though in the sense that it's just a lot of magical power flowing in specific ways and anyone with the time and energy to invest into tapping into it could without running into anything resembling security.

To be clear, you wouldn't be showing them the Geomantic Web in the sense of like... showing them the whole Web or point to the large collection of magical energy and going 'see, see,' you would be demonstrating the knowledge and capability you have interacting with the Web. In ways they should not be able to manage.

I personally believe that reducing, rather than increasing, the degree of ignorance these elves in particular or all elves collectively have about the lizardmen is probably a net long-term good for the world.

I think the elves are likely to do more damage through ignorance rather than malice.

The sooner they understand our superior knowledge the sooner we can fix the Vortex properly, even if it will still be centuries away.
