It also suggests that there might come a time when Lady Va might come to want him to do it "wrong". After all, their current environment doesn't have but so much in the way of cultivation supplies....

Now, don't get it twisted. I don't necessarily expect that it's going to happen. It would require a number of things to line up just right.
- She'd have to be seriously worried about her rate of cultivation, but be unable to acquire other more normal cultivation supplies
- She'd have to be unwilling (for one reason or another) to receive such assistance from her peers, for reasons that would not apply to Yon.
- Yon would have to be close enough to her in cultivation that she'd derive significant benefits from it.

...and this is complicated, of course, by the profound unacknowledged and unresolved semi-romantic feelings on both sides of that particular relationship. It's also going to be complicated by whatever her current social status is with the rest of the young core disciples. On the one side, by the rules that everyone was functioning under at the sect, she'd take severe status damage from even thinking about it. On the other side, the rules are very clearly different here (though we don't really know by how much for people at her level). Further, there are ways to gain meaningful and important status that are not beholden to the old rules in any way. Meanwhile, Yon is useful. He's valuable, and he's been becoming moreso over time, while also becoming less beholden to her. Most of the tools that she used before to ensure his loyal service are either no logner available or severely attenuated.

So... the possibility exists.
I imagine such a possibility will only be relevant after the cultivators are culled in the coming fight, people not going to have much time to cultivate until than, and for all they know, they are being sent to fight spirit beasts or something.

No one is actually that desperate yet I think, the sect did send resources until we left from what I saw, Yom got more than he expected really, he is getting nervous about resources because he knew they would leave the sect soon and because there is a measure of uncertainty in the future.

But practically speaking, the warp transit showed spiritual energy is available in some places.

I think the first battle will both cull most of us and show us our future prospects.

If no cultivation resources seem possible in sight, she might start looking for a lover to dual cultivate with, in a way, a peer might be worst for her because a peer might want equal dual cultivation, while her preference would likely be someone strong enough to dual cultivate with, but low enough in statue that he wouldn't refuse climaxing.

It was pretty much stated this update that we picked Cinder, ironically she won big time by sleeping with Yon, she is getting cultivation training, "pleasure" and probably avoiding being turned into chaos spawn by too much cultivator sex.

Doesn't he still need a source of semen?

Doesn't he still need a source of semen?
I think performing chemistry on his own semen will probably shift it far enough away from "recognized as himself" for him to use it in elixirs.

If it doesn't, using someone else's semen in an elixir that adapts the perfected future self it targets from the spiritual sources it comes into contact with seems unlikely to work, either.

He's not worth our time.

But if we decide to interact anyway we should make it worth our time.

"Good news Lady Va! I've developed an alternative recipe for the Dreaming Orchid Elixir using ingredients available locally! In a way that honors the Lotus Prince even"

1) One should not forgo an opportunity to make a friend, or a "friend".

2) We need Dual Cultivation Partners, and he stands to benefit just as much as we do from it, best not to burn a bridge.

3) Why not get a bit of personality going? A little banter never killed anyone.

Don't like this guy, but his sabotage was, quite frankly, not that important in the long run. He tried to interfere, we thrashed him and showed him that further escalation would be stupid. He didn't do anything stupid past that initial attempt. Not someone I'd trust for anything, but also not someone worth declaring as an enemy.
