Operation Weihnachtswunder (A CK2 Style Quest to Save Christmas!)

[X] Before you can make a selection, a man sits in the Chair of Solomon. He is wrapped in mummy wrappings, though you can see his eyes. He wears an Ankh around his neck, and a mask in the visage of Anubis. Jack and Krampus immediately burst into the room, but not to attack the man. No, they know him…

[X] Nicholas Brown (???) - Well, it'd be one way to get him away from his father, though it would be highly unorthodox. It'll take a lot of work and would be an uphill battle, but you think if you helped the boy, he could grow up to become a great person, and a great mage.

Santa should not lack a child's perspective

True, the 5 year old rule applies to non-evil people too, but long-term it probably wouldn't be a factor, since humans have this awkward thing where they age over time?
probably not going to be an issue in the quest for a huge while, but if we're the new Santa I'd imagine we'd be doing this for centuries in-universe, so that point won't always be a factor unless we're going to be really cruel and stop them aging somehow.

Perhaps more relevantly, we already have ignorance and want, I guess? and as a plus while they might not have a fully mundane perspective they do seem relatively with the times if they're using video recorders and stuff?

[X] William O'Shea (Secondary Stats - Diplomacy) - Some would say he was a violent terrorist during the Troubles. Others would say he was a proud freedom fighter, protecting the Irish people. But now, he's looking to be a man of peace, evoking magic from mana sources within the land. But what he's done still haunts him, and there are people on both sides who want him dead.

Hmm, tough vote.

[X] Yukawa Shiori (Secondary Start - Stewardship) - A miko or shrine priestess from Japan, she deals with divine spirits, blessings, and fortunes. Furthermore, she is friendly with many kami in her native Japan. However, she has also made a powerful enemy of a powerful Angel. One that seeks to damn her to Hell, and would not care about who gets in his way.

[X] Cassandra Copperbottom (Secondary Stat - Learning) - A fox spirit (not a kitsune) alchemist, she knows how to craft potions of all types, and can get a hold of rarer ingredients and equipment. However, she is very bad with money, and must never be left in a gambling hall. Or given a gacha game
    [x] Nicholas Brown (???)
[X] Jessica Good (Secondary Stat - Martial) - Ever want to summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon? How about casting a Channel-Fireball combo? Jessica uses trading card games as summons and spells, pulling them from fiction into reality! However, this can be draining for more powerful casts. Also, she does not take losing well.

I wonder how Saint Valentine is doing right now? He was the only other saint to have a world celebrated holiday like Saint Nicholas. News of his death might be hitting him pretty hard.

The Coat of Christmas New
The Coat of Christmas
(Legendary Christmas Artifact - Cloak)
Integrity: 1000
Damage Reduction: 5 (All) + 10 (Fire)

Stealth Suit - +5 Intrigue. +25 to all Stealth Rolls, double during the Holidays, quadruple during Christmas. You do not activate alarms or traps. Mundane cameras do not notice you or your actions. You pass all checks against mundane locks.

Like A Dream: Anyone with Occult less than yours does not remember a meeting with you, unless you want them to. Any memories they may still have is hazy, and can easily be explained away (such as a dream, a movie you saw once, or a drug trip, for example).

Living Cloth: The Coat is a living being that can act separate from you. It is treated as having 15 in All Stats, can fly and levitate, and can carry its wearer with no issue. It is loyal to Santa only.

Santa-Locked: Only Santa benefits from Stealth Suit and Like a Dream. Will only allow Santa to wear it outside of emergencies. Upon Santa's death, if there is no replacement, it will flee to the Germanic Dwarves.

??? - Perform Actions Beneficial to the Coat of Christmas

Hm. Waiting until the Holidays turn might be best for the Mary and Vixen rescue, but I'm not sure we want to let it sit that long.
EDIT: Like a Dream is seriously good though, considering how high our Occult is.

if things were in a vacuum/we had plenty of other available actions maybe, but an advantage of it happening soon is getting them out before anything bad can happen, which i wouldn't bet on not being an issue for the full year. it's hard to tell what midwinter would do exactly to consolidate, but searching for runaways is probably one of them

plus, as Christmas approaches there's nothing to say we won't have other priorities anyhow, or that opposing forces won't be on guard/cause problems

If Mary and Vixen are north of the Arctic Circle, we want to try and find them before the Vernal Equinox. We don't want to be trying to stealth around in the always-daylight, not even with bonuses.
