Earth Bet: House of the Sun (Cultist Simulator/Worm)

The perseveres, yes, but it also preserves life. It is undying and renders all around it more undying than they were before. The Heart itself perseveres, but it preserves all else where it can.

Not really incorrect language.

[X] Move Damsel in with Lady Mylissa
I'm honestly torn. But this… I fear this may be the best option for her…

I also don't want to put Ava through cleaning up all the stuff Ashley would inevitably break.

If our Patron wants to recruit the problem child then she'll have to put in at least a modicum of effort, this is genuinely the best opportunity the Society has to properly recruit Damsel and secure her full support. Shuffling her around through safehouses will stress and confuse her, which will make her feel helpless, which will pretty much guarantee a negative spiral.

Lady Mylissa has the charisma and air of commanding mystery to head that mess off, get her invested/inspired. While I admittedly do want to see our Patron at work in pursuit of The Work, this really is the best shot at the stated goal.

She's also one of the few things that can take what Damsel can throw out and laugh at it.

I have little doubt the mansion is fortified against things nastier than Damsel's power.

It's possible it could fail, but the greater risk for us is Damsel getting closer to lady Mylissa rather than us after all the work we put in.

[X] Move Damsel into a cult hideout

Yeah no you can bring up how our patron can handle whatever Damsel can throw at her or what a dandy role model she would be, thing is I simply don't trust the extra passenger(Shard) in their first meeting. Which you know, is actually interacting with the Mansus world.
I mean the Lady sort of hinted that she knew what was going on but.......
I think a more traditional cult recruitment protocol, taking it slow and steady with Damsel about the Cult world, will yield better long term results, instead of dropping her into the main hub of our Cult operations.

My main concern is that Damsel is extremely volatile, she's literally compelled to seek domination over her surroundings and she spirals at the slightest hint of failure. We can't do slow and steady because she's not allowed to do anything slowly and steadily. We've gotten a window of opportunity to make a choice while she's in complete disarray but I just don't think we have enough, dominance, to wrangle her once she's recovered enough to try and take control of her surroundings.

Damsel trusts us, yes, but she also automatically assumed that we were at her beck and call for the PRT attack. I don't think we're anywhere near "confidante" or any other sort of subordinate or even peer relationship. Damsel isn't allowed to think of someone else as her better in most cases, but I think Lady Mylissa can override that snarled pseudo-Mastery that yon Shard has created.

It's in her own best interests after all, stable servants are better than unstable ones.

I am in agreement that Damsel really needs someone around who can actually manage her, instead of being allowed to fall into one of her negative spirals by herself, which ends in her losing control of her Power, blowing shit up, pretending she meant to do that, and then running off. Like, we're already at Close Friend with Damsel, and we're on Lady Mylissa's good side between the work we've been doing for her and the way things turned out with Christopher, she has no reason to attempt to subvert any loyalty or trust Damsel feels towards us, not least because doing so would risk turning Damsel against the Cult as a whole for no real reason.

Shards are already interacting with the mansus, and if anything short of an hour can handle a single shard it would be a Name on their home territory. If Lady Mylissa didn't think she could handle Damsel this would not be an option. Remember Delilah is extremely loyal.

Suppose the shards see master and even understand something.
Well, what's wrong with that except that they will collect data?
This shouldn't even be their first time encountering Mansus's forces, as these forces are quite common in everyday life in a hidden form.

Okay, here's my thinking.
Having her stay with Lady Mylissa is high social risk (Damsel's need to dominate running into the wall that is the Lady), potentially high reward (Lady Mylissa might be the only person with a chance to truly wrangle Damsel).
Safehouses is high legal risk (Damsel might be spotted), low social risk.

Then there's the goblin element: I want to see how Damsel and the Lady interact.

It will be funny to me if this entire thing ends with Damsel in fancy dresses trying her best to imitate Lady Mylissa while also trying to pretend she's not trying to imitate Lady Mylissa.
