Operation Weihnachtswunder (A CK2 Style Quest to Save Christmas!)

[X] Jack Frost takes ownership of the Ring.

Seem good. Let's hope the strength this gives is enough to make back the Christmas Spirit we used for the bribe offering to the dwarves.

In part because I want the pigeons to stray from Odin imagery, but mostly because I want to see how the kids name their new familiars.

Shame the Intrigue bonus is wasted on our guileless ass. The tier-surmounting capability is almost too good to pass up.

So, have a small preview.

Stewardship: More Employees: 76 + 31 (Jacob Marley's Stewardship Bonus, Doubled via Spirit Boss) + 8 (The Halfway) = 115. Suffering From Success.

Stewardship: Shift Over.

"Ebenezer, do you remember how we agreed to have three shifts per day, and five days a week?"

You look up from your desk. You've been going over possible people to sit on the Chair of Solomon for the last few days. The benefit of knowing a lot of beings over the decades is you have a lot of choice. "Of course. It'll triple our toy output. Why? Did you not find enough spirits?"

"Oh no, quite the opposite actually. I may have found too many…"

--

"Ready to work, boss!"

"Please hire me, I've been bored for the last ten years!"

"It's either this or the colonies again."

"Is this heaven? Please tell me it is!"

Jacob just stares at the number of ghosts gathering towards him. He might have slightly miscalculated on the sales pitch…

"Actually, do we count as a type of heaven?" Jacob asks a question you would never have considered even a year ago.

It is somewhat amusing, but also somewhat sensible, that it is actually really easy to hire ghosts.

The lure of being able to do something, anything that actually affects the physical world again... they don't need any other pay than the opportunity to do the work.

Later on, they may also turn out to be terrifyingly effective soldiers if we need to fight. All the millions of war dead of World War II, all they need is solid hands to hold a gun again, and now they have no fear of death for they are already dead...

The image of Want and Ignorance charging about and directing their laser pigeons is too funny for words.

feels more classy/simple to buff ignorance/want than us directly, it's both simpler to give them each a bit of scouting/combat effectiveness than haveing even more attached to our stat sheet directly, and they might get more use out of it? it'd mean less micromanaging and means they're better able to do stuff, i guess?

for the ring, we probably need it more? in the rescue mission at least, i imagine it's best served covering for our flaws? (and the roll-boosting may be more convenient thematically when it's attached to the person making the team's rolls in the first place?
though after the rescue mission it may make more sense to give jack it as we probably won't be going out on as much stuff as them? so if that's an option in the future i'd probably vote for swapping when possible

Shame the Intrigue bonus is wasted on our guileless ass. The tier-surmounting capability is almost too good to pass up.
how's it wasted? i'd assume it'd end up boosting things the same regardless (adding +5 to rolls), at least on missions? might not do so if we're not making any intrigue rolls, but typically both the party leader and relevant hero add their stats to things?

I like scout ravens!

We're bad at intrigue.

So, reminder for what I need to do this week

Actually make the Omake Policy.
Stat out Old Bennett's statsheet
Finish Part 3 of Turn 1.
S L E E P . . .

Speaking of which, I'm heading to bed. Night!

That doesnt sound like something a villian would do at all! Its a good idea but miggght be a bit poor asteticly. "Santa leading an army of the undead against Jeff and amazon" doesnt vibe with the giver of gifts.

Simple and easy. The Ring being on Scrooge is tempting granted. But I think Jack will use it better. More information gathering feels key too.

Good morning! I have achieved sleep! *FFVII Victory Theme plays*

More seriously, going to at least get you Old Bennett's statsheet, and clean up the Faebane's a bit today. Stewardship section is ready, and there is a small bit between Jack and Blitzen I need to do for Lay Low. So right now, it's looking like Part 3 (With Occult Decision, and a decision on what to do about the Nicholas situation), Forges, Lightning. Lightning is going to be the big one, so that may take a bit of time to cook.

Edit: Actually, do you want me to do Stewardship / Lay Low by themselves, and make Occult/Nicholas as Part 4? Or get them out as one section?
