In 4e, the husband was killed by a random Asrai that has for some reason infiltrated the Citadel of Dawn and was so outraged at the presence of a trade in animals that she immediately murdered some guy who'd only just arrived in town. The inexplicable presence of a Wood Elf here on the tip of Lustria is a symptom of a larger problem in 4e, that they're scared of making players exert any thought or creativity whatsoever so they make the 'protagonist' races omnipresent. That way you don't have to do the few seconds of thought it would take to come up with a reason for why a Wood Elf is doing adventures in Lustria, because Wood Elves are just everywhere now.

(I particularly don't like to see this because it was a major reason why they blew up the setting in the first place - the higher-ups didn't like it that they had to come up with explanations for why Lizardmen and Tomb Kings and whoever else would turn up for drama in the Old World, and wanted to create a setting where convenient portals could open up between anywhere and anywhere.)
That thinking from higher ups makes little sense to me ( making it very easy to slide into the reason behind the end times) because to my knowledge both those factions have a simple enough answer answer why would be X place for both the war game side ( they are trying to reclaim some McGuffin or other objects that belongs to them) & roleplay side ( the players are going to them for a reason the GM/player come up with)

Maybe we can spur the creation of a whole new branch of dark magic.

By the principal of nomitive determinism, probably dhar + azyr.
What shape would that even take? Regular Azyr's already got curses for bad luck and weatherworking, so some variant of hexing or storm magics doesn't really feel like a sufficient divergence or inversion when introducing Dhar into the mix. I guess maybe something to do with pressure? Making the air so heavy and/or solid that flight becomes impossible and breathing is like trying to inhale molasses?

Rejection of fate that's already written. Standard azyr risks setting the future in stone when you prophecize too detailed, you toss in dhar for the power to go "fuck you that's not what's going to happen."

So you'd think, but from what I've heard having to come up with reasons for everyone to show up to Dark Shadows and Nemesis Crown and potentially other big story beats that never got off the ground was directly cited as a reason for doing the End Times.

To speculate a touch, the Skaven already have Warp Lightning and Howling Warpgale (plus Crack's Call if you consider it an adaptation from Cathay's view of Azyr as the Elemental Wind of Stone) but that's all very Elemental. That said, looking at the attitudes of those Skaven who work with Warp magic may be helpful. Playing into the technosorcery side, if Azyr is the wind of inspiration, perhaps Dhar + Azyr lends itself to something like mad science, flashes of insight that are unavailable and unrepeatable to anyone else. The Grey Seers, meanwhile, if you align them with the prophetic side of Azyr... Well, given the typical success rates of their plans, possibly prophecies of indiscriminate destruction, ones that bring harm down on the prophet as often as the target? Not sure.

Because I think they'll be the most efficient.

[X] Princess Aelsabrim Fallenstar

Because I want us to establish a habit.

Man they just don't make sense to me sometimes just like how they refuse to go into anything about the dinosaur elfs in their other setting

Making the Warhammer Fantasy world meaningfully, holistically worse in a long lasting way is a difficult challenge, but I'm confident that we can pull it off. :V
Meh, mucking things up is easy mode.
Making the Vampire Coast so cultured and sophisticated that the librarians have to shift the books over to the The Civilized Realms section is the real challenge.

When we have diplomats coming to look at our exhibits (without having to be kidnapped first) then we will know we are gotten somewhere.

Also if a romantic option comes up I will be pulling for the opera ghost (unless a cooler option shows up)

I hope we can start a new Elven Vampire bloodline with her.
Then when she rises Nagarythe from the sea we help her with New Sylvania/New Neo Lamia.

Do you think it's possible to do necromancy to daemons? I mean, Nagash may or may not have killed and raised the gods of Nehekhara, and they're all just warp entities.

I'm just saying, Skarbrand would make a pretty good exhibit.

Nah they don't got bodies no more & their souls get sucked back if they die
