I am going to lose to the toxic yuri and lure of extra info, but this is what I want to know because it seems most likely to explain what she actually wants from us.

I'd rather learn about what she wants in the now than pry into a relationship that's probably even more of a sore spot for her than the average sidereal.

Did Sapphiria seal Orchid?

Follow the Blue String: When you discover the nature of one character's feelings for another, you are able to follow the strand of fate connecting the two of them to find out how those feelings are returned, whether or not the second character is present.

I mean...I'm always interested in learning things about the fun ones.

Would Orchid do that

Just log on and try to bribe a heavenly official from carrying out her officially sanctioned duties, and then obstruct her when it doesn't work?

I originally came up with Precious-Sheltered-Orchid as an NPC ally for a Lunar I played, Akatha Junam Nyra, her granddaughter and god-blooded high priestess of the sage caste. After she Exalted, Orchid worked out a deal for her where she'd help cover up Nyra secretly being an Anathema and maintain her place in Clan Akatha in exchange for Nyra acting as her pet monster to deniably set on her enemies. While, of course, being in a position where if Nyra were found out, she could just throw her under the bus. Her own granddaughter, an Anathema? What a dreadful shock!

Does this seem like the kind of goddess who might try to get too clever with the wrong Sidereal and wind up in over her head?

Oh God must have been a funny conversation. When your stupidly luxurious bribe falls apart because the sidereal already owns a fancier version inherited from their past life.
 
…So what you're telling me is this goddess has accidentally set herself up with a deadman's switch in the form of a Lunar who was relying on her to play the social game on her behalf, and she's now well armed from the Goddess covering for her.
 
So we have a Lunar that recently lost her godly Patron.
And a Lunar whose Circlemates recently were killed when they tried to attack an der mportant imperial city.

I don't think they were her circle mates. According to Silver the Lunar was new. He'd helped those Solars out a few times before. She has lost a lover and allies however.

Precious-Sheltered-Orchid is a goddess of Prasad's Fecund Court and, as such, has both other spirits as allies and Exalted descendants who might offer assistance at need, regardless of whether or not this Lunar I used to play is in play in this story.

I try not to be too self indulgent when it comes to using my former PCs. It's worked out well in the past, but I try to be sure that it's a character who serves the needs of the story.
