[ ] Empyric Mapping Arrays
this might reduce, though probably not eliminate, the need for the astronomicon

[ ] The Spectral Language Initiative
Being able to use xenotech without fear of contamination would be a game changer though

…. 44 shouldn't be a concern? Right?
let me check

nurgle has 3 and 7 (3,7,33,77)
tzeench has 9 (so 99, and 9)
khorne has 8 (so 8 and 88)
slaneesh sacred number is 6 (so 6 and 66)

we didnt land on either so we should be fine
Dang adding more numbers to be Scared of. (or does the second thread mark need to be updated)
For our purposes, I think we only have to worry about 77, not 33.
It ain't, you are nowhere in Chaos Shitlist to have the Eye of Undivided. Now after the Third Enlightment? No guarantees.
And in this continuity, Nurgle doesn't have the Numeral of 3 under his thumb.
Someone else beat him to it. :V

I think I'll go with Mapping Array, not getting lost is nice... Though I wonder how that'll work with the thing about Immaterium transporting them through time? Hmm...
You guys got in the vote almost all that is needed to start the project right away, you just need the Odservationis for the Raw-Data.

>44. 4 by 4. Nah, there's no need to worry about it!

...as long as QM doesn't sneakily add in crossover, we should be fine! :V

I'm torn between improved warp mapping or understanding xeno computer systems, but I'll probably go for the second one. There are so many non-human species out there that have advanced enough technology to be worth our interest, especially the necrons and to a lesser extent the tau, that this is an opportunity we really can't waste. The fact this also allows us to understand dark age technology on a much more easier level and massively reduces the risk of potential corruption is a whole other level of benefit, and makes this too good to be true almost.

are both of these under the Enhance the Wards' Capabilities section of research, or is the former under the Question the Machine Soul section of research?
Wards protect, but the Machine Spirits are the ones that have the capability of wounding the Daemons Narrative.
Though that capability comes later.

Relax, that isn't the Hidden crossover. ~~(^W^)~~
especially the necrons and to a lesser extent the tau
Necrons will not be included in the Translators. They don't have full souls unfortunately.
And the Tau are still in their Stone Age.
massively reduces the risk of potential corruption
Reduces passive risk of corruption, yep. Massively or Active corruption? Nooot so much.

Joint Projects:

[ ] Empyric Mapping Arrays
Objective:
Develop a device that can map and predict Warp currents in real-time, allowing Explorator Fleets to travel deeper into uncharted space without being lost to the Immaterium.
Ætheric Role: Integrate PsyTech components into sensors to detect minor disturbances in the Warp, including the presence of entities or hidden phenomena.
Explorator Role: Develop long-range mapping protocols, enabling data from multiple ships to be aggregated into a dynamic star map of both the realspace and Immaterium dimensions.
This is useful less reliance on Navigators is nice (and Big-E will be interested) but as we are almost at the point of doing this (or something like this) without the project it loses some of its appeal. With luck we can do this later.
My opinion this is a contender for what we do here.
You guys got in the vote almost all that is needed to start the project right away, you just need the Odservationis for the Raw-Data.
We will get the chance to do the Empyric Mapping Arrays joint project again later if we don't take it this time right?

[ ] The Spectral Language Initiative
Objective:
Decode patterns in alien machine languages and esoteric signals, enabling communication with xeno-tech or pre-Age-of-Strife technology without risking corruption.
Ætheric Role: Develop runes and protocols that act as psychic dampers, preventing corrupted data from influencing Mechanicum systems.
Explorator Role: Apply archeological insight to decode ancient or xeno signal structures, helping identify technologies previously considered incomprehensible or too dangerous to approach.
This offers the Mechanicum a way to safe(ish)ly study whole loads of tech that ordinarily would be too dangerous to study and likely destroyed and thus that knowledge lost.
My opinion this opens up options that would other wise be lost or unavailable, I absolutely want it.

[ ] The Aetherium Gardens
Objective:
Establish research sanctuaries within Warp-affected regions, allowing the study of esoteric phenomena and rogue psychic energies in a controlled environment.
Ætheric Role: Build wards and containment fields to prevent immaterial contamination while enabling the study of dangerous phenomena.
Explorator Role: Establish self-sustaining research habitats that can survive in hostile areas for long periods, providing both observation points and recovery teams for rare phenomena.
Useful but seems like it is asking for bad things to happen as those places tend not to exist in those places by chance. So this sounds dangerous until we have stronger wards.
My opinion it can be quite useful and not just for study, it could be used to set up military watch posts in close proximity to those "dangerous phenomena" or shelters for people to hide in the event of... said "dangerous phenomena" coming to their world.

Wait so there is a Hidden crossover. Well that is concerning.

Poor Gardens. No chance getting there due some voters voting for the other options at the same time. Though that doesn't really help the individual counting otherwise.

Anyway, curious which between the Language or Mapping will win out...

Being fair, it does aid with that by virtue of "Brother, I don't care you think you have unravelled the secret of the Relic. The Wards have exploded, are on fire and are freezing everything around you. If you don't disconnect and undergo the Rituals of Cleansing I will be carrying out the Rituals of Purification on you using my trusty Plasma Cannon!"

As for the vote, the Gardens do sound great but sadly they really feel more of a Genetor thing for me. Maybe next turn then. :V

@Jackson Fox

"huh......how did i get here even, one second you fighting ice monsters, the next the tides of the warp send you across space....what...you guys wanna develop warp tech safely, sure let me lend a hand :) "
