This is not going to work. Long story short, his soul or spirit has.....petrified for the lack of a better word. Only a Working or the wish charm can effect him and he will refuse the second.

Would things like using Enunicia or Malleable Soul or flash cloning him a new body using our virtual time accelerated supernatural workshop help with a Stunt for the Sorcery, essentially as exotic ingredients or function like charms to give more rolls?

Also, when you say immediately offer, does it have to be absolutely immediate, or could we have him come with us for a little jaunt in the Warp to kill some daemons with PIO as exotic ingredient to fuel our sorcery?

also wouldn't he already have this?
IIRC he saw people use magic and went "hey, no one can outdo settra" and just willed himself to be able to do magic when he previously couldn't

He was a priest of the Nehekharan Gods who made a covenant with them, IIRC. They granted him magic (although he probably needed magical talent to allow them to channel their divine power through him).

Absolute immediate. Not snap your fingers quick but a day or so.

Enuncia is fine for z stunt. Tech? No.

Stunt gives more dice to convince him. Ghe sorcery roll is only if you convince him first so Stunt speaking about the mask or something else. Describe the ritual and what you can offer him but not actually doing it.

You would also need to vote on thd other choices. Can write in a Stunt for the bonus dice as well.

Added both. This is what it looks like, leaving the original with the Xs there so as not to confuse the tally.

[] Plan Motivation and Reward Exalted Sorcery Version
-[] We offer him the chance to show his might, to slay a necromancer so mighty that he is the middle of slaying the very soul of our world to raise is as an undead mockery of what it once was.
-[] We offer him the chance to live again, imperishable and divine
-[] Fate is a Pendulum ever seeking balance, as the Shard of Winter seeks to immerse this world in death so does the potential of life denied hang upon him like a sword of judgement, though he is too skilled a sorcerer to let it tumble by mischance. Reach out a hand and bring it down, upon its point may Setra be reborn. Keth, fate transformed.

So, the stunt needs two parts one about the Shard of Winter being a great and terrible necromancer who chained the powers of the Chaos Gods to try to taint our lands and our entire planet with Undeath, and that we go to fight him to prevent him succeeding. Also say that this necromancer claims dominion over both the living and the dead and wishes to rule over all existence. Settra doesn't tolerate rivals.

We could even stunt that we see a spark of recognition in his eyes, and say that the Warp is a place of narratives, so our path may have lead to him because something about our situation resonates with him. Yet despite that this is a barrier that the Shard has put in our way to hide from us, and he seeks to use you as his unknowing shield.

Second, to demonstrate that we are capable of what we claim. Use our craft charms to turn some of the 'sand' beneath our feet into a glass sculpture of a hawk and then use Keth to make it into a living creature and let it fly into the sky. Say like just like we gave the hawk the winds to fly, we can give him a living, yet still immortal body.

That uses the environment so should count as a two die stunt.

Good thought, added

I think the hawk works a lot better given the physical metaphor of the wings and flying.

Also, I think the bit I edited in has potential. Settra doesn't tolerate rivals and would hate being made into someone else's instrument, and he'd want to punish them for trying.

We want him to sympathise with us to the degree he's able, to impersonally see the Shard as a rival, and be personally outraged that the Shard tried to reduce him to an obstacle.

As an unswerving servant of the master, one cannot genuinely wish for success here, but one can admit that the devised plan to... coax Settra is certainly eloquent and silver-tongued.

Darn I think you are right about that hawk but I really wanna make that Brendon Frasier's Mummy reference :V
*changing*
As for the rival thing, I think pointing out that it's a necromancer who wants to kill the world should give him enough PTSD, no need to butter him up more and we really do not want him in a conquer everything mood.

Edits done.

So, I think the pendulum thing won't work in Settra. Also, I think we need to hammer the Nagash parallels.

[X] Plan: It's Nagash in a fake mustache!
- [X] We some before you because we face a threat to all. Today he seeks to curse our world and raise it as an undead mockery of what it was. Tomorrow, I believe, he seeks to claim dominion over all, both the dead and those yet to die. He is a coward though, he seeks to use others rather than fight himself. Here, now, he seeks to use you - to make of you his shield. Come with us and we shall punish him for his presumptions. Let him be the one who kneels.
- [X] But we do not come before you as beggars, offering nothing but our pleas. Consider this: reach down with your hand and throw a large lump of sand in the air, then use MHM backed by craft charms to melt the sand into liquid glass and then condense it into an articulated (moving joints) glass sculpture of a hawk, and use MHM to make it fly around. Consider the hawk. Beautiful, yes. Its wings beat. But does it truly live? No. But this's Ise Keth to transform the glass hawk into a living one, and cast it up into the air so it soars up into the sky under its own power. This is life. This is what I offer. In return for your magnanimity in coming with us to craft down this usurper, the necromancer I will first perform a working to make you live again, as glorious as you were when you first wore living flesh, if not more.

Fine I'm not that attacked to it, changed it over. Any thoughts on what Gifts and Mutations Thallessa should have equipped? She only has seven charms so those are locked in.

Good night all. See you tomorrow.

And it goes without saying, vote will be open longer as this is going to change a lot of things.

This is what the plan ended up looking like including the load up for our newest demigod

-[] Thalasssa
--[] Attribute+Ability: Mental Primary Physical Secondary
--[] Mythos Powers (7/7)
---[] Death of a Thousand Cuts
---[] Invisible Means Undodgeable
---[] Supernatural Sensitivity
---[] Race Against the Clock
---[] Hammerspace
---[] Instant Diagnosis
---[] The Sleepless
--[] Gifts (7/7)
---[] Malleable Spirit
---[] Release from Bondage
---[] Iron Resolve
---[]Ghost Touched
---[] Preternatural Awareness
---[] Apecraft's Blessings
---[] Gaia The Machine God's Toolbox
--[]Archeotech Implants (7/7)
---[] Artifact Exoskeleton (3): Enhances Physical rolls by adding a x6 modifier. By committing one Essence, Thalassa can render herself immune to one of the following for the scene, to be declared at the start.
---[] Infinite Prana Reactor(1): She regenerates one Essence or one Willpower per 15 minutes of rest and has unlimited power for various energy using tools like Las weapons and other implants.
---[] Transhuman Potential (Mental): Gains -4 Difficulty on her primary Specialization or -2 on her secondary specialization.
---[] Integrated Armor (1): 10 dice + 5 automatic successes on soak rolls.
---[] Integrated Weapons (1): Allows the use of Heavy Weapons at the best configuration (Max Accuracy and damage with no Penalty. Can also freely switch between lethal and non-lethal damage).

Reasoning
  1. We need her for her smarts and doing spooky things to tech more than for her combat power so I focused her there with a secondary focus in murder
  2. Charms were easy, she only has 7 of them total, take all of them
  3. Gifts I went for things that we might use giving Setra a Makeover on the reasoning that if this takes a day we should have six more hours to swap up to combat... but I also put preternatural awareness in there since that is very strong protection with some of her implants
  4. Take the Artifact, it is too versatile to ignore even if it costs 3 slots
  5. She needs a reactor for obvious reasons, it is the only way she can respire Essence
  6. Transhuman potential both to work with the tera-forming machines and because that applies to preternatural awareness, it is not a multiplier on success, it is a reduction in difficulty which is very nice since the base difficulty is seven
  7. I got her armor to keep her save instead of four more health levels on the reasoning that it is better to have 20 equivalent dice of soak than 4 health levels after said soak. Each soak is worth about half a health level for things that can be soaked. Some things of course can't, but those generally can be dodged and she is built for that as well
  8. Integrated weapons so she actually packs a decent punch in combat

This is a compromise built that is meant to get to the machines turn them on and defend in the meantime.
