Is- are the Ragna-Mails that much of an issue rn? At least I suppose we'll probably be getting one of 'em, so that's one more machine to field

The base reason given most of the time is that Super Alloy Z is hellishly heavy for its divine levels of defense, so most Mobile Suits would be land bound or even just crushed under it.

Honestly, I am a little surprised that you what Embryo is mentioning here hasn't clicked the pieces into place on what is happening at this moment.

I have like- zero context for most of what goes on with Embryo zxmcnbvxc
Barely any context for the non-Gundam/non-Code Geass/non-ME stuff either cvzvxc
Like- some of the stuff I know some scenes of and whatnot, maybe some technical stuff, but nada on the plotlines for a bunch of things for example
Sooo- yeah, that's me
Maybe the others have a better idea of it?

If it's Embryo, I'm worried he's got his reality warping song stuff going on.

Which I'm also kinda worried about because he knows Ryouko Sakurai, AKA Fine.
 
I've got no idea. Just that it's probably some kind of mad science, and has a high chance of blowing up dramatically or getting loose or otherwise becoming a problem specifically while we're visiting.

Sounds like what I remember of Mana/Dragunium from Cross Ange, where Embryon converts Dragons into crystals to power important stuff or something?

I'll admit, some of the details of cross ange go over my head.

That is entirely fair, but since some of this is going to be explicitly brought up in the next update, so I will refrain from explaining until then if no one manages to piece it together by then.
 
I just know that by the probability laws of protagonist arrival, the chances of something dramatic happening while we're here are basically 100%. Especially given that they're testing a prototype mech.

The only questions are how much of the station will be on fire within the next few hours, and whether or not we steal the prototype mech.

These three options are the big ones. Everything else he's either not interested in or wants shut down. These three are the ones he explicitly notes that he's been working on or is trying to take credit for, so its fair to say they're his focus.

1) A focus on Phonic gain, namely Symphogear tech. The fact that it lines up with Photon Power leads us to the Mycenae/Ancient civilisation.
2) The MMI. Something connecting a persons mind to technology. Useful for creating a new system like the Ragna Mail (which, in cross Ange, also use Music as a Power Source)
3) Quantum Cryptography, a form of communication that can't be disrupted by Minovsky tech. Useful for, say, transmitting something like a Song.


I'm not sure of the specifics of his goals here, but I think he's trying to use this research in order to Broadcast some kind of song from a Ragna Mail, possibly trying to find his own way to get around the curse of Babel? Whatever it is, signs seems to be pointing towards something in that direction.
