I'm putting up 2 Marker veto pairs on offer for Masked. Tag me with your vote change if you're interested. To clarify, someone who takes my offer can call on me to vote with them once and I get one refusal on that marker.

In my opinion the Angel is utterly not worth it. Look how completely disconnected from anything resembling the human condition as we know it they are. Having to spend a good chunk of time trying to comprehend basic things (for anyone not in a Utopia) does not appeal to me.

Yeah but I just want to play something outside the norm for once. Also just genuinely like being a good person.

I do see the appeal of Mask; it allows us to more fully customize a character and gain a versatile powerset from the start. However, there is one near deal-breaking flaw for me: the Masked character starts off grievously wounded. Being crippled at the start means we will be severely constrained in our actions right when the quest's momentum is most important. It prevents us from pursuing proactive plot threads; instead we have to monofocus and acquire healing ASAP, which means the character's start will likely be less interesting. This can be a fatal blow for both quest interest and narrative momentum.

Moreover, it opens up the risk of death spiraling if the character's first few rolls don't go well. I don't want to invest a large amount of effort and resources into a character who can so easily be curtailed by mere chance.

Angel, on the other hand, is flexible enough to realize most of what we want - this single vote is very important, but our ability to sculpt the character's actions and the Angel's own versatile magic set means we retain freedom of both development and action. It doesn't begin wounded, and has high starting stats allowing for great latitude of action.

It's also a great window into worldbuilding lore as the inherent contrast between Shekinah and the greater multiverse means we will more acutely witness the flaws and unique traits of each world encountered. A rugged survivalist like the Griever would ignore all but the most wretched of atrocities whereas the Angel will strive to correct even modest injustice. This opens the door for a wide variety of interesting character interactions, and the fact that the Angel's perspective is both simple and unique makes it easy to characterize for both players and QM.

[X] Angel

Can I get you to vote for femboy/himbo angel I'll add griever and Ex-Kratocrat to my vote
Hmmm, I already have a Masked voter who did the same thing. I'll tell you what: Whichever faction has, or agrees to switch to upon my voting for their option, the most combined votes for Griever and Ex-Kratocrat, in roughly four hours, will get my vote. Please state you have or are willing to switch your vote, otherwise I'll just assume you like both options.

I addressed this some time ago, but we can trade our masks for care, healing and such. There's a chance that we might get taken advantage of, of course, but as long as we execute properly our healing should come along smoothly, and as mask trading is something we wish to do regardless, it merely serves as introduction to a mechanic.
In comparison Angel's initial disposition is much harsher and harder to deal with condition. How much will we have to plan ahead, to avoid our character rushing headlong in mortal danger despite our wishes? How much are we going to wrestle our character around against his own genuine wishes, instead of playing alongside them? It just sounds very tiring.

If we are doing masks we should not fucking be doing it with the mindset of getting stuff we gave up on. Like this isn't even a comment against masks by the way don't try and get stuff from the other starter choices for our build please try and play something else than being a worse version of the others.

So for those who are voting for both of the top winning options could you please change? Like I'd prefer you to vote angel but voting for both does sorta diminish any actual affect on the vote. Maybe roll a coin please?
