Gundam SEED Rebuild - Time Travel Fix-it Quest

Instead we get Athrun who goes by the lame name of Alex Dino and he just swear a pair of shades. Not even putting an effort of a disguise.
In fairness there were like two other Quattros in that show. "Alex Dino" was a decoy.

It's not the only gundam thay dies stuff like that. Wing has Heero survive point blank self destruct and universal century new types are gods.
I take exception to the UC comparison. People actually die when they're killed in UC, barring one or two ambiguous cockroach moments from Char.

Heero though yeah that man's just invulnerable.

I mean. It's Gundam. It's *Gundam*. Expecting that level of realism is foolish.
Yeah, Gundam is a Super Robot pretending to be Real Robot in a nutshell. Tomino never left his Super Robot roots when he began his career of creating those shows.

Most infamously, Zambot 3.

Mu La Flaga is apparently one and probably all his clones.

He was never called out with the term in-universe, but out-of-universe the series director said he was one and he is shown to get the flashes. He also gets the Newtype ability in a number of the video games.
Surprised that Mu La Flaga wasn't mistaken for Coordinator for having Newtype abilities in his career before and after his brainwashing by LOGOS.

God I wish the purple haired titan guy got hulk smashed Scorpio or something
Paptimus Scirocco the Man from Jupiter is quite a formidable Newtype that even when dying he gave brain damage to Kamille Bidan who defeated him as an act of spite.

And that he is the only Jupitarian man who joined Titans despite their anti-Spacenoid stance with his Jupitris ship where he singlehandedly handmade his own custom mobile suits to deploy and use.

... I seem to recall that was backlash from what Kamille did rather than anything Scirocco did. At least most of everything I've seen portrays it that way.

Didn't he also brain wash himself a harem

No really, Scirocco was spiteful after Kamille rammed him to death with Zeta Gundam's pointy end of its Waverider Mode.

He's the reason why Kamille became a vegetable to the despair of Char after seeing his protege and the son he never had (thanks to Haman Karn killing Natalie and their unborn son in Deleted Affairs) in that state.

Scirocco's plot was to take over Earth Sphere and have a woman be its puppet queen while he govern from the shadows.

Sarah Zabiarov was that queen.

Ah. Right. I know why I'm saying that. What you said doesn't happen anymore, not since Zeta: A New Translation. (.. which runs into the "OK, cool, how do you handle ZZ then?" problem, I suppose.) And SRW's use that, and that's where most of my post Zeta UC stuff comes from.

Ah I see.

There is a fanfic goldmine potential to explore what happens after Zeta: A New Translation. Like what happens if Kamille avoided his canon fate and Char stays with the AEUG to fulfill their purpose of reforming the Federation as originally intended before they put that in the backseat in favor of defeating the Titans.

I'm flip floopimg between doing the Astray thing and taking an alliance gundam. With the new observations, if we can sit back and keep the gundam or an orb place nearby I'd be more in favor.

I haven't gotten far enough in my rewatch but what happens to the Astrays after the colony?

Basically would we still get to access them?

gina runs of with the gold, red ends up with the people who save kira after his fight with athrun when everyone thinks he died, blue ends up with a merc who is employed by garcia, green ends up with gina's sister mina and I cant recall what happened to the last 1
so I do think this is our only real chance of getting one of the 3 operational astrays (gold, red, blue and this only if helioplis is destroyed like in cannon)

Gundam Astray: Hyaku-Shiki Frame is a go!

Wait... [ ] Plan: A Lioness Protects - Astray Route Is [ ] Derail Cannon HARD tho... Okay, there are many reasons why we should not go the Astray route. So do you want Captain Badgiruel because this is how we get Captain Badgiruel... Wait... No... Noooo..... Captain Mu La Flaga... The real issues are a dead Ramius and Lowe not getting the Red Frame, which might fuck us on some of the good stuff tech-wise. (There is a good argument that the strike rouge AI is Lowe and 8's work, civilian mobile suits(Raysta, DSSD Astray, and maybe even MS parts of the Stargazer gundam(They got some stuff From DSSD so maybe?))) It's a choice, one I would avoid for different reasons.

  • Kill Rau le Creuset (least plausible by an order of magnitude but it WOULD solve a lot of problems if a miracle happened)
No, he nearly got killed during the first battle, we just got to make it permanent. Make sure he can't scamper back onto his ship.

your making the assumptions that they will end up in the original places if we do nothing with the astrays, helioplis might not even be destroyed which means the 4 non gold astrays stay (cause gina is still gonna run of with it if he gets his way I bet) in one place orb all in gina and mina's hands

I'm fairly sure Ramius is going to be shot dead by Athrun... Wait no not shot, knifed to death by Athrun after shooting her. Heliopolis will most likely get destroyed if we don't force the battles outside the colony. At minimum maybe don't give the launcher pack to Kira. Not a good idea for inside the colony battle.

[X] Plan: A Lioness Protects - Archangel Route

Okay, so switching one last time.

Argument: After the heist, and Miguel's death, theres a lull of...unclear lenght. We could maybe use that time to grab a suit from morgenrate. We would then be able to assist Kira...if only as a defender of the colony itself or something.

Okay, the better question is how many points to awaken Murrue. We will need to avoid Alaska anyway.
Cagalli will learn that once she met her. :V

Presumably our primary objective here, given that we're starting almost a year into the first war
Feels only appropriate to match the original story, given that it's where the Gundams make their debut to the world. In universe wise it's where Aplodia can begin to influence things.

Originally expected the Heliopolis arc to be a quick intro to set and optimize the mechanics and pacing. It's taking somewhat longer than I expected (o_o) Will prolly have a general long term objective poll to establish which way they want to go after Heliopolis.

What about Compass organization?
Still haven't watched the movie yet so can't tell how it's characterized for now (/ _ ; ) Hopefully it will be available to my area soon. That said, it's not necessary to emulate the canon if you think there are better options as a third party NGO. (If decide to go this route)

Thank god this isn't one of those anime where people have to pee.
*Reconguista in G G-Self intensifies*
I think it took two to three days from PLANT to Alaska in Freedom in canon

Also, Mu probably doesn't need much protecting, he's Mu.

Odds that he dies early are highly similar to the odds of Rau dying early. For obvious reasons.
The real issues are a dead Ramius
I should have mentioned earlier that this quest will employ gratuitous use of plot armor in honor of the spirit of Seed. Sorry(o_o)
Important characters, decided by a non transparent and not necessarily fair process, will be difficult to kill. Of course they can still die, but it would usually take several consecutive votes and specific actions/non-actions in order to kill them.
Edit: but don't rely on this. It might or might not put characters into difficult situation to recover from. :V
