Oh yeah, Half-Coordinators are a thing and they were featured in the Gundam SEED side stories.

True, and also I recall Blue Cosmos used to be an environmental pressure group but they changed to hating Coordinators and end up as pawns of LOGOS taking advantage of their one track agenda as their attack dogs.

There is another reason that is not mentioned... And that is not religion and it's not xenophobia. The Blue Cosmos ideology is popular due to the class divide. First Gen coordinators we're basically made by rich parents looking for perfect children. And well a lot of people did not get that chance. The space colonies good be seen as another way to flaunt their wealth, while basically polluting their blue and pure earth in order to build these expensive vanity projects.

So yeah the class divide does not help. Add onto that certain religions might forbid such alterations and you get lot's and lot's of support for Blue Cosmos by the majority. Because they aren't preaching genocide, their preaching: "EAT THE RICH!"
 
To be fair, PLANT did destroy the nuclear energy sector across the earth sphere, sending the entire world into a cripling energy crisis...except that doesnt count because VALENTINE had just happened so fuck Blue Cosmos! Seriously, the magic bullshit that is N-Jammers should have ended the war RIGHT FUCKING THERE. Then again Fusion was still possible so...how do NJs stop the use of hydrgen bombs again?

Edit: Also with the CEs laser and battery tech, fusion reactors should be a thing? Then again i think all ship run on fusion? Its just that the tech isnt very miniaturizable perhas?

The fact that Blue Cosmos/LOGOS has the needed know-how to make Cyber Newtypes's(Not Extended, they literally surgically figured out a way) makes me think. Technically Kira did become a newtype later, at least fully. Cagalli... Has very little space combat experience. Makes you think.

Oh nuclear is great at baseloads, but interestingly the PLANT's were a major provider for the energy sector prior to it's independence. So N-jammers we're only an icing on the cake. Tho one of the major reasons for independence was that the PLANT colonies were in an energy crisis due to a terrorist attack by Blue Cosmos. LOGOS really did make bank on that one.

    We're trying it because it doesn't take much time and if it works we shortcut the rest
     
    God we really just squeaked on by those DCs, ominous start.

    Edit: nvm, if i understand the mechanics, we come out to 22.5 so we failed that pretty hard. This is starting out great!

    At least we get to bring this up when he gets mad at us for running off and we somehow save the day...hopefully. with these dice i fear for this quest.

    Time to Gundam jack. How much to mercenaries cost anyway? The Kusanagi should be in place for a jacking attempt... I wonder if we can just email Kira and try and get a barely functional natural OS out of him... Nah too unsecured... Stealing the Kusanagi and some M1 Astray's should be... fairly hard, especially the fact we need to sneak/rush them onto a different island.

    Production Astray's are already built and ready... They just have the junk OS that all the gundam's had.

    I don't know if the Junk Guild would willingly take a politically charged high profile theft job. Serpent Tail might for likely a bazillion bucks we don't have.

    Honestly our biggest power is likely found in some degree of delegation and awakening other memories, provided we have no compunction over the ego death of the characters we mind upload future versions of themselves into.

    Best bet might just be to book it to Heliopolis and see what opportunities are available.
     
    Considering our options... Ugh... We might have to blackmail and Inform Erica. I think Cagalli might be able to hijack the Kusanagi, but the biggest and most glaring issue. Is loyal manpower.

    ... We probably have, due to future knowledge access to funds that Uzumi would probably not want us to access.(I.e likely Athha family fund) We might be able to hire Serpent Tail. We will just be in even more trouble.

    Bait the Junk guild into this mess, beat up a professor for information, find Kira, hijack either the G weapons or the Astrey's, Ambush the Boyfriend/Bodyguard/Husband.
