Work was busy yesterday and I didnt have time to update 😔

Day 38: A Lair Collapses
With the mortal ladybug currently besieging the area, you decide that it would be prudent to continue expanding your shelter. After all, you've had such an abundance of food that you'd started storing it outside.

Your industriousness leads you to finishing the structure in almost no time at all, even making some headway into creating a third room.

However, a small tremor causes part of your abode to collapse, exposing your once warm home to the elements. It was certainly through no fault of your own-- Simply bad luck that you had dug through a particularly weak patch of dirt.

Regardless, you'll have to spend a day reinforcing that part of your lair.

Expand your meager Shelter 27/30 > 10/40

You are no longer wounded.
You have 1 fungus farm which will produce 1 food in 4 turns.
Part of your shelter has collapsed, letting in the elements. You will consume .1 more food per turn.
You have consumed 1.1 food, bringing your total to 4.5 food.
You have gone 3 days without churning your Qi. If you go 4 days without churning your Qi, your Qi will disperse, setting you back to the Initial 1st Realm of Qi gathering.

Select 3 actions to be taken over the next 3 turns

[] Try to salvage food from the ruined colony (1/10)
[] Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)
[] Clear away the Ladybug's scent (0/?)
[] Try to expand your meager shelter (10/40)(You cannot expand your lair until you fix the collapsed area)
[] Fix the collapsed area (0/??)
[] Work towards expanding your fungus farm. (5/40)
[] Purge the Poison Qi from your Meridians (0/?)
[] Cultivate the Poison Qi (0/?)(Spends 10 Cultivation XP per action)(Gains 1 Poison Qi per completion)
-[] (Why would you do this? Are you a suicidal ant?)
[] Try to get a feel for the mysterious energy surging within you (Initial 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 26/60)(You cannot cultivate in your lair without first getting rid of the black tarry substance)
[] Cultivate outside your lair (Ladybug will attack. You cannot retaliate.)
[]Seek out Qi Vein (0/???)
[] Deposit the black tarry substance just outside your lair (0/??)
[] Deposit the black tarry substance far from your lair (0/??)(Medium chance of encountering ??? Level predator. Predator encountered will fight to the death)
[] Train the (QiBlood) technique, Qi Burst (Initiate 0/???)
[] Train the (Lightness) technique, Beetle Charge. (Initiate 0/???)
[] Try to integrate into a new colony (0/??)
[] Take over another colony (0/???)

Unless you all want to drop a cultivation realm, we're going to need to cultivate immediately. And eat an attack from the ladybug.

Which we were gonna do anyway until we got interrupted. So once more with feeling.

[X] Plan Begone Bug
-[X] Cultivate outside your lair (Ladybug will attack. You cannot retaliate.)
-[X] Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)
--[X] Beetle Charge
-[X] Fix the collapsed area (0/??)

Killing the ladybug is higher priority than fixing the shelter because it can give us food to help tide us over our shelter being destroyed. RIP

What is the current Qi burst cooldown?

[X] Plan Claw to Mandible Life
-[X] D39: Cultivate outside your lair (Ladybug will attack. You cannot retaliate.)
-[X] D40: Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)
--[X] Beetle Charge
-[X] D41: Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)
--[X] Beetle Charge

7 more turns. I just didnt include it in the update because only one turn has passed

This is good, but we need to finish off one thing at a time. Kill the Ladybug, then fix the collapsed area.

[X] Plan Claw to Mandible Life

-[X] Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)

The last Ladybug we fought had 50 HP and was in the Initial Small Realm of the First Real of Qi Gathering, so since we know Small Realms are worth 10 HP each, this non-cultivating ladybug probably has 40 HP.

The expected value of one attack with a beetle charge plus another regular attack is: 10.5 + 6 + 10.5 + -3 + 6 + 10.5 + 6 = 46.5 HP

What I'm saying here is that we probably don't need to do the second beetle charge essentially. It depends how much we want to hedge against needing to spend an extra day killing this thing if we roll poorly. Given we're going to be injured already by the Ladybug, I'd like us to spend less time healing I think? It begins to be problematic if we're at lower HP and get another predator showing up, which given these dice...

[X] Plan Heaven Can't Keep Us Down
-[X] D39: Cultivate outside your lair (Ladybug will attack. You cannot retaliate.)
-[X] D40: Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)
--[X] Beetle Charge
-[X] D41: Get rid of the Ladybug (0/50)

?? on fixing the lair, then 30 progress on expanding it, then 35 progress on the second fungus farm.
Pain.
[X] Plan Begone Bug
Unless after fixing we need to redo the expansion:
There is one 30 progress hurdle too many in your summary.
But we could just cultivate outside, turn the foe into a snack and then join a different colony.
No ant is an islands.
[X] Plan Claw to Mandible Life

The HP is right there in the action? It's 50 HP. As I understand it.

Wait, lmao, you're right, it is. I even copied that out in my plan! Maybe the Initial Small Realm does not add to a predator's HP? Or this is just a really swole Ladybug haha

In that case:

[X] Plan Claw to Mandible Life

We need the second Beetle Charge or we'll most likely be spending an extra day on this.
