Day 37: An Earthworm Slain, a Ladybug appears
Tam Lin
The Evolution QM
You leave the matter of the earthworm for now. Although pressing, it's not as pressing as the threat of your cultivation dispersing.
As it happens, while you're cultivating outside, you happen upon the traces of a predator. The lingering scent of the cultivator ladybug must have attracted another ladybug.
Thankfully this time, the newer ladybug is a non-cultivator. There's still the running risk of it becoming one if it consumes your cultivation gunk, but that risk is but a fleeting thought.
After all, cultivation gunk is mostly waste- the things that make you a less efficient ant. An ant's weakness. Perhaps the scent of ant-weakness and the scent of another ladybug is what attracted the new predator, but since it's a non-cultivator, it can only be courting death.
However, as minor as this inconvenience is, it still affects the speed of your cultivation. After all, the previous ladybug's scent continues to linger...
Initial 2nd Realm of Qi Gathering 20/60 > 26/60
You have 1 Poison Qi flowing in your meridians. Predators are repulsed by you.
You currently have 60/60 HP. You are no longer wounded.
You have consumed 1 food, bringing your total to 1.6 food.
You have 1 fungus farm, which will produce food in 2 turns.
The day after, you decide to take care of the earth worm. Not in the literal sense of nurturing it, but rather, attacking it.
The earthworm is dumb and blind, and can only detect the vibrations of the earth around it. Thus, it was unaware when you started attacking it with Qi-enhanced bites
Rolled a 14+6 Battle Power+3 Qi Burst technique=23 vs Earthworm's battle power: 3
Earthworm Damage: 0/50 > 23/50
Roll is beyond the Earthworm's capacity to overcome
The mortal earthworm is helpless from your Qi-enhanced attacks, thus it could only slither away helplessly. Although you know it would soon be back-- after all, mortal earthworms are exceptionally stupid.
You have consumed 1 Food, bringing your total to .6 food.
You have 1 Fungus Farm, which will produce 1 food in 1 day.
You have gone 1 day without churning your Qi. If you go 4 days without churning your Qi, your Qi will disperse, setting your cultivation back to the Initial 1st Realm of Qi Gathering
Your prediction is proven correct when the Earthworm once again wanders into your unfinished room.
As you cannot use your Qi Burst technique so soon after you used it last, you instead expend some vitality to increase your speed.
This has the side-effect of increasing the viciousness of your bites.
Rolled a 16+6 Battle Power=22
Earthworm Damage: 23/50 > 45/50
Roll is beyond the Earthworm's capacity to overcome.
Beetle Charge activated
Rolled a 12+6 Battle Power-3 Beetle Charge= 15
Earthworm Damage: 60/50
Thus, with your enhanced speed, the earthworm is turned into fuel for your metaphorical furnace, granting you 5 food.
For slaying the Earthworm, you have been granted 5 food, bringing your total to 5.6 food.
You are wounded and will consume *1.1 more food per turn. You will heal 6 HP every turn regardless of your hunger level. You currently hahve 56/60 HP
Your Fungus Farm produces 1 food, bringing your total to 6.6 food.
You have consumed 11 food, bringing your total to 5.5 food.
Your inventory is beyond the capacity of your lair to contain (15.6/15) Predators will consume 1 food each per day (Total of 1), until your inventory is within capacity. Expand your shelter, downsize your inventory or slay predators to remove this penalty.
You have gone 2 days without churning your Qi. If you go 4 days without churning your Qi, your Qi will disperse, setting your cultivation back to the Initial 1st Realm of Qi Gathering
