You continue your battle with the ladybug, confident that you can overpower it with your movement technique.

Activating Beetlecharge, you pay it in vitality. You can feel the technique enhancing your movement

You run circles around the ladybug, slashing with the sharp points of your legs. Your technique allows them to be enhanced with Qi. While Beetle Charge's main attribute is speed, powering your legs with qi still allows them to sheer through the ladybug.

The ladybug is rendered limbless and flightless with your skilled attacks.

Additionally, now that you're not constantly bombarded by the black substance's stench, you realize that your Qi sensitivity is much greater than it was at the first layer. You may now seek out Qi Veins. Cultivating at Qi Veins grants bonuses to cultivation, but also causes you to gain Elemental Energy. An excess of Elemental Energy causes your Qi to deviate, so make sure to regularly purge elemental energy from your Qi.

You also feel the vestiges of a technique as you progress in the way of the ant. This is your only freebie technique. If you want more techniques, then continue to hunt cultivating predators.

By the way, you cannot stack techniques with each other. You can only activate 1 technique per day, so no stacking Triple Master and Beetle Charge to get 6 actions :p

huh, close range deposit has no downside left. Let's hope we down't spawn a predator, which would change that fact, rapidly.

Okay. We kind of have no choice here to avoid death spiral. We need to cultivate this turn or our cultivation base collapses, we can't cultivate in our lair, and we're on the brink of starvation. Guess we pretty much have to eat the ladybug and cultivate outside.

I think this is strictly better than the +3. Even if we roll<10, we get three 1s.

So fairly straight forward we just clean up all of our maluses so we have our feet under us again.

I use beetle charge to ensure that we clean the gunk and cultivate a bit more there isn't really a problem with it as were already injured and so we'll have a 5.9 food the next day and so on so we can have 9 day were we're injured before it impact's our food supply again might as well take advantage of it.

At the end of this plan we'll be at 44 HP and we'll be fully healed in another three day's.

we really don't need the cultivation progress right now, I'd say not to beetlecharge it. outside of that, though, not the worst shout, I suppose.

Their isn't really a downside for it, sure we spend some HP but we'll still end up with over 40 and it doesn't impact our food situation. so why not?

not only is 3(1d20-9) on average worse than 1d20+3, it is on average worse than a straight 1d20

Triple master averages 4.5 and basic action averages 10.5
