[X] Has he considered talking to Elizabeth about this?

Look - yes the Shadow didn't like it. But avoiding the sore spot while Morgan is in the mental space to look at it isn't going to fix things now is it

Okay, we'll direct him to Elizabeth.

This is a conversation that was going to be important to have at some point. Whether or not Tartarus is the best place for it is still up for debate.

Best Get It Over With
"Have you tried talking to Elizabeth-san about it?" It's the obvious thing to ask, given that she's the person most likely to actually know the answers. "She's from there." You can still sort of see it when you look at her, even when she wears the school uniform- her eyes and hair give it away easily.

Besides, she lives with the rest of you. Even if you have to drag the answers out of her, there'll be plenty of opportunities to do so.

"But would she know about...?" Morgana can't seem to decide how he wants to end his sentence.

The only way for you to convince him is to admit to something you've sort of suspected for a while now. "I think... I think she might be like us. She left the Velvet Room right at the beginning of the year, and why else would she do that?"

You don't mention the one time you met her before that. Back then, she seemed genuinely ignorant, and you aren't sure how that fits with everything that's happened since.

"I dunno. She's weird." You concede the point. You aren't sure what her school life is like, but you're sure everyone there would agree with that, too.

"Yeah, but... I also know she was still there last time." How you know that is something you're leaving a mystery for now. "So something's changed. And I don't think I've been talking to her often enough for it to have been me."

Unless Lavenza's been talking to her about you.

But somehow you don't think that's it.

...You wish you could tell Lavenza about this whole thing. Maybe she'd have an idea of what would make her so desperate to grab someone she doesn't know and throw them back in time. But that's also not really a conversation you want to have. It'd make things weirder than they already are.

You suppose that may also be the sort of thing holding Morgana back from talking to Elizabeth.

You're glad when it's time for you to go up Tartarus yourself, because you've been imagining talking to Elizabeth about the future, and you'd really like to stop imagining it.

The blocks are getting long, so to conserve energy, you're being asked to avoid unnecessary fights. You're okay with that- you want to see the end of the block, and the best way to do that is to be as awake as possible. And you're already up past midnight, so you're sort of working at a disadvantage on that.

You're also trying something new today, where you split up to search for the stairs and Fuuka-san redirects everyone to them once the path has been found. The idea is that you'll cover new ground quickly enough you won't have to worry about rattling chains while you're on the opposite end of the floor.

...Apparently, something happened with the last group to go up. You're not going to ask.

This is as close as you're ever getting to having full control of your Tartarus experience. You're not really sure what to do with it.

[ ] The briefcases around the floor are full of items and money. You'd like to search through them for interesting objects and spare change.

[ ] You aren't supposed to fight any Shadows you don't have to. But that doesn't mean you can't observe them! You've never been in Tziah before, these are new and interesting!

[ ] Sometimes, people get lost in Tartarus. You aren't sure if that'll come up tonight, but if it does, the responsibility will likely fall to either you or Morgana- you're small and nonthreatening. You know. As long as they don't see the spear.

[ ] You don't want to be here any longer than you have to. Your focus is on finding the stairs.

On to tower exploration!

You've chosen to take on an important responsibility. We'll see how that plays out.

Scatter About- Part One
People get lost in Tartarus sometimes. They wander in, called by the Shadows, and SEES finds them scattered about the tower in various states of lucidity. Only a few a month, but enough that, in the nights before the full moons, Elizabeth will apparently ask adult Persona Users who don't have school in the morning to check the tower.

You think something bad will happen to them if they're still here when the full moon hits. You can't explain how you know this, but that's really no different from anything else.

If someone asks, you'll just point out that it's important enough for other people to go into Tartarus.

"Fuuka-san, do you know if there's anyone in here tonight?" Koromaru's got a good nose, so if the two of you work together, you should be able to find anyone trapped pretty easily.

"Liz hasn't mentioned anything..." You're still not sure how Elizabeth learns about this stuff. You'd say it has something to do with the Velvet Room, but she's not living there anymore. It might be a time travel thing, but you're not going to actually confront her about that. "But... I think I might sense something on the next few floors. Once you get there, I'll be able to make it out better."

When Fuuka-san tries describing her powers, she says it's easier to see things if it involves people she knows, or places she's seen before, with or without Lucia. It makes more sense than most of what Personas can do, but it means you wouldn't be able to have her just look ahead to the top of Tartarus even if.... if...
Why did it look like that, anyway?
...By the pattern of defeating Shadows, there shouldn't be multiple barriers after this. The only Shadow left to defeat is the Hanged Man, and you're all making your plans accordingly. There might be one, but no one's really sure- part of today's expedition is about settling a bet, more than anything else.

It's only just come to your attention that, if you aren't being asked to think about it, you automatically assume that that other barrier exists. It just... feels strange.

You guess you'll figure that out tonight. Once any lost people have been rescued from this tower.

When Fuuka-san announces that she's detecting human life on your current floor, you're immediately ducking through the hallways, around a Hakurou Musha that snarls angrily before being shot in the face, Koromaru barking as you go.

You let him lead the way, because he's faster than you, and his nose is better than your eyes even in good lighting.

Given that his magic is darkness, his eyes are probably better, too.

Past a certain point, though, you wouldn't need his help. When someone is here, they aren't always one misstep away from Apathy Syndrome.

Sometimes, if you're here quickly enough, the people trapped in Tartarus still have enough of their minds to scream.

In an unusual turn, there are two people stuck on this floor, standing next to each other. The only time that's happened before was with Shinjiro-san and Fuuka-san, and they were here for a very different reason than most. They're both girls wearing the uniform for Gekkoukan High. One of them, with her dark hair in a ponytail, is standing in front of the other, who is... probably taller?
I don't think their heights matter here!
You've never seen either of them before in your life, which is normal for Tartarus victims.

A bit less normal is that they're being threatened by an arm with a sword. Or... a sword with an arm? You think the mask might be on the sword.
That doesn't matter either!
....Right. This is tricky, because people trapped in Tartarus are actually less at risk than the rest of you, so long as they're out before the moon's full. Maybe it's because their minds aren't working right, and that makes them less tempting targets, or something. You haven't seen them under attack before.

Just by seeing this situation, though, there's one thing you understand. You need to get the Shadow's attention off these girls until backup can arrive, which could be anywhere from less than a minute to right before the Reaper shows up. And it's already intent on attacking them, so whatever you try, you'll only have one chance.

You have to make it count.

[ ] Zap it. If it's vulnerable to lightning, it'll probably get its attention.

[ ] You remember someone from your class talking about a video game where spears are really effective against swords. Maybe some of that'll transfer over?

[ ] Can you grab the sword with Psio? You haven't taken the time to practice manipulating objects like you've been telling yourself you would, but...

[ ] Besides being light, Kouga is also a useful concussive force. Can swords get concussions? If they can't, you may have a problem.

[ ] ...Hama would solve this really quickly, wouldn't it? (Roll 1D100, DC 71)

Looked up the monster Justice Sword. It's not weak to Lightning in persona 3 It's Strong.

Koromaru's still with us, right? My thinking here's to knock the Shadow away from its targets and create an opening for Best Dog to take advantage of, rather than caring about direct damage.

Psio might be useful for this purpose too, but I'm worried that the options' wordings mean the difference basically comes down to whether the sword is mentally grabbed (with the potential for it to break free) or going all in on the initial burst of force.
