Hugh's Perfectly Abnormal Mafia Game Where Everything Weird Happens Oh God (And We Promise It's Not Mountainous This Time)

So 6 alive. Me/Cyri/Wiadi are clears, Byz is a 3P, I'm happy I was right on the Draxy/Rosen unalign, and we have 2 suspects in Comi/Walker.

Realistically, I think we just go Walker in 90% of worlds and I potentially reveal as a roleblocker to block Comi if we're wrong?

Bad news is I can more or less confirm that Walker was transported, I tried the Phoenix Wright Investigation and I received an entire Gravestone... so if the transport was Pawn=Walker last night that would at least make sense.

Because I was inexplicably and unwarrantedly assaulted by a flock of birds last night, resulting in a transport.
...wait, what? That still would leave Scum willingly shooting into the unknowns, which is just baffling - even if one of the "clears" is actually a Godfather or something, it's in Scum's interest to make it take as long as possible for that to become obvious.

OTOH this would also be a bizarre fakeclaim when Cyri can confirm/deny it immediately, so I don't even know what's going on at this point. Mention of "a few townies" maybe means it was more complicated than a 1-to-1 transport? Waiting on Cyri for details, in any case.

For those of us who missed that game, mind explaining the Phoenix Wright power and the meaning of that particular result?

In any case, Pawn=Walker wouldn't explain Scum shooting -Rosen, but maybe a ring transport Walker->Pawn->-Rosen->Walker? That would make Pawn have been Scum's original target, which would be an actually good pick unlike -Rosen or Walker.

🍿

As it happens, so was I, with a loud transport even. And I could even believe that Cyri transported me and you, with the wolf kill going into Rosen after I had been pushing that Rosen was unaligned with Draxy and thus cleared with her flip. He could be less likely to be protected and if he was going to be pushed as a clear anyway, might as well kill him and discredit the clears if possible.

Also a trio transport could be possible like Wiadi said. I just don't get why the transport matters for reads here at all.

The following should be my role currently:

You are Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney, the most accomplished defense attorney of all California. Throughout your career, you've defended the innocent and always, somehow, managed to find justice end up in the right place. This case is a little different, though; some indeterminate time ago, you were caught up in the crime itself, and had to use extrajudicial methods to muddle your way through. Your role in this case is uniquely divided; you play a part in both the past and the present. Your goal is to not only find the culprit, but also to prove your client innocent. If you cannot prove your client innocent, you cannot win. Thus, you win only if the Killer is caught and you can prove it to the court.

You are Innocent.

Powers:
Time Paradox - Phoenix Wright is both a part of the case, and defending his client at trial. If he were to die during the case, he obviously couldn't be at the trial. Therefore, he is immune to Night Kills.
Crime Scene Investigation: You've made a career out of pocketing seemingly random items and flipping them out during a case at the exact right time. Once per night, you may Investigate another player and get one item that is related to them. To do so, send a PM saying Investigate [Player].
Objection!!: As before, you can only win by proving who the Killer is. At any time, you may send in an explanation of who you think it is and why, along with what you think their actions were. If you guess the Killer correctly, and have a reasonably good argument, then you win. You only have five chances before the Judge penalizes you for wasting Court time, though, so choose wisely.

Basically if I can grab items from people and use them as a narrative argument to convince the jury/judge/god that someone is innocent or guilty I should be able to instantly win the game... probably is what am I going to do with a whole gravestone to argue Walker is the killer?

Ah, meant to delete that as Hugh has been poked.

Rosen did claim they were shot yesterday.

Well, if they were oriented such that the kill actually was originally aimed at Walker, that would obviously be a pretty conclusive clear. Though at this point that's looking unlikely.

It would be just as strange to aim at walker as Rosen, perhaps significantly more so as they were the other major suspect.

Like I said, looking unlikely. But I assume that's what Walker was originally gesturing to by bringing up the transport in response to Pawn's proposal that he be voted out.

Tbh not sure why Walker being transported is a defense. Also not sure why Cyri picked Walker and Pawn. Probably some logic I am missing there.

Anyway if people would please sound off on if you have actually visited my stand? I can't really do anything at this point anyway. I am in the position I hoped to be, though. Just have to hope the last left is scum.

Um...actually it was -rosen believe it or not. I expected scum to aim outside the POE. Pawn and Walker were my targets.

Yeah Rosen confirmed it was a me/Walker transport and that he got noodles last night which is a interesting one.

Rosen did say he would and I trusted that, so I went to Cyri last night. Apparently transporter acts first in this game?

Unfortunate that the cart doesn't catch everyone the visits everyone that visits, but I'm not surprised, that would quickly grab the entire game.

While I appreciate your cooperation up to this point, Byz, I'd ask that people refrain from sharing this info openly at this point. There's still a nonzero chance of an exclusive wincon scenario, and as you say, it's not like you can do much at this point anyway...unless you're lying to us, in which case it can be assumed to be for malicious purposes.

Huh. Go figure.
Walker was on the poe?
Yeah, so transporting him with someone who wasn't would give us good odds of (a) saving a clear and (b) narrowing the PoE.

Anyway, with that resolved, I'll go ahead and reveal my own results. Daycopped Walker, got a Town result, shouldn't have been interfered with by the transport as IIUC that was a night action.

PoE's down to one at this point, unless anyone has an alternative explanation of the facts. Godfather/Lawyer/etc. isn't impossible but I'd like to hear an argument for who of the clears is guilty and why. @ComiTurtle you in particular seem like a good fit to provide that.

Considering that I know I'm good (alongside actively repping many correct town reads and being one of the primary solvers) and I think Cyri looked very good socially wrt Nani barring the Zaelix shot, while I've repeatedly stated that while Ori looked decent enough on Nani, if anyone was in prime bussing position it was them.

This seems reasonable pending Comi's end.

Meh, just trying to check if I win or not. It can wait.

Anyway Walker, Pawn, and Wiadi have all claimed to visit me. I've visited myself.

Comi has claimed to visit me, but as probable scum may be lying.

Cyri hasn't said either way, but I did target them last night and a transport of other people may have acted first but still should give them noodles.

Which is all to say…

Fuck it. Let's win together. Hopefully.
