[Battletech] A Life Worth Living For

I'm sorry, but I am banning the Meat Tree due to Lore reasons (the planet hasn't been colonized yet) and the Ironfin cannot exist due to you not having any heavy metals rich oceans to put them in. You can have normal tunas though!

Edit: If you need help with deciding what you want to pick, don't pick things that you believe would be profitable or useable, but nice or fun to have! After all, the Meat Trees led to heavy pirate raids...

Also, racoons are bears, and I don't think most places consider them genuine pests.

NVM, they are.

Is Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors an okay Plant? ^_^

Raccoons are viewed as a pest mainly because they are able to learn people just throw food into easy to open containers behind buildings but that's pretty much it for their pest qualities I mean occasionally they also steal stuff if they are a particularly curious raccoon otherwise they are just like any other medium sized woodland critter.

Also they aren't actually closely related to bears however the family they are part of is in the same super family as wolverines and red pandas!

I picked Magpies as they are rather smart birds, not quite as smart as other Corvids, but it could be fun to see them rise to possible sapience! ^_^

As to why a Pest? Well beyond all the Theft, there are a species of Parrot that strip a Car down to parts for fun.... If a Magpie gets bored enough, they could act like those Parrots?

I quite like the idea of Plants which act like Mobile Balloon Lanterns, symbiotic bacteria that create Hydrogen Gas, Bioluminescent etc too.

Could be fun!

Ooh! Could we have Slime as Pests? ^_^

-[] [Notable Fauna And Flora]: Giant Fish Crow and Barbed Waterwheels
-[] [Brought Over pest] Red Wing Blackbirds

For those that want to know, the Red Wing Blackbirds are very territorial and divebomb anything that exists near their nest.

The Fish Crows were made giant to try and make an alpha predator. The Blackbirds were meant to be a temporary bait species for them, until they escaped.

Waterwheels are a carnivorous, potentially fast spreading plant that lives in Wetlands. Barbs were added and meant to enhance its abilities and because someone thought they could keep human expansion measured by filling the water with patches of organic barbed wire.

[@] [Target Biosphere]: Bioengineered Architecture, such as Gene Modded Living Architectural Mangrove Trees for the Shorelines, Gene Modded Living Architectural Coral for the Sea Shallows beyond Shorelines, Gene Modded Mycellium & Coconut Tree Living Architecture for on dry land.

[@] [Notable Fauna And Flora] Megaflora and Megafauna, even things like Floating Aerial Jellyfish, Flying Winged Turtles, Flying Winged Cats, Flying Winged Snakes, various types of Dinosaurs, Dragons etc.

[@] [Brought Over pest] Slimes.

Certainly ambitious ideas. If they are deemed acceptable by the QM i will give you my vote but is a "slime" even a thing that can be genetically engineered? When i think of one i don't really know a relative real life similar animal that could be used as a foundation to build up to one? Maybe an engineered creature bought along with a purpose in mind that escaped and became a common pest? Idk. If hero accepts you'll have my support.

Also the vote doesn't start yet.

[Animals from the Indian subcontinent] like rhinos, Asiatic lions, elephants, red pandas, and other living creatures from where the dominant ethnicity came from.

Having been today years old when I discovered that the Great Eared Nightjar is a thing and has a range that extends into parts of India, I am now obligated to put it forward as our fauna so that we may have the fluffy dragon birds.

While I understand the desire for maximum shenanigans, please be advised that I said:
Need not be fully real but must be biologically possible.
(Boldened for emphasis.) So unless you can point to a BT species (that has been discovered a year after the DD) or a RL one with minimal adjustments.

You did not, after all, take Copyright Infringement. You have no means to make bioengineered living spaces or geneengineered dragons or gigantic human-eating plants.

And I will not allow slimes. You have robots to simp over, leave the slimes alone!
Great Eared Nightjar
A good example is this birb. Make it a bit larger, give it some more colors, and you have a perfectly useable animal that some rich douche had engineered but got free.

No Dinosaurs even?

I dunno. Giant chicken with flight capabilities sounds like an amazing animal to symbolize our society. The groundwork is already at least partially present within their genetics as a neat bonus.

A CUP OF CHAI PART 2

Estela Marta Dolores Oliva Gallego always considered herself as a average woman. Growing up her older sisters were prettier, smarter, more talented, more popular, more everything. She did not mind that, the backhand compliments from family members, the inquiries from her teachers about why she was not like her sisters, being ignored by the boys. She had her small group of friends, her collection of model figures she built up and her boxing. Her father's family was descended from a long line of boxers ever since the 20th Century, every generation produced it's share of local and state Champions, a few even competed in the Olympics. Her father had competed while in the Militia years ago and believed that his daughters should continue the tradition. Only Estela expressed an interest and both her and her father formed a close bond during the years training.

Organized Sports in the colonies where a makeshift affair and many people were hesitant about women's sports. Despite the President's approval and resources there were many who would not give space or time to women's events. Estela would visit offices, encourage girls and women to train and compete but it was a hard path. She took up a job at ChaquitaChili to earn some extra money and Puja gave her a free meal. She focused on her training so washing dishes, cleaning floors and all the various minor jobs were easy with her strength. She did not expect to meet someone like Damla. Damla was smart, beautiful, funny and had a demeanor that made everyone at ease. She reminded Estela of her sisters and having someone like Lakshman always around made Estela keep away.

Until yesterday, Estela was cleaning the floors and changing the trash like her usual routine. Damla was taking orders and money and Lakshman was making chai and coffee. There was an angry customer who was raising his voice demanding a free coffee because it was made wrong. Lakshman already remade the coffee once and Damla was holding firm saying there was no refunds. Estela was keeping an eye on the customer and watched as he pulled his arm back to throw the steaming hot cup at Damla. That was when Estela responded. Suddenly the 156 cm, 49 kg women leapt and grabbed the man's arm by the wrist. He was startled and tried to move his arm but Estela had him in a iron grip. "Now, SIR, the lady advised you that there is no refunds and even had your coffee remade. You have two options. The first is you can apologize for your behavior, take your coffee and leave. The second is that I make you wear the coffee and call the police that you tried to assault a women with a hot liquid. The security footage will confirm my story. Choose NOW."

The man relaxed and mumbled some apology. Puja raced out and told the man he was banned from coming back. As he left Damla raced out and hugged Estela. People cheered and Lakshman slapped her back. All Estela could do was blush from her head to her toes.

[] [Notable Fauna And Flora]
Genetically Engineered Chicken ( The Malay breed but edited to be Taller on average with some reaching over 110 cm high) and Sequoioideae (Redwood tree)
[] [Brought Over Pest] Rats

I picked balanced because that's just the easiest path for the target biosphere. As for the fauna and flora picks i focused on a mixture of species that had national value/near extinction/just plain cool factor. I mean have you seen Redwood trees? As for pest picks i picked two because Raccoons feels too meta gamey so i went with the opposite extreme and took two pest choices instead. Rats because they're a greater nuisance but also very useful food source for small to medium sized predators while Raccoons because well... Raccoon, you know?
