I'm mildly curious whether we are paying a portion of our earnings back into McMilliken's household.
For some it families it can be a bit of an honour or pride thing to try to pay a symbolic amount back. Mileage may vary on that though. But we also kind of dropped into his lap from nowhere and if we aren't/ it isn't appropriate then we should probably consider buying him a thank you gift.

It's a bit of an odd situation. McMilliken doesn't expect payment, treating Argus (and Dusk) like a lost nephew, and isn't worried about his financial situation as he doesn't have a lot of financial burdens.
For Argus and Dusk, they are in the "journeyman" phase of their career. Remember, spirits, mana, daemons and other ethereal beings are known quantities as are the people who take care of them. Normally, they could get room and board in whatever town they show up in for the services they provide (barring some of the bigger cities which have their own defenders or even teams of them in case of capital cities). Taking odd jobs for extra cash to get more then just the basics.
Basically, it's something neither side has given any real thought to.
So what's the time dilation like between this MG anime and Argus and Dusk's world? And what's happening, or not happening, since the Duo are not there?

It's 1:1 so it's been around a week back home. As for what is or isn't happening, not much, as they should have just now reached Eckpool Harbor. It'll be a few more days before anyone realizes that they haven't come by to pick up their license, and then another week or two to figure out that they didn't die on the way there. It'll be a while before anyone figures out they aren't anywhere.
Edit: As for Events: They'd still be in the first episode, which means a lot of their early problems are kinda self inflicted. Though there is a wild river spirit that's getting really hungry. That said, a lot of the things Argus and Dusk would have dealt with are going to be "solved" by their teacher, who will be searching for them once news of their disappearance and still possibly alive status reaches them.
Double the Edit: got 17 likes on the latest threadmark, but only 5 people voting. I doubt I can keep spamming the Quest Advertising thread. Invite your friends, please.
Last time on Ambitious Wonders Lethal Divide: Brave Swords of the Chrono Requiem
The Incantors planned to confront the mysterious new student, Argus, and his inhuman companion, only to find themselves stymied over and over again. When they finally have a chance, they are interrupted by another member of the Band of Vubrathy. However, Impulse Moment the Abandoned Fantasy of Light was not there for the Incantors, but Argus himself. Though they tried their best, Impulse Moment was stronger then anything they had faced, but it seemed even a demon of the Band of Vubrathy was unprepared for unique abilities of Argus and his partner Dusk...

Lore of Zatis:
Kerei: The world of Zatis is full of ethereal beings, and it is the Kerei, with their own ethereal partners, who keep a balance between them and the more physical sophants of Zatis. Backed by the various governments of the world fully licensed Kerei usually have around 3 partners, allowing for a wider range of skills with which to prepare for a variety of problems they may encounter, of course those in training tend to have less as they develop their bond with their partner(s). It should be noted that these ethereal beings only act in the interest of their Kerei partners, unless it is a rare spirit of justice, community, or "good,"and will easily follow said partner into criminality should the Kerei turn bad...

You are Argus, and you managed to finish a day at Rest in Pizza without incident!
Who knew that would be an accomplishment?
Also, someone apparently recorded your fight with... uh... Impulsive... Monument... DJ Demonhead.
You found this out on Monday, when the students at school asked if you really fought DJ Demonhead by turning into a fiery skeleton man.
[ ] Perhaps discre-
Obviously it was you.
Everyone seems surprised when you say it. Like they expected you to try and hide it or something.
Whatever.
Cody, the blessed Hitball champion, is giving you an introductory packet that somehow missed you last week. It seems he is also the Student Council President.
He seems like a nice guy. When he isn't passed out.
You make it through most of the morning, but come lunch time, some blonde girl walks up to you demanding to talk. She tries to loom over you, but...
It doesn't help that you are taller then her, and have back up in the form of Dusk, who is looking on amused.
Frustrated, she slams her hands on the wall on either side of you. You think she may be trying to pin you...
Didn't your Teacher tell you about this kind of situation?
[ ] Reverse the monkey! (try and switch places)
[ ] Use your words. Actual Social interaction!
-[ ] Get Dusk to do this, he's better at it.
[ ] Stare blankly until she goes away.
[ ] Something else? (pending GM approval)
GM Notes: Let me know what you think of the opening sections. More Lore? Other POVs? Should I make a tag about GM loves discussions? Should I continue spamming the advertising thread? Seriously, give me something besides dead air.
Woah! I know Argus has a low Empathy Stat, he's probably being cheeky, and he's a boy, but this it too soon. Somebody contact the anime police for this kabedon maneuver.
Argus does know how to cast "Summon Spirit Partner" that's how he got Dusk in the first place (under the supervision of his teacher). He can in fact cast it here and the option will be available soonish.[/spoilerNotspoiler]
Hmm... you know what? I'll give it too you. Combined Athletics and Might scores means it's possible to pull off. Might want to pick up some Speed later though. Just sayin'.
