Even after the reboot, I'm still trapped in the wrong anime!

So, what did people think of the fight? It was an odd thing, IMtAFoL would have been a difficult fight for just the girls, but Warrior of Darkness kind of all but killed him himself. Like, he was down to one health when Crash slammed into him.

Wait, He doesn't get to become a reoccurring character and Argus Rival? That sucks, but I guess it makes sense. Argus and Dusk's prior world was aiming to kill. The fight was good though. It's a shame we don't see IMtAFoL get to be explored more to see his potential.
 
Sometimes the heroes hold back and unleash their techniques once they fully spool up.
The MC just said fuck that time for the rider kick.
It set ups sos suspicion against the girls. But it plays on the classic 6th ranger trope.

Edit: Might be good depending on how you think of it. IMtAFoL rushed off before he could tell anyone his "discovery" of the "truth" of Argus and Dusk.

I mean, Argus says his home tried to kill the duo. Now, as the POV there's bias, but there's an argument to be made that he's telling the truth. First, the heavy spec into the Survival Skill. Argus and Dusk probably have to do a lot of camping rather than staying by people. It's the most assured way for fewer attacks. Not zero attacks unfortunately.

Argus' previous world sounds more Alive, and considering Dusk's sensory abilities

You aren't wrong. Think a bit like pokemon world, if the pokemon were willing and able to eat you to grow stronger. It wasn't a hell world by any means, travel between towns and trade between countries was a thing; it's not like just setting foot out of town or off the road meant immediate danger, but a degree of caution was needed.

Similarly, getting a companion spirit was more of a ritual summoning then going out a finding a critter willing to be your friend. There's a reason that Argus and Dusk's skill set tends to be complementary rather then supplementary.

Step 1 to forming healthy and productive relationships, never communicate. Instead be vague and mysterious if not outright ignoring others.

A bit less WTF, it's still a major change from the usual Argus, though less so. They were more concerned with the known enemy then the strange person fighting the known enemy. It wouldn't have necessarily made things easy in the aftermath as even in ninja outfit there was some rather inhuman characteristics: emanating wisps, the chains coming directly from your arms rather then being in your hands,etc. It'd actually probably be a bit more unsettling thanks to Uncanny Valley.

Technically it comes at the end of each "Episode" which isn't quite over yet.
