For Argus I picture semi-wild kid with kinda simple county or hunter style clothes. I imagine Dusk as like Moon=Millenniummon or DarkShadow a shadowy creature that sprouts from our body and has a animalistic head but a indistinct body and outside of his claws is mostly made of corners instead of edges.
Also, what mental images of Argus do people have? I'm decidedly light on descriptions, I know, but I'm kind of wondering what everyone's impression is so far.
On the one hand I feel that we Argus is very a happy go lucky fool, who is very loud and open. A bit of a shounen protagonist in the vain of One Piece or Fairy tail.
On the other I feel like imagining him as some kind of magical girl guy with Dusk filling mascot.
I have no clue where the idea of the Satyr being smitten with Argus came from. Truthfully, she got scared when Argus and Dusk instantly zeroed in on her. It was a bit like having a tank turret start tracking you.
Our protagonist lacks common sense, by his own admission.
Humorously wrong and/or ironic conclusions can be fun.
I'm imagining the scene as Argus not realizing that the woman tried to hide. Mons from his home world would likely perched on roofs quite often too. Making her startled at eye contact could thus reasonably be interpreted as her liking Argus's eyes, if you squint a little and tilt your head.

In a setting where the average person is throwing around one die, the ability to casually throw around five or six die at will is intimidating as all get out. Even the genuinely exceptional would struggle to do that for more than short bursts, going from what we've observed in the dodgeball game. The ability for some scruffy looking kid to casually pull off feats on par with a magical girl is likely unprecedented, and adding in Dusk makes things even wierder.
Huh. I was really hoping it would be low. Guess I'll also reveal that it was for Satyr Lady's reaction to the whole debacle, which is that she's more or less forgotten it and you.

I'm really sorry about letting this languish, but take heart, I am working on the update, mostly done and should be soon. I've updated the mechanics to also include what techniques can be purchased for Argus, as well as some other stuff I forgot to include.
Also, if anyone would like to help me out by finding some music themed magical girls or at least somewhat musical looking, I'd appreciate it.

The rest of the week passed in a blur with nothing really standing out, other then telling McMilliken that you've managed to get a job at the Cheese Connection. He seemed confused for a moment before seemingly recognizing the place as a pizza restaurant.
It's somewhat infamous for some reason.
In any case, Saturday morning you awaken to your gainful employment and the hope that you'll be paid. Unfortunately when you get there, it seems that The Cheese Connection has been replaced.
Where before there was a sign that looked like a fedora over a pair of glasses proclaiming the name, there is now what seems to be a tombstone declaring the location to be called Rest In Pizza.
Uncertainty takes hold. Do you still have a job? Did Mr. Holden offer you a position knowing it wouldn't be there for you?
"Argus? Oh, good you're early, Mr. Holden's in the kitchen. Go on in."
Cassidy!?
She smiles, "Yep. I like this theme, but it's gonna be a lot of effort. Now, in the kitchen, you." She shuffles you in and nudges you toward the back.
You are honestly shocked, if she hadn't recognized you first, you probably wouldn't have recognized her at all.
The inside seems to have changed, gone is the park scene, and now it looks like something from a graveyard interspersed with tables.
This place changed fast.
In the kitchen you see Mr. Holden wearing a long dark robe and a skull mask. He's also prepping the ingredients, while intoning "Rest in pizza." with varying levels of deepness. You tap him on the shoulder, getting his attention.
"Oh, good, you're here." You get a crash course in where everything is, ingredients, appliances, supplies, as well as working with Mr. Holden to make some pizzas to make sure you know what you're doing. Time flies by and soon it is time to open.
Dusk can't really help, and so they find an out of the way spot to observe the goings on in Rest In Pizza. Still, the first hour is filled with people wanting a pizza lunch, and you operate smooth as silk. Nothing too complicated comes your way, and Mr. Holden gains enough confidence in you that he leaves you to work while he goes and serves.
Argus cooking (Survival + Crafts +2 for the Kitchen): 1,3,9,10,10 = 4 successes
People want their pizza lunch it seems, and the orders continue to pour in. Not as smooth as when you first started, but you can keep up.
Argus cooking: 2,3,4,9,9 = 2 successes
Lunch crowd has left, but people still continue to come in and out. You are keeping pace, and you haven't made any mistakes so far. No complaints anyway.
Argus cooking: 1,3,6,7,10 = 2 successes
The heat may be getting to you, or perhaps it's just the repetitiveness? Either way you start to flag a bit and Mr. Holden comes in to cook a bit. Thankfully at this time of day the amount of customers has dwindled so you take a break and grab a bite.
Argus cooking: 3,3,3,4,7 = 1 success
The break was just what you needed. You feel energized and handle everything with no problems. Mr. Holden goes back to serving with Cassidy and all is right with the world. At the moment, anyway.
Argus cooking: 5,7,7,8,9 = 4 successes
You stretch your back and flex your fingers, as Mr. Holden comes back. "You can go on and head out. Don't want to work you too hard on your first day."
Is he sure, you can keep working, and he doesn't seem to have any employees besides Cassidy and yourself.
"It's fine, I've run this place by myself for years. I'm not that old."
Well, if he's sure. You gather up Dusk, who grumbles about needing to bring a book or something to entertain himself with for the next time, and head on out.
You try to figure out what to do with the rest of the day when you hear music. You remember what happened last time you heard music from nowhere and pull out your heavy yo-yo which you brought, just in case.
Sure enough, rising up from seemingly nowhere is a swarm of... well, they look a bit like grey chess pawns, but with floating, disconnected heads and hands. Their appearances catches you flatfooted as they rush you and Dusk.
Your yo-yo is put to good use, spinning around keeping them from overwhelming you as Dusk tries to sneak away, not really on for direct confrontation if they can help it. Unfortunately, they are everywhere, one of them managing to wing your companion as he flees up a building.
Dusk takes a moment to breath and heal himself, the mob ignoring him for the moment.
As for you, you are the eye of a storm, the weight at the end of your line lashing out and striking all directions. Your teacher had said that mastery of the chain style lent itself well to fighting crowds, but you are a long way from mastery. Still, as your weapon lashes out, you can see the pawns dissipating into a smoky substance, hanging overhead like a cloud. Your skill just enough to keep them from overwhelming you.
Initiative:
Mob: 7
Argus: 11
Dusk: 14
Dusk Healing Touch: 1,2,4,7,7,10 = 3 successes. Full health.
Mob Attack: 2,2,3,4,4,9,9,9 = 3 successes.
Argus Defense: 2,5,5,6,6,7,8,8,10,10 = 7 successes. No damage. Inflict 1 damage on mob. Boost: Stun, Mob looses rest of actions.
E???? = ????
The music suddenly changes. A glance reveals a girl with long green hair and what looks like some sort of floating keyboard playing her heart out. The music seems to flow into you, granting you strength. Strength you put to good use as you become a whirling dervish, destroying every pawn within reach, Dusk managing to snipe a few that were at the edges.
As for the pawns, they seem to collectively flinch, seemingly unwilling to face your wrath, but unable to run either.
Initiative:
Mob: 8
Argus: 14
Dusk: 10
Incantor Enigma Joins! 2,5,6,6,7,10 = 3 successes. War Song Activates: +2 Attack for Allies
As the mob tries to figure out its next move you hear an odd sound, followed by a bright green light disintegrates more pawns, and a blonde girl holding a strange giant axe is suddenly there.
Not to be outdone, you fling your hand out, seemingly without care, as your yo-yo almost unnaturally winds around the remaining pawns before going taught, slicing the pawns in half. The Yo-yo hangs in the air for a moment before zipping back to your hand as you release a long breath.
You close your eyes for a moment, and then ask Dusk if he's okay.
"I am fine. However, I am uncertain if we are truly finished."
Huh? You open your eyes to see that the smoke that the pawns turned into is still hanging overhead, and is starting to reform.
Troubling, and annoying.
You hear a clapping from behind you. You see a robed figure, you are unable to tell anything as the robe does a good job of concealing them, "A splendid performance. Splendid indeed, O Song of Silent Stars!" The Voice sounds male, and...
Huh? Is... is he talking to the girls? Is one of them Song?
"Of course I would know you, Final Chord! You who would bring an end to That Which Plays the Song of Revolution and Renewal! You who would spit in the face of our goals!"
You looked to the others, the girls seemed to know who he was, or at least the group he was with, if not the words he was speaking. Whatever he was talking about, didn't sound familiar, and you were at least aware of the big names among spirits and this sounded like one. Dusk shrugged, equally lost.
Might be a thing, but you're pretty sure it isn't.
"It matters little. I, Impulse Moment the Abandoned Fantasy of Light, shall bring forth my mastery of the S-" Impulse Moment was cut off when someone wearing what looked like a jetpack made of brass horns crashed into him, sending him flying.
Well...
You look up to see that Tuba Ram, or whoever they were, had caused the pawn cloud to disperse and fade away. Problem solved?
