Uhh, question, who is 'Claire'?

Sypha glances back at you and cocks your head
How did Sypha cock our head? :V

"Copper for your thoughts."
This sentence should end in a question mark.

"I don't know if this should count as the wisdom of ages or the naiveté of children,"
Ryza: "Why can't it be both?"

"It's easy to plan to plan to sell out
I'm pretty sure there was only supposed to be one "to plan" here.

How'd you get tied up in all this.
This sentence should end in a question mark.

The old bow guy refused to say much, and Kelton didn't know much."
Having "say much" and "know much" in the same sentence, especially this close in proximity, feels repetitive. I recommend rewording this a little, but I don't know how.

"I would not be surprised if at least one doesn't come to visit during your time there."
The double-negative threw me off here, since it sounds like Mantrae's saying that they're supposed to visit and we should expect at least one not to, but later she makes it clear that they aren't supposed to visit (even if I don't remember her saying that supposed to not visit) but we should expect at least one of them to anyway.

"I should probably go let Archduke Letoro know that I'm thinking of doing,
"what"

"off"

whales and other big fish
"Whales are mammals, not fish." ~ Bernard, probably

"Did you talk to him."
This sentence should end in a question mark.

"He came to talk to me, the night before I went with you and Lady Artemis, he came to talk to me."
One of these is redundant.

Uhh, question, who is 'Claire'?
Kelton's girlfriend, that's who. :V

[X] Stick with only Agrithian escorts. You can even justify it that Legerius needs all its soldiers to protect its own borders. You can take care of yourself.

My thought process here has less to do with whether or not Mantrae can be trusted and more to do with wanting to avoid drawing more attention than necessary.

Thank you for the update. :) Wish we spent more time with Sypha.

That was a fun update!

Might as well have the extra help at this point. I had anticipated Ryza doing the trip alone, so that she could move fast and fly away from trouble. But we've already got some people with us, so we might as well add a few more. It might be good for newly restored relations to have a joint project, too.

I have a funny feeling we're going to see a military engagement before this errand is over, though.

You shake your head. "No, I don't want you to just tell me because you think you have to," you say. "If you don't want to tell me something, that's okay. It's just… if we're going to be spending a lot of time together, I hope we can be friends, and to do that we should know more about each other."
I feel like this world would be a much better place if everyone had that kind of attitude towards the people under their authority.

"We also use ships to trade, since it's faster to move lots of stuff by water than by land."
Also cheaper—sails don't eat nearly as much as mules or porters.

As you desperately argue against your friends trying to train you without your consent, especially when Axton and Lancel join in and seem to agree that it's not a bad idea, you wonder if maybe having a bunch of friends might have some downsides. It'd be nice if they didn't gang up on you!
Yeah. Friends are nice, but they come with all kinds of drawbacks.

Anyways, let's make some more friends.

In the interests of long term diplomacy, it's time to start playing nice with the neighbors. Trying to keep the party small and subtle is a valid point, but I don't think adding another three or four guys will make a difference. We've already got a big cart clunking along.

For some reason, my first 'how to disguise an armed party with a cart' idea was to dress them all up like Monty Python peasants, and when someone gets close have everyone jump into the cart and pretend like they're dead bodies, and pull the "Bring out yer dead!" routine.

I can't decide if that plan would work better or worse if the people of this world were familiar with Monty Python.

Mind, I don't think it would work very well in either case. There isn't a plague on, nor many people around our destination to die (and be brought out).

I'm actually a bit split on this. I did kind of want to travel in a small group for this trip and the concern about Legerius's border with the Empire seems valid. ...But they're also our neighbors now so may as well start off working together.

We already had the mage rummaging around our home and are going to have more from the Agrithian now. At least we know and trust most of those. The best way to keep our home secret is fewer people being shown the secret
